the fact that he get's to speak his native tongue, *chef''s kiss*. To often actors are forced to conform to english for its accessibility. Yet, much like in sports, having people speak in their native languages makes them far more comfortable, and generates far more interesting videos
This was first made for the spanish channel of gq, this is the sub version of that, by the way the subtitles could be better …
Yes, he said some phrases very Mexican and the translation was good, but lost the special meaning he is saying.
The way he explained how cassian wouldn’t like ranchero Mexican music was spot on
Exactly and it shows that he's not just playing a role or just reading off a script but he understands the character.
@@rayray9865 No too often do actors in large movies just play a role without deep diving into their characters. Accept for maybe Jared Letto. He thinks he understands his characters but actually just makes his own sh** up that makes no sense for his characters, lol.
*I'm not Mexican, but I'm glad that Diego and Gael are getting the attention they deserve, both are great actors*
He's quite romantic about analog things, especially the camera and notebook. I appreciated how different this one was than some of the other 10 thing videos.
I feel like Diego Luna is an actor that can naturally act as either a younger man or an older man without even any make up & just pure talent.
Diego Luna, such a relatable dude, he’s pretty down to earth and a wonderful actor. I enjoyed listening to him talk about his essential items. The thing about the cables was funny, and I feel that, so many cables everywhere 😂
“You get drunk and don’t have spicy food in the morning” this man really is a Mexican 😤✊🏽
He is and I love them doing this in his native language. He speaks perfect English but this is BETTER.
I really liked what he said about notebooks, especially the “ok, this is going to be for THIS project..” part and then it ends up a mess. So relatable, haha
I really liked how simplistic and realistic these items are and it was nice listening to him
I love his energy and personality 💜
He is my celebrity heartthrob, though my friends don't really get it. It's something in the eyes...
Girl SAME!!! I'm 31 and i have had a crush on him since i was like 12 lol!
He has a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, but also a softness/kindness. He just seems so relatable.
This is what this series should be, personal and intimate, things that generally mean something to the individual and give insight to the person. NOT like the Bear Grylls one which was all on brand and "Oh, I travel with a cardboard cross a picture and a bunch of crap I've collaborated on....."
I don't like bear grills cause he eats snakes for fun
But honey one way or another , man's gotta make that paper
"Slaves of these cables" I totally get it
I’m disappointed Gael García Bernal isn’t on this list
I love the simplicity and practicality of this beautiful man. Te amo y mas, Diego!!
He reminds us how important it is to be part of the world, not to be disconnected with headphones, to stay with friends when traveling, not to wear disposable masks, not to be a slave to technology. He is a very active activist, forgive the redundancy, and his words will always be like this with a clear message: BE PART OF THIS WORLD
@@botanicus2921 That's why he had a reusable mask, like me. Disponsable mask's it's more garbage.
*Seeing the Habanero Hot Sauce*
Me: Put Diego Luna in HOT ONES asap!
Do you recognize the sauce? Looks familiar, but I can't place it. Not many have that type of labeling on the back with so many colored fonts.
he chooses things that make him humble. Seems like a cool guy to have a drink with and share stories with. I look forward to Andor because he made a lot of movies great.
Mexicans, Asians and West Indians all know about pepper sauce/hot sauce being an essential
Andor is the best TV show of all time and Y Tu Mama También is the best movie of all time. I love how much Diego talks about his kids.
;Talento raro' means strange talent in Spanish. Assume you mean that he's 'un talento especial' 😜
That camera point of view of his grandfather makes me know why he is such a great actor. One of mexicos best come up stories.
Diego said "I know you think I'm young but I'm actually an old man and I can prove it by digging through my bag." {... in spanish}
I have loved Diego Luna since Y tu mama tambien. He is a great actor as well as a beautiful person.
He acts like he's ancient but he looks perpetually 15.
I love how real this was haha. I feel the other people were like “hmmm what should i say that i cant live without thatll make me look interesting”
Whereas diego was like. Ah pen, mask
The most interesting thing on the interview is him not his stuff
I can listen to him talk all day and night! ❤
Pens are highly underrated. I always travel with one or two. After writing things down it is also easier to remember things.
Meanwhile Jason Momoa’s like “yeah…I travel with like eight motorcycles and thirteen guitars w/ me at all times”.
