Equity and Equality: A short animation film

We are delighted to present two short animation films that aim to explain concepts of political citizenship and discrimination and equality, respectively, for the purposes of training workshops organised to enable and empower elected women representatives in gram panchayats.
Oscillating between the preferable model of age-old residential workshops and increasing possibilities of online trainings in the wake of covid19 related mobility restrictions in some regions, we are finding creative ways in which training content can be made more exciting and accessible for the communities we work with.
Here's Part 2: Equity and Equality aims to explain the right to gender equality in the Indian constitution, including women's fundamental right to participate in politics. It further aims to build elected women's understanding around how as elected public officers they can advance gender equality and justice in their communities.
