Voltaic Shock Fences have a minimum distance they will drop from each other and they have basically a maximum distance they will link together. So they work better when you are moving usually but if you move too fast then they don't link together and don't really do anything for you. So they can be tough to really get to work properly and in a concentrated effective way.
38:59 What happened here is that the Sharpshooter has a built-in ability that makes it so if you overkill an enemy (with any weapon, not just M1000), it releases shrapnel and damages nearby enemies. Thanks to the overclock on your M1000, it one-shot the vast majority of enemies, releasing shrapnel, and its built-in pierce meant it did that to a whole line of enemies. All that shrapnel then did enough damage to one-shot everything around them, causing more shrapnel, and a chain reaction, clearing the swarm with a single bullet. This is also why you thought you saw the bullet going at weird angles or hitting enemies through terrain: the bullet goes straight and can't go through terrain, but the shrapnel going in all directions means it can chain reaction around terrain.
If it's any consolation, you wouldn't have gotten that scout achievement anyway because it requires you to be using the Recon kit, and you were playing Sharpshooter
From farming Hazard 1 to test certain weapon combos, each level seems to have an average of around 100 gold(including the side objective completion), and around 50-60 nitra. You'll get a bit more if you hit every loot bug and if you have the artifacts for gold and nitra from mining rocks. I think the highest I've gotten from one level was closer to 80 nitra if I recall correctly. Also, I've gotten my pickup range to over 100% before, and it starts to pickup experience past the edge of your screen, which is quite entertaining. There are some runs where I wish for an endless mode just to see how ridiculous it could get...
Just so you are aware, Turrets with the mining upgrade count for the mine 2000 rock and stone challenge and also are affected by the scanner upgrades that let you find nitra, gold and xp when mining.
The wall mining uprade + Plasma for the turrets is a double edge sword. On one hand, you can mine everything. Otoh, you will easily get overwhelmed without walls making chokepoints.
My heart broke for you on how close you came to 55 without getting it on the haz 4 win. Really hope you keep the series going but do what is best for your fun and business man. Love your content
Enjoying your enjoyment of this so far. I'm unsure if you've encountered this so far, but if you want to hyper focus, or at least max out your lmg turrets, you do want turrets to mine. There also is a plasma upgrade, but if you hit the holy trinity of turrets can mine, turrets follow you and 150% bonus attack speed, it's... Beautiful. Also, just incase you didn't realise, charges are a waste of time, and get reload speed over everything :-) also, you can do a similar thing with flame turrets, but the flames have innate pierce, beam weapons can get range bonus, and they can get bonus beams as a legendary upgrade. I would request, if you get either going please hum the imperial March as the challenge 5 bosses are humbled.
The M1000 seems like one of the few times he balanced the growth, and got an impressive +8,000 DPS ... though the innate piercing and long range helped a lot.
It would be nice if there were more unique upgrades. like increase damage or reload based on your movement speed or mining speed. Or increase pickup the faster you move.
Fastest way to level? Just runs on hazard 1? Orrrrr? I don't have enough time to dive to deep (pun intended) so it's probably a stupid question, but lol had to ask

The scout variant you’re playing gives the sniper bullet a cleave effect. That is why things are dying around the targets it pierces through.

You do a really nice map exploring first one I seen that actually moves around, love the exp gathering you do

You're definitely still undervaluing the crit stats, probably. With enough crit chance, crit damage up just becomes damage up.
I swear wander has a diffrent build then us normies, i get a magnet every 4-5 levels and he is getting one every 1-2 .,.
Maybe frozen enemies explode and thats why you suddenly cleared whole groups?

I tried to do hazard 5 on the first map yesterday and i can say for sure that i would rather do hazard 4 blindfolded with only 1 gun.
