Great video. Other than the sound, what other issues made u make this repair? I have a 2022 ram 3500 as well and I keep losing coolant with no visible leak. After about 3-4 hours of driving the temp starts to climb. I’d stop and have to add coolant. Went through 2 jugs of coolant on a 4 hour and 40 minute trip yesterday. Did you have a similar issue?
I apologize for the sound! I never got into the UA-cam thing enough to justify better equipment. I had a very similar issue! Not even white smoke or white residue on the tail pipe. Just losing coolant. My mechanic friend told me the 2 most common issues for it would either be a head gasket or the EGR cooler and considering I was half way across the country I took the risk buying the EGR cooler. It worked and I had the truck for another 40,000+ miles after I did the fix with no issues at all. Customer service at bullletproof is phenomenal and I would happily do business with them again! I hope this helps you
The piece of plastic you are talking about at 0:48, mine seems to be two separate pieces, one of which was broke into 2 giving me 3 total pieces. I’m considering using jb weld as none of the dealerships near me seem to have any of the replacements in stock. Any insight you can offer?
It’s a bulletproof EGR cooler. It was $1300 and the gaskets were about $100. I think it was $150-200 or so to have the cooling system flushed when I finished

@@jonalvarez4790 lol I was referring to the sound your vehicle was making but I definitely appreciate the info bro! Be blessed 💯
@@phirstplaceg1515 it only made a sound because I didn’t replace the gasket between the exhaust and EGR cooler. Once I changed that it was all normal

How is this upgrade going?
I just got rid of the truck with about 40,000 miles on the new EGR cooler. 0 issues. And the truck had no further issues after this
Thanks
