Wow, that pistol looks fantastic! I like how the slide serrations align with the optic and the magwell looks great, too. I admire the attention to detail that went into this one. I imagine it was hard to return it to ZR Tactical Solutions instead of just sending them a check... 👍👍
Interesting pistol. The finishes actually grew on me during the video. I really like the new Holosun for that pistol and the way it integrates. Thanks for showing.
I've always loved how thorough your table tops are. You always go into such great detail and show some of the best looks of each gun you review. Thank you for that.
Fantastic gun. I added a captured stainless guide rod from ZR Tactical It helps make this fantastic gun less snappy by reducing recoil for improved follow up shots.
The machining on the PDP-F slide is different IMHO because the PDP-F is made in the US and the PDP is made in Germany, ergo they were made on different machinery/CNC programs. Lack of markings on the PDP-F is a dead giveaway, German law requires that the barrel, slide, and frame be marked with the serial number, the US requires that only the frame be serialized. In addition to that US law requires that all imported goods be marked with the country of origin. The PDP says made in Germany the F has no such marking.
I am not into what I would call a patch-work gun - but this works in an interesting way. The weirdo brushed, aged bronze-ish slide and the O.D. green frame with black accent - cool and innovative combo!
I have to say, I actually kind of like that. I'm a huge fan of the 2 tone FDE & this is pretty close to that. I already own 3 or 4 handguns in FDE & a few rifles as well. I think I just got tired of solid black guns & switched to FDE just like I got tired of ARs & switched to Bullpups. That's a really nice looking Walther.
Not only did I really like the PDPF, but this gun looks a heck of a lot better in person than you can see on camera. Thank you so much for stopping by.
Love the gun have similar mods. That whole lower 1/3 is not factory. Base pads are ZR. Magwell is LOK grips and the backstrap is also LOK meaning its the smallest option just heavier. I personally prefer the M backstrap helps with girth in hand and changes grip angle. The larger backstrap (M) lets me get a higher grip on the firearm. I hope LOK or ZR make a heavyweight Medium backstrap as the one they make (on this F) is just too slim. Guide rod looked to be brass like the basepads ;)
The comfortable Walther, CZ, H&K grips are a result of 62 degrees. Glocks grip angle is 66 degrees. If I were to give up all of my collection my Walther full Size 5" and Compact 4" would remain. And some of my metal CZ's.... and my Glock H17L and G19X 😂
When you mentioned the flinch on the last shot when it was empty, it looked like a malfunction with the first mag. Last shot didnt lock the slide back. Were you riding the slide stop with your right thumb causing that to happen?
If that’s what happened, it’s very possible that I was riding the slide stop. I tend to do that with Walter and with HKs. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Thats not the full size you keep comparing it to. No slide lock back on last round. Would of been nice to see another mag run through it to see if it did it again. You said the the trigger is getting better with age. That trigger has already been (shot in). Could of givin us a trigger pull weight compared to the PRO SD which is suppose to have one of there best triggers.
The slide finish got some 40K or Borderlands vibe. I wonder why Walther does those light color schemes. The front darkens quickly. Having the trigger too far back is messing with me on Berettas and some CZs. That ledge under the mag release sadly gets in the way. Holosun gets it that the rds should fit to the slide. Missed opportunity to share the slide's finish. What's your target distance?
@@awakenosirisI picked the 4 because it is better to carry as I have a beer belly. Anything shorter doesn't sit well and tends to flip around my belt (keel effect). I don't think you'll see performance differences at self defense ranges. I also intend to use a light and the 4 gives me more rail space.
Far different trigger on the F series compared to the bigger brothers. I bought an F series and I hate it just because the trigger is so bad. My full size German made PDP's have great triggers. Put a study on that F series trigger before you purchase one.
The PDP F is by far the best pistol that Walther is putting out!!
I totally agree! PDP F and the CZ P-10C seems like the best pistols out there for under $1000
No way bro. PDP Pro Sd compact is the best overall out of all the pdp’s hands down
I'm subbed to several firearms channels..Yours has definitely become one of my favorite channels.. keep up the great work 👍

does it still 9:31 retain the same " lighter racking" feature? spring rate?
Thanks for video. Great looks at the pistol and detailed review.!!

Beautiful gun
I'd like to have a PDP-F to compare to my standard one and I think my wife, who is very small statured, would like it. Thanks for the video MD.

Nice detailed review. I've shot the PDP F but this one is really sharp looking. Walther triggers are great.

Absolutely

I got a Tenicor holster for a pdp f 4 and I forgot I was wearing just now 😂.
Very comfortable, despite being wider than an MP2.0 and being full size.

Did the 17 pound spring make it harder to rack the slide then the OEM spring?
Not really
Which recoil spring assembly is this? My apologies if you’ve discussed this already. I’m new to your channel.
No worries. It is the metal guide rod and 13 pound spring from ZR Tactical Solutions. Thank you very much for stopping by.
@@MDpolo Did it change the recoil impulse at all? Any malfunctions with it?

Trigger reset looks "good". But that me shooting sigs/glocks/1911 with more tactical/stronger/quicker/shorter reset which I prefer.
The trigger reset on this is much shorter/better than any factory sig or Glock out there. 1911’s, not so much.
Does the stailess/17 lb combo make/change racking effort?
Smoother and softer. 100% reliable.
All about the the small hand guy 😂

What brand/model sights are installed?
Ameriglo. Don’t remember the model.
Walther's site states the F is for Female. Nice pistol for women. I have the men's version compact 4" barrel
At 1.34 inches thick, the "F" should stand for 'Fatty'😂
@@charlesbeall2589 haha
F for fighter. It is thick... I was impressed even compared with my mp 5", despite the mag being thinner. No issues carrying it.
