If Russel Crowe hadn't come along Souths Sydney would still be struggling down the bottom of the table. South Sydney are my second team (Like a lot of people) I went to the GF 2014 & seeing the long suffering Souths fans openly crying & hugging strangers brought tears to my eyes. You could see & feel just what it meant to them. I resonate with Souths because my team , the Eels, have not won a Premiership in 37 years & our window to win a Premiership ended last year in the GF where we were never in the game. They build you up to let you down. Well, well done to Souths & they have another great team this year & a real chance of going all they again. Go the Eels & Bunnies. Good luck to all of the Bunnies fans in 2023 & you will find me in the local Parramatta church praying every day for a Eels Premiersip this year.
My mum took me to the 1967 grand final the only one I've bn too, I did hav a autograph photo of the deltones but it was lost in a fire, I remember someone open the big gates An the crowd just swamped the gates, I do disagree about Russel Crowe Because it was george piggins that saved souths A born an breed local that lived for SOUTHS But he was stabbed in the back! IT TRUELY WAS DISGUSTING I WILL NEVER B A RUSSEL CROWE SUPPORTER BUT WILL ALWAYS BE A RABBITOH SUPPORTER!
another souths hero glory glory to south sydney
I agree. The atmosphere in 2014 was like no other. I've been to 3 grand finals but none as loud as the red and green
Passion right there folks.

"They hadn't won it in a long long time". Souths won in 1955 and then again in 1967, I didn't know 12 year was a long time lol.
👌
For Souths back then it was.
Dragons won 11 straight between that
Cleveland Williams We are all aware of that.
@@RugbyLeagueHistory yes cool for that one

George Piggins saved our club
Russell made us a force
Our club doesn't exist in 2023 without either and both of them