Sick I love he did it in Spanish
Te quiero mucho Diego Luna. Eres un chingón
When i first saw interviews with him I was shocked how completely different he carries himself and sounds and his mannerisms. Like I had no idea of even a trace of accent in his Rogue One or Andor performance, whereas in interviews he speaks in such a way you could never imagine him putting on another accent. He even somehow looks different in Andor, looks bigger sort of, just by his posture and how he talks.
Uno de los mejores actores mexicanos 🙂
All the Love this man is getting for his talents makes my heart melt 😊
since he kind love spice, he would be a good choice to be in "First we Feast/Hot Ones" interview with Sean...
Adoro! :)
His performance as Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo was very good.
haha, good for Diego, speaking in his native language and ....he kinda wiped the floor with all the Ken dolls that have been part of the series, for once he came up relatable stuff, situations and feelings
The legend Don Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo in the flesh...
Man makes me want to learn Spanish listening to him speak, Love to the Latinos out there!!!
I love his energy and personality
2:38 Obviously “The Force” theme
The chefs knife, this guy gets it
Humble and down to earth guy, he preferred speaking spanish even though he speaks english 🫶🏻🇲🇽
Loved this episode!!
i love that he did it in spanish can’t wait for andor
I’ve been a fan of his for years and I’m proud of how far he’s come :)
Diego uno de mis actores favoritos
i could listen to his “nonsense” all day
Te amo Diego! Can’t wait for Andor next week 🥰💞💞
What a great actor
A really down to earth nice guy.
Wow I think his notebook is a Leuchtturm! Same kind I use for bullet journaling! So fun ☺️🙌🏻
Love it! What a legend.
Que video tan bueno!!! Gracias Diego... saludos desde Venezuela.
thanks gq, as if I needed further reasons to fall even more in love with diego 😒
Te amamos Diego Luna
Diego is such a lovely person. I love his talent, so pure yet so bizarre. I've been obsessed with him since dirty dancing and his clip with Katy Perry. He's a legend
Hahaha, cable complain is completely valid.
Loved him in Narcos !
practical stuff esp the pen and pencil I keep those on deck
I just love you Diego Luna and I can listen to your 'nonsense ' as you call it nonstop. I loved the fact that you spoke your mother tongue and you were not forced to speak English. It sounded beautiful and natural. Of ocurse, I love your sweet accent on English. I am your generation as well, so I prefer a pencil and a pen and a notebook, instead of writing into the mobile or tablet. So it makes perfet sense for me. I always carry a pen in my rucksack, wherever I go. I agree with you for the cables, plugs, adapters etc. yes, we are slaves of them. My desk is full of cables and devices awful!
I just want to say that I love the new series it is great to see Cassian go about his business, because in Rogue One he had to die with Jyn.
He's so right about the cables lol
Love this man
Relate with all those cables🤣🤣
Ok so he actually is perfect
Thanks
I like how he's speaking in his native language. It feels like people can be more themselves and talk naturally But i understand why most people just speak English on UA-cam
That is such a nice camera. And a nice knife. Diego has good taste in things
I love Diego for his role as Cassian Andor
love Diegoooooo!
i don't know why, but i feel such affection for diego luna since i watched y tu mamà tambièn, i hope to see him more in the future!
Que bien me cae Diego
I love it so much ❤❤❤❤
Love that he has a Yashica Mat.
Editorial Anagrama rifando como siempre
2:03 Ever heard of a thing called open-back headphones?
hes such a dad😭😭😭 i love him
Te amo Diego!
❤diego
a huevooo eres lo máximo Diego
I've had the biggest crush on this guy since Dirty dancing.
Saaaame. I’ve loved this man since high school when I saw Dirty Dancing. I’m 30 now and I still swoon when I see him 🤭
Beside the Habanero all the rest is also what I use probably because we have nearly the same age. but Diego would be my perfect friend to share ideas. And I also have the same worries about the masks, cables etc etc.He is really cute.
I LOVE THIS
I love this😍
i remember when this guy was in a vampire movie with Jon Bon Jovi like 20 years ago hahaha he's come a long way
Another actor in the medium format gang🤟🎞
Books, cloth masks, pencils, pens, notebooks... Some of my own essencials too!
what a great guy
Te amamos Diego
Mi episodio favorito a la fecha ❤️
Mi Diego!! 💗F***ING LOVE YOU!
Finally! Someone with things that feel real. No sponsor ships, no showing off, no bull sh!t
Thank you, Diego!
*Watch the Jeremy Allen White essentials*
You’d probably dig Jon Bernthal’s recent ep.
Johnathan Majors was pretty good too
Rafael Nadal literally showed his meds 😂
