Look for another job. Leaders who do not give a crap do not start doing it because you tell em.

It’s true, most leaders are unaware they’re being a bad leader, they will almost always counter argue that you should’ve talked to them earlier about any issues, which is why you’ll need to gather your thoughts on your “why” but imo 8 long years, perhaps under mostly the same management, same leaders, get out see the world a little, apply elsewhere where there’s good demand, and I always believe you can come back to your old job if anything, leave on good terms don’t burn bridges

I gave a supervisor a suggestion because they asked. I gave something simple as saying good morning as you have to go past us to get to your desk. I did it moreso to see what happens.....NOTHING. I didn't say what they wanted to hear

The trickiest part is not about what we want to say, isn’t it. It’s always about how we can say it in away that we can deliver our messages in an easy-to-digest way for them to take it (without feeling offended) 😅😅 and oh well…this part is hard so many of us decided not to give any suggestions at all 😅😅

@@adriannacook313 that is the reason I don’t say anythinf. My boss verbally refused to have me trained for another 4 weeks, so until then I just gotta swim. I told him I don’t have the resources or information and he said just hold on… what more can I say? He knows I can’t be successful otherwise

Following your advice this month. After 4 months of doing someone’s work and not part of my initial job description I am definitely going to have that “come to Jesus “ discussion with my leader. I don’t expect any response never the less I will bring it up. Keep you and posted. Ken you guys help me stay focus on my career plans.

Kathy, it’s inspiring to me (an agreeable, conscientious person) that you stood up and advocated for yourself. I would love to hear the update 🙏how are things going?

@@Bluesnakes333 Hello GreenTea. Thank you. Well I am currently laid off. I worked for a global staffing firm. Due to the recession I was part of 60% that got laid off. Been interviewing. Personally happy to be out of that job.

The leader knew exactly what he was doing. Hes not going to offer more compensation if the guy doesnt ask for it and hes not going to look for a replacement when someone is doing the job basically at no cost.

I would advise against talking to your boss. As long as you keep your boss looking good, they don't care what happens to you UNTIL you have another job. Its like dating a partner that ignores you until they want something. Then when you break up with them they think its "out of nowhere why didnt you say anything" I have been around a lot of jobs and dates where even if you are "balls out Honest" nothing gets done. They may talk all sweet and gaslight you into staying. But later you comeback to the same idea or they fire you for being a "problem" employee. At the job I am the hardest working, keeping it honest, my team is lazy, excuses, late, half days, dropping the ball. I am not their lead/manager/supervisor. The boss doesn't ask until I bring it up and even when I did he gave the other party the benefit of the doubt. Its not your job to police the team, if you are not the leader or getting paid as the leader.

I have been in retail for 16 years and I never get promoted they don’t let me do the things that I used to do it’s like it stresses me out so I almost proved my managers wrong thinking I can’t do it I never get to learn new things I feel like people are in my spot I’m not sure if I should sneak and look for another place but my family said that i should stay at this job

Look for another job. You don’t feel complete there and you are just as capable and knowledgeable as anyone there. Grow your skills set and try something new. Unless you’re happy with sitting back and just enjoying what you’ve got, moving isn’t bad.

Ummm.....tell you what dude. Before you go tell your boss you're not happy, you need to come prepared to the fight with him. He's gonna need some ammunition before going to the meeting. So send out your resumes and secure the new offers.
Now, do as Mr Coleman says. Please understand, bosses are not gonna kiss your ass because they have more leverage than any employee will ever have.

Just like you should tell Dave and branch out on your own. No idea why you put up with his smug, arrogant ways.
