Just got my results for Calc 3. Passed it with a pretty good grade by just watching your videos. Didn't attend a single lecture at my uni. Much gratitude for your work :)
I’ve had teachers in middle school who HATED when a student asked a question just to clarify something. They would say something along the lines of “if you were paying attention you would know” then go on and on and put them on blast and make them look like a fool in front of everyone else. Never asked questions because of that, from the fear of being humiliated. I feel those people should not be teachers. Also, I would like to thank you so much professor. I already took calculus 1 and calculus 2 but I am watching these lectures to prepare for calculus 3. These lectures are better than anything I’ve seen on the internet. Especially the ones you pay for. Plus I am reading a book along with the lecture to reinforce my understanding and the purpose of each section. My goal is to finish up to your calculus 3 lecture before the end of summer to prepare for calculus 3! Thank you for everything.

Thank you sir. I am 23 and about to start college while working full time. I will be majoring in Economics and will require a lot of math and quants. I have been bad at math my whole life and very lazy which I think is majority of my issue. Just found your channel and this video has given me the motivation to start taking math serious and enjoy the process
Thank you for your time, patience and consideration for the 'You Tube' students! This 63yr old student has learned with great ease and comfort from your videos. Your attention to detail and explicit explanations of 'why' the preliminaries and outcomes should be the way they are, is sublime. As a BSCE student from U.N.O, I wasn't expected to take Calculus 3. However, over the summer of '18 and all these years, I was intrigued by your teaching method. I took detailed notes, pausing your videos to jot down the work you displayed on the board - I was captivated by your clear explanations. I continue to this day to go over this exciting subject and enjoy the deeper understanding of my static, dynamics and structural analysis courses from school. You are a treasured and well respected. May God give you the strength and determination to carry on !
Calculus is the first section in math that truly opened my eyes to the beauty of math. And it was mostly because of my high school calculus professor, and now, because of you as I work my way through your Calc III videos. Before, I wouldn't see trigonometry or even pre calculus as awesome, but now I appreciate it all because it's simply amazing how the more I learn, the more I value everything that I've learned before it. Thank you for all your videos, I can only wish I had found your channel sooner
I found professor Leonard this past February when I began a statistics class that began in January. I learned everything in this corse through you. We use rstudio which has this traditional way of learning statistics more about coding than apply formulas and solving by hand. I was taking my final tonight and your encouragement email popped up. It made me smile and relax as I was stuck on a problem. After I finished my final I listened to your message. I feel like you popped into my inbox at the right time with a message that speaks to my exact experience with this course. Thank you for doing these videos and explaining in such clear detail that anyone can learn math.
I've always hated math. I've never thought I could do it. It kept me from pursuing my dreams for so long. I just finished finals in my college calc class with a 96% and I truly could not have done it without you. Thank you professor.
Who and what every professor should be! He doesn’t do it for the check nor the statue! He does it so that we students can have a check as well statue one day!
I needed this! I'm a mathematics education major at my university & you have no idea how many people have discouraged me. "Why do you want to be a math teacher?" or "I don't think that is a career worth pursuing". Well, I disagree. I have watched your videos and they have given me a confidence and an understanding that I wouldn't have had without a great teacher. I am not a genius at math, but I have a strong love for it. Just like anyone else, it takes some time to learn. However this is what I want to do as a career. Teachers really do touch lives. I strongly believe that. I'm sure you had people try to discourage you too at the start of your college career, but look at you now! You are changing student's lives & doing so much good. Thank you, Professor Leonard. I will stick to this through the end.
Thank you for speaking about this topic. Some of the brightest minds are shut down because of discouraging comments from teachers. Academics should be a place to build minds, not tear them down. I love your channel, well spoken video.
You are great to us all Professor Leonard, Thankyou for this. I needed it and needed to be reassured. I appreciate you and everyone who watches Professor Leonard’s videos.
Professor Leonard, thank you!! Thank you for everything. You helped me and my younger brother through Calculus 2, and Calculus 3 also back in 2016 and 2017. Greetings from California and we could always use a great professor like you out here in the golden state

“Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty-a beauty cold and austere, like that of sculpture, without appeal to any part of our weaker nature, without the gorgeous trappings of painting or music, yet sublimely pure, and capable of a stern perfection such as only the greatest art can show.” ― Bertrand Russell Back in middle and high school, I used to have this discouraging feeling from being made fun at when saying I liked Maths. However, by the time I got to college and had my courses of calculus A through C, I had finally seen the hidden beauty of Maths and FELT a glimpse of passion to study it. When you reach this point of realization, you'll lose every bit of insecurity in showing your love of Maths and instead you will grow a light sense of pride in it :)
Just went through a few of your videos. I am rediscovering math after many years of life. Your passion is evident & has encouraged me to continue with your instruction

I don't recommend that people do this but for some reason I've been putting off Calculus 3 for much of the last third of the semester and as a result had no clue or motivation to learn what surface integrals, divergence, flux, curl, etc were. That was until a couple days ago. It was great you posted this video when you did because it really gave me the confidence and encouragement to sit down and actually learn the stuff for the final. So the day before my final I binge watched all of your chapter 15 videos for that class and MAN was that a life saver. Not only did I get excited to actually learn the content, but I also almost completely forgot that I had a final in less then 24 hours that I still needed to learn a third's semester of content for! Needless to say, I went into that final with no sleep but with all the knowledge and understanding of the material imparted by you and your amazing teaching style. I couldn't have gotten that A without your videos, and encouragement :) . Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. You truly are the greatest professor, and I can say that with confidence.

