- Check out this LS swap on a Trans Am Firebird. This thing is so much fun to drive thanks to the 620hp from the LSX 454 crate engine. It is backed up by a 4L80e transmission. The engine is running on a Holley Terminator X Max with a Terminator Stealth 4bbl throttle body.

Cool Build! I’m doing a similar setup in my 1971 Monte Carlo. Thank you for the validation my money was well spent with the LSX, Built 4L80e, Holley Mid mount,Terminator X Max! And Dakota digital dash. Enjoyed the video. I’m a new subscriber now.

Was wondering what convertor you ended up using with that combo?
It’s a stock 80e converter that we just loosened up. If I had to put a number on it.. 2800.

Did you run any adapters to get the shaker to fit? Did it line up with no mods?
We fabricated all the parts to make it function. It did not line up with the hole perfectly. The engine was a little further back than the original position

You've got to get a front strut connecter... It won't rattle when you go over railroad tracks anymore.
? Got terminater u use the factory computer for headlights horn turn signal ect. Any good company sales a kit for this ?
There is no factory computer that runs the chassis electrical

@@Zero2SixtyPerformance Not trying to tell you how to build but Holley says they should be inside the car. I found out the hard way the Terminator X Max that was installed under the hood of my G-body should be in the cabin. It got wet, sent it to Holley and they said it was ruined. Due to supply chain issues I had to buy a new $1400 kit. Only some of their systems are water resistant.
@Steve G Thank you for the suggestion. You always want to make sure the connectors are sealed properly, if not you definitely could take some moisture in. Sorry about your luck though! No one wants to have to buy something like this for a second time.

If you don’t mind helping , im running the same setup. What flexplate/spacer combo did you have to run ? Part numbers would be amazing but anything helps
You can get the parts right from Chevrolet. I’ll have to look up the numbers
I know it’s a customers car but would u happen to know the MPG with that engine and transmission combo in that car, I have a TA that I’m considering do the same setup but with a 6 speed?
I’m thinking it’s more of a smiles per gallon kinda car. I would have to say maybe 16 city

I have a 73 TA with that shifter, how did you make it work with a 4 gear trans with a 3 gear shifter? I am getting one with a programmer.

@@Zero2SixtyPerformance you don't manually shift the car when let's say drag racing? Or just let the car do it's thing?

Even as a drag car there is really no reason to drop it down. The transmission will shift when it needs to. This car is just a driver. It going to go right from park to overdrive everytime.
