Very nice! Sounds like it would be very difficult for most players to get 8 or even a full 12 participants for a local wireless session (especially with the number of Switch systems needed alongside a copy of the game). And I can agree that at least six Capture Cards would've been difficult for you to edit with one or two players connecting together. If I were to do this online with my friends and we had two players each on every Switch system, I'd have to get my younger brother to join me while everyone else who'd join would have their own friend/relative playing with them.
@@Stopdoor if you could check it before tuesday it would help me a lot 😭 i have to do organize a playtest session for a subject and I need to know that cuz I will be using 3 switches
@@paubartolomealvea4081 Ok, so I checked it out - when you play Team mode in local wireless, the host player gets to pick and choose the teams for everybody in the game, individually. So players playing splitscreen can be on different teams.
@@templex7978 This is done with four Switches connected wirelessly, and then I have a fancy device called a "Bre4k" multiviewer that lets you plug 4 HDMIs into one
It's been awhile but I'm clicking around the video and most instances there's only 2 or 3 out of 8 people using auto-steering - this was a crowd of more than 8 players as well so there was a lot of swapping going on and it's easy to forget to turn it on/off 🤔 Having even half the players being experienced is honestly notable for me lately, I'm hosting with a lot of random crowds lol
Oh sorry should've explained in the description, this is four consoles connected via local wireless. I use a fancy device to show them all on one TV and record them at once.
the fact that you can play the booster courses without the pass in online mode
This is actually local wireless but yeah, only one player needs to own the pass and then everyone can pick from it
I want the pass now once all of them are finally available
Yup. Data just living there on your hardware rent free.
You mean it's living there without the user buying it until the Online membership expires
Very nice!

Unless you download( or in this case, buy )the game with a download code
If multiplayer (normal multiplayer) had up to 8 players at once:
Lets hope mario kart 10 will support 8 players!
This is my dream. Looks amazing.
8 Canadian Racers Going Head to Head for The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Glory Championship
Cool. I have made 8 player splitscreen work on my PC with yuzu (4 emulators)
check out this guy's channel for some insane emulator Mario Kart multiplayer feats lol ua-cam.com/play/PL9_RNRJ8Ay9jZ0umoMHrFad-QA-jVtPNa.html
@@Stopdoor Yeah, ive seen those, cool
Requirements?
Can you play team mode with 6 players? (3v3). Would mean at least one screen has each player in a different team
I'd be pretty confident to say yes, people do online clan wars with the team mode so I imagine it's quite customizable
I could maybe test it later but I don't think the other splitscreen player on the same Switch has to be part of the same team

Looks very cool, but one question remains: Why did so many of you fairly experienced players not deactivate the antenna?
