Man, the cool thing about this soldier is that compared to the other conscripts he was the only one who had the best critical sense and quick thinking, he runs when he's at a disadvantage, he ducks to dodge some shots, he runs away to places like that "banker" in the part of the orbital bomber, he in short survives a lot because of his sense of self-preservation and quick thinking.... along with a lot of luck as in an example the stupidity of that human super tank in part 23 where he advances and turns sideways pro enemies
I think when he 'runs at a disavantage' also makes him very lucky,
because those SS Officers has the Accuracy of Teamkilling rather to the enemy lol.

This alien survived because he knew when to hide or run and knew how to do it so that he would not be shot like the others. If you look, he always put his life above the rest. When the alien destroyed a super-heavy tank of people, he let ordinary soldiers go ahead of him so that they acted as a human shield.
This allowed him to gain experience so as not to die like the others. In reality, also, the most courageous and/or stupid die first.
Really wish there were more of these unique characters. The guy with the shotgun is really interesting to watch.
The series itself is very well done and well done. After looking at it many times, I often noticed new details.

Well, the shotgun alien guy survived in the end. Right now, he is the only highest ranking officer of the alien imperial guard alongside his “buddy” that managed to escaped their homeworld. So, what do you guys think he’s gonna do after his homeworld is lost to the human forces? Go far away as possible to evade from being captured by humans, or form some sort of resistance to liberate his homeworld in the future?
My theory is that they probably going to another alien race to ask from tham to help them liberate their homeworld

@TheBlueGuy Twenty-Three Considering that he is an infantryman, there is only luck here, because he has been lucky many times. Take the same moment with the tank from episode 23 - if there was infantry support from there, our man would have died, or vice versa, if people had continued to attack (at that moment there was nothing but a firearm, and there were only a few dozen of them left, and less), then he would also have died.

He was one of these 3 men who surrendered, 2 of them died instantly. How lucky he was to be alive throughout many parts... This is pure luck, pure God's hand. I know it's an animation and that the creator chose to provide luck to one random stick figure, but if you see this from another prespective of view, like this is all real, the alien is insanely lucky!
Being honest, I'll like to see more soldiers survive for longer like this guy... I mean in the series it seems like any unit that enters in combat will always suffer fatality rates of 99.99%, with the longest surviving infantry soldier I've seen except for this guy lasting like 2 minutes at best.
I not saying this for talking shit, I think the series is among the best things in youtube and I've been following it since it began, it has an incredible amount of detail like when aliens start using civilians as soldiers and tanks made up of scrapt as the series advances and the animation and effects in general are amazing.
But it always tickle me off seeing soldiers blindly charging into things like tanks or bunkers like they don't have any kind of self conservation instinct and how seemingly at least on screen every soldier who enters in a battle will die after a few seconds most of the time.
Just my opinion.

The human soldiers may be cloned, beacuse in the beginning where they get off earth and spend a lot of years in space, with advanced technology its possible.
as for the aliens, i think they are either manipulated by the governor to die for him, beacuse some want to work with humans, or its just their natural instinct to do as the leader says, and as they see the horrors of war, that changes

i 100% agree the whole 100% fatality (not casualty) rate is a bit staggering, would've been interesting to see more wounded soldiers or soldiers knocked out of action

I didn't pay much attention to this Shutgun wielding alien, his rank has risen considerably thanks to his war skills. I wonder what role this alien will play if Season 3 comes, I hope he gets revenge for his race.

@@mothman8528 There was no chance of saving the emperor because the stones fell towards the bottom of the door, and the door was closed and the human forces were too close to the area. Even if he tried his luck, there was nothing he could do.

@@mothman8528 Maybe it was for the best, maybe if Season 3 comes, Season 3 can avenge the entire planet, including the emperor. Maybe in Season 3 they can get help from another planet of the same race, or from another alien race they are friendly with.
Wow shotgun guy has one of the best build ups ever because he was someone we either never noticed or just ignored until now.
Its now here we get to see his full evolution even in the end when he escapes the home world he was the one who survived other then everyone else (apart from the one Royal infantry member) but apart from that all higher ranking generals and even the emperor died during the final assault on the pyramid fortress so it’s nice to see a good alien being built up over episodes in secret.
And who knows he could even return in the next season. (If it happens)
Life was... Interesting for the Type of the Shotgun, he started from the low and reached the top just for being agile, cunning and knowing what to do at the right time, yes, he saw how the past ambition that his Species made was the one that condemned his world by underestimating another species, which were humans.
He saw how everything collapsed and how in desperation terrible things were done, the truth that will give him a lot to think about, also knowing that, the Emperor apparently had a plan, that in the end the Emperor could not escape to survive the fall of his World, so, as this Guy of the Shotgun has in theory the highest rank and all people of importance are dead, he will take the reins of what the Emperor planned in his escape.
I doubt that humans are cruel to their species and planet of origin, after all they showed sympathy and mercy to those who did not want to be part of the conflict, so when the whole planet is pacified (which would be after the Taking of the Capital and the Death of its leader) humans must make a new government under their occupation.

i think i have a theory:
the aliens had some kind of civil war and this guy is some sort of war veteran in said civil war, allowing him to fight so well against human forces

I appreciate and want to see more of theses characters, like the shotgun guy (if you plan on giving this guy a name in the future) from being a conscript to a Guard officer while also surviving numerous life and death situations. Note: I had a hard trying to keep track of this dude because there were so many aliens forgeting which one has the shotgun until close up on screen.

the reason he survived all this is because he used the shotgun, if you look closely at each video you will see that the shotgun is actually a supperriror weapon. And ARs and SRs are no longer used by humans, Shotguns are great for urban combat which the humans used excessively
There's even a mod for a grenade launcher in some models (they shoot blue balls)
@@xinguan2681 that, and the fact that these shotguns are so powerfull even the mere pellets and deadly. modern shotguns use a shell full of small round pellets which spread out, if a single pellet hit you, the armor will likely stop it. that is why shot guns are bad and long range. however we see here that the shotgun only needs 2 pellets to kill you and actually used in long range fighting and the armor of the aliens (yes they wear armor its seen in the ending and thumbnail) can only partially stop it.

Hmmm i have a theory the theory is that the Alien actually fought in the first alien war on earth and he escaped in some sort of capsule from the mothership (Ik that we Don't see anything like that but you know what i mean) so after he returned instead of killing him as we see in some of the episodes he was sentence to labor and after he aged (i dont the avarage alien lifespan but whatever) and before he died he concesnes got input in a computer of some sort and after (idk 150-200) years later it got pluged into a fresh new body cuz the humans were invading ( ok ima give a reason why they pugged his concesnes first of all he was veteran and had known the tactics of the humans so they pugged his concesness in the new body) and after that you know the rest
