- Hi everyone!
I made this video showing you how I built my 1x10” speaker cabinet for my practice little guitar amp from Joyo BlueJay.
I came up with the project from scratch and it was my first DIY pine wood cabinet made with basic tools and super simple.
The speaker I’ve used was a Jensen P10R-FEN made from alnico and the result was amazing.
The badge, made in Easythreed 3d printer was just a test version but it turned out ok.

Hi what did u use to tint the pine?
I just used this stain from Leroy Merlin in Portugal:

Friend, why did you use the foam inside the cabinet?
Nice question Raul, since I'm living in a flat, it helped to sound more more sharpie and focused, less opened sound! I have other cabinets where I'm looking for the opposite behaviour. It's up to you actually!
@@luciano-improvloops5226 I've never seen someone put foam inside a guitar cabinet. I'll try it one day.
@@raulgrangeiro most PA professor speakers have foam or pink insulation inside it helps it direct the sound outward and blocks a hollow sound echo from the cabinet

Could a 1/2 watt diy amp ( omade with lm386 ic) suffice to drive a 1 x 10 " speaker?
Well I don't know that amp, but if it were up to me, I would say that it's doable.

I do think so but this Jensen speaker is more focused to guitar frequencies so therefore I recommend you of trying a different speaker instead.
Regardless, it might be a wonderful project for a stereo amp.

What kind of paint did you use, please?
I used water based blue stain, not paint!!