I wish there were more people who looked like Superman and taught online math for free.
Holy sh*t!! Professor Leonard, you’re such an inspirational person. Every word you said is true. Not everyone is good at math, but everyone can learn if the effort is there. This video just came around the right time when finals are about to start. A lot of students are struggling they often feel stupid because they don’t understand concepts, but your approach is the right way. Education is suppose to be a fun, safe environment where all students have equal opportunity and are not judged by their peers. Many students feel intimidated at times when they can’t comprehend some concepts, and it leads to anxiety and self hate. Many students feel this way including me, but you’re lectures give a second opportunity to students. Thank you so much ☺️. Positivity is the only thing needed in this world.

One of the most humble and caring professors out there. I want to thank you so much for putting out math content for us to learn from. I wish you and your family a better future.
Much love from North
Carolina.
Professor Leonard, i am 31 and in school while working a full time job. Your passion and love for math has been the reason I have passed calc 2&3. I am taking diff Eq and linear algebra next semester and will be going straight to your videos. Thank you so much for what you do!
Oh WOW there's hope! I'm 32 all the way from KE, and now I feel totally encouraged. I'm taking pre-requisite courses to help me in career and join school in the near future. Good luck to to you and I hope you aced your exams!
@@elizabethn4131 while I only finished 3/4 of my EE degree so far and I’ll be 35 this year. It let me apply for an apprenticeship with my workplace and I just found out yesterday that I got it! Thank you for your kind words :-)

Great job!!
Who and what every professor should be! He doesn’t do it for the check nor the statue! He does it so that we students can have a check as well statue one day!
Maths is so intimidating and hard, but the moment you understand it you see the beauty in it
I needed this!
You are an amazing professor, you taught me Statistics super well... Love and Respect from Iraq

Professor Leonard, thank you!! Thank you for everything. You helped me and my younger brother through Calculus 2, and Calculus 3 also back in 2016 and 2017. I would watch your videos and recommend you to everyone struggling. Thank you for helping me, and you'll always be simply the best. Greetings from California and we could always use a great professor like you out here in the golden state
Well said, the appreciation can never be fully artuliculated for what you've done for us. Despite that. I just want to say thank you for being a mentor and teacher for us when we all needed one.
Your videos were of great help to me during my freshman year and your message in this video is a noble one that deserve nothing less than admiration. Thank you professor Leonard for what you are doing it's a life changer for many students from all over the world! Writing this from KFUPM Saudi Arabia
Thanks professor Leonard, I really needed the encouragement right now! Exams week is this week and it's really killing me.
You can do it! Don't stress!
I have a 58% on the class right now, I’m already dead. Good luck to you!
I'm 14 and now understand what limits are. You explain everything so well and make everything understandable. Thank you for your words of encouragement
“Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty-a beauty cold and austere, like that of sculpture, without appeal to any part of our weaker nature, without the gorgeous trappings of painting or music, yet sublimely pure, and capable of a stern perfection such as only the greatest art can show.”
― Bertrand Russell
Back in middle and high school, I used to have this discouraging feeling from being made fun at when saying I liked Maths.
Thank you prof Leonard. I'm a huge fan of math and you have been amazingly helpful throughout my learning so I can go into a field that I love!
I have dyscalculia and struggled throughout school in math. Professor Leonard you teaching style and methods of making math make sense has helped me tremendously in my college mathematics class. Thank you so much I feel more confident about my mathematics abilities 😊
I never thought one of your videos would make me cry
Professor Leonard, you are one of humanity's greatest people and I really mean that. I have been absolutely burnt out from not just school but from living and often times I don't have the motivation to learn. It's not that people make fun of me or make me feel stupid; I bring that upon myself. So thank you for your words of encouragement, I really need this. Looks like I'll be coming back to proofs really soon, and it is all thanks to you! Thanks again Professor!!!
Thanks for your kind words! Keep your head up, you can do this :)
You're the one which students needs
I have my Diff Eq final tomorrow and could not have seen this video at a better time. It is 100% thanks to professor Leonard that I got through Cal and now Diff Eq. I was never a “math person” but really feel like I am now and am so grateful for these videos. Professor Leonard is an amazing human.
you're a precious human being thank you
Thank you Professor Leonard, you are a legend. The GOAT.
PROFESSOR LEONARD, you can make a math discord page, where there will probably always be viewers online to help eachother out
This is a fantastic idea! Just finished my last required math course but would 100% still be interested :)

