DUDE, this video should have over a million views man. This is one of the greatest GMVs I've ever seen in my entire life. Every single milesecond fitted so well ^^

Thanks for the comment. Actually I tried to be as simple as possible because I don't like when someone can't understand what's on the screen and indeed it's a lot clear compared to others where sync is given by vfx/transition and clips have a minor importance. Anyway, the first part is slow, trying to show the elegance of gaming, but the second one is just a raw style video following the beats.

Oh well I just can't use (and I don't have) any other software at the moment so I'm forced to get up on something with vegas xD
But it's easier than it looks: cookie cutter, soft contrast, brightness & contrast and LOT of keyframes. Just mix them and here we go, you have a Just a bit of Fantasy video.

I forgot to say this before but the timing and clips are superb, great effects and everything, I don't really see how you could improve it.. its fucking great dude, Im not sure what else to say ;D

Awesome video man. Amazing job. It's funny that Big Boss jumping from the waterfall is the same motion capture scene they used in MGS2 where Snake jumps after Metal Gear Ray. They just copied and pasted the motion capture over to MGS3. I think it's the same engine as MGS2 in that clip but later changed it.
soft contrast (high contrast preset is my favourite, then make some little changes) + brightness & contrast, a good setting of both of them is more than enough to give a better look. In the video I used at least 3 keyframes for every clip: very dark, very light, normal.
If you're looking for something more.. "showy", a complete change of color for example (think about those instagram preset) you have to fuck around with others plug-in but since I never used them I can't help you ^^

oh of course settings change for every clips, just find what you like. Maybe you prefer something darker then level down brightness and add contrast ^^
i simply love this video! its full of clever and well planned transitions, its all on beat, great song, great editor. simply amazing seriously i want to get to your level :D.
what program(s) do you use? i only use sony vegas pro 11 but some people actually use multiple programs for their videos. its like i have an idea on what i want to do, but i do not know how to do it. where did you learn your skills do you play around with it or did you search tutorials or anything????

Too much xD I added a screen of the project in the description, take a look if you wish. Squares are the 9 clips in column at the same time.

it's not a preset but search for Cookie Cutter. If exist, than you can do it. You don't need anything else.

I really liked your videos, you have a lot of talent in synchronizing the song. There is something itching me however, you put on so much effects that it doesn't let the watcher receive the message you're trying to pass(that are the games you are presenting), the scenes could be more clear for a better understanding.

and actually I rarely look for tutorial, I just fuck around with everything because from a technical point of view I'm a noob. I (almost) always find a way to do what I want but it's not neither the smartest nor the most efficient, probably nor the easiest as well.. but it's sure idiot-proof.
Just try over and over again, experiment, look for inspirations.. that's all ^_^
