I love how Todd and Dean switched vocals on the chorus with Glen. Those background lyrics are so good and it was satisfying to hear him sing them. I don't care what key it's in, they always make it work well. These guys are masters 👏
That's something they do A LOT. ever since they've been doing the song live...1994. it's great, you're right. Those lyrics make the song extra sad and beautiful.
I'm in love with this performance, it sounds fantastic, especially the little added licks and flairs in the guitar work (especially that solo). IMO people complaining about the key change or the new drummer are just deaf from having listened to nothing but the studio version for thirty years.

I was watching the origjnal video when I noticed the capo ..and he has it live ;) I'm not a capo fan but whatever floats your boat. He's a hugely succesful heartthob, and I'm clueless ;)
Glen had an accident a long time ago where he fell through a glass table and injured his left wrist. It effects how he can play, hence the use of capos. He's still fantastic, right?
Right?!?!? I feel bad saying it but this band needs a drummer that hits hard and pushes the song. And the new stuff I dont know what is going on but couldnt they just have had Randy do the record and not tour?!?
@@mjkwarch6755 I understand your point, I'm a drummer too and I like hard rock and metal, but in this case, you have to know very well how and where you have to push the band with your instrument. Watch and listen to minute 3:37 and you will see my point, it sounds horrible, and the feeling of that part of the song is gone... maybe for the new records everything turns ok with this drummer. Big hug and sorry for my bad english!!
This new drummer is such an amateur. No dynamics, no timing, no pocket, no fills cocky piece of 💩. I completely agree. He ruined such an awesome song.😬
@@floydage1 his vocals are fine. Supposedly it’s because he fucked up his wrist and he can’t play it the way it’s supposed to be played anymore. And to that I say either pull up someone from the crowd that’ll play the additional guitar while he sings, or use one of the techs.

It could be that because of the COVID hysteria, larger venues were all closed down at the time.....

Completely agree! I thought it was a great performance and the criticism puzzled me.
We’re not deaf. We just know the OG version sounds millions of times better. Don’t care that the midget drummer got replaced.