Sir , you are the best. I have 2 yr old son, I will teach him math through your videos and most importantly i want to teach him the values you follow and make him a successful human being. To me your videos are more than Maths. Thank you very much.
I love this guy, honestly, he teaches math in such a fun way. I love learning something I didn't know when I watch his videos. #ThoseCalc2Struggles
Perhaps you will never see this message, but I just wanted to put it out there. Although it is geared towards people who like math subject, the implications of your message are far bigger than you’ll ever know. Scrolling through my YT feed today, looking for videos on “how to deal with an abusive relationship”, I clicked on your video and started balling. Your words about not letting people take things you like away from you, gosh, touched my heart. I am 3 days away from college graduation (I lived through many math classes thanks to your lessons), and I feel like an avalanche of change is coming my way. I don’t believe in signs, but hearing your message the very day I realize I need to change my life is nothing less than magical, feeling like someone out there is watching our for me 💞. Thansk Prof Leonard!!
Well, I don't believe in coincidences. I'm quite sure that many people have spoken into my life at the EXACT time I needed them to during pivotal moments. I am very proud of you for making it through whatever you have gone through and graduating. That's an incredible accomplishment and I wish you the best of luck. God bless!!
What a wonderful person. ❤❤
Graduating with my degree in Economics next week. I remember watching your videos while i was taking Calc 2. Honestly I don't think I would have passed without the help of your videos. You saved me a lot of time and money, and for that i am grateful. The world needs more people like you Professor Leonard. I wish you and your family all the best.
I hope Professor Leonard realizes that his amazing shirt is going to become a meme format.
Yes, I do.... sadly
Professor Leonard thank you so so so much. You have been a part of many of our lives even though many of us do not know you in person. Thank you so much for imparting your love for mathematics to us college students and all those who follow you. Your videos definitely got me through calculus. Once again, thank you.
Why don't you create a Discord channel Professor? This way we can talk and ask questions in an easier way.
Yeah he should make a discord or reddit or something
It's a bit too much to ask thinking the free math videos he already provided us...I passed and did well in all my calculus classes because of him.
on my way to class glad i took the seven minutes to hear professor Leonard speak, i recently started learning about differential forms and using the wedge product this was incredible timing

I do not like math, that's due to a host of lifelong issues but nevertheless, the way you explain things so clearly, so thoroughly, and meticulously, I have nothing but utmost respect for you Professor Leonard. I see your passion for Mathematics and I feel nothing but admiration. You, sir, have my lifelong respect. as you believe in us, so do we believe in you. Thank you.
I needed this. Finals are this week.
I had one of the worst Calculus 1 professors in my college to the point where not one student could legitimately not depend on him. Thankfully, my brother gave the word to me about you and you helped me survive the class. Thank you for teaching me, for teaching us 🙏
Please tell me the T-shirt will be on sale soon! I really want one haha.
Petros Lazanis Absolutely. I'd buy a shirt like that in a second. What an amazing person.
I made it through Calc 3 thanks to you, your passion for math and your passion for teaching. I've had a lot of professors who were really good at math, but very few professors who taught it as well as you do. So thank you, Professor Leonard! You are an inspiration to students all over the world. Much love from Canada!
As a math major, I know exactly what you mean.
Eddie Woo disliked this video three times because he's jealous of Professor's pythons!
What?
I was struggling with what major to choose when I first entered college. I had to take algebra, pre calc, calc 1, 2 and 3. During those semesters I used to watch your videos to learn. Your way of teaching math was so effortless and meticulous that Math became incredibly beautiful to me. Now, three years into college now, I am a math major and my goal is to be a math professor. It was all because of you, Professor Leonard. Thank you for inspiring me and many others. And also thank you for believing in us.
Hi Professor Leonard. I'm a mature student in Greece, studying for a BSc in Psychology. Your lectures on statistics got me through the basics, giving meaning and making it easy to learn. You are now famous amongst my college classmates in Greece who are getting valuable help watching your tutorials :-)
As a teacher myself, I have to say, your style of teaching is an example to follow for all teachers. You're making a huge impact on students (and teachers) around the world. Thank you!
So much respect for what you do Professor Leonard
Dear Professor Leonard, you’re a great man and a great teacher. I just finished calculus 4 and differential equations. You helped me through many exams. Keep on mathing. It is truly important. Some people will never understand. You’re a resource for many people who will one day be Engineers, mathematicians, and really any other area that requires mathematics.
You are an incredible human. The world is very lucky to have you and not just for your videos. Your viewers can tell you are a gracious and honorable person and the people who get to experience you in their every day life are very fortunate. Your shirt rules - I would buy that merch.
