Thank you, Floyd, we love the bell tones of this Mele 8-string uke. It's built in Hawaii by Mele of a fancy mahogany and a koa wood top, all solid. Its 19" scale length makes it a baritone, but Mele advertises it to be used also as an "extended tenor uke." We have compromised, using tenor strings (custom made by Ken Middleton in England) and B-flat tuning which means we put a capo on the 2nd fret for this great old hymn to do it in C which seems best for Shannon's incredible voice. Again, thanx.

Floyd, I forgot to reference your query about cost of the Mele, which was maybe halfway between $900 and $1,000, as I recall, including a hard case. It was the most I had ever paid outright for any ukulele, although I have some that I bought years ago which are now valued higher than the cost of that Mele. Shannon thinks it has a distinctive sound, which reminds her a bit of the dulcimer. I don't quite get that myself, but I do love the sound and the feel. It is pretty much my go-to instrument, replacing my vintage Gibson baritone uke in that regard.

Great song. I'm a new uke player and I was wondering Shannon what is the right hand pattern you're using? Thanks, Pastor Mike
