  • A lot my viewers ask my why I use Namecheap instead of GoDaddy when it comes to registering my domains, so in this video I'm going to show you why GoDaddy is a bad idea - when you register the domain, and also when it comes time to renew the domain.     I'm assuming this can also be done with free domains provided by HostGator but it seems a little shady to take that free domain from HostGator and then switch over to another service provider after the free year is up!

      Typically Hostgator will give you the first year free if you sign up for a multiple-year registration right off the bat... so you’re not actually getting it for “free”. There are other registrars that have terms and conditions that if you transfer your domain away from them within the first year, you pay full price as if you were to renew with them. The registrars always find a way! Namecheap has been good to me thus far which is why I use them personally
