KOLE DISTRICT COUNCIL RESOLVES TO MODEL COCOA FARMING IN NORTHERN

  • Kole district council has passed a resolution to make the district a model for cocoa farming in Northern Uganda.
    Close to 145 farmers in Lango sub region are cultivating the crop that starts yielding after two years, and is harvested twice annually.
    A farmer can earn about 13 million shillings per acre annually.

    While in Uganda, many years ago, we learned in our grade 3 Geography, that Nigeria is well known for growing Cocoa.
    The principal character that was associated with this farming, and that was the subject of our study, is named Adebo.
    We could not even imagine the outlook of Cocoa because the illustrations in those poor-quality textbooks, were insignificant.
    When I see these beautiful images today, it brings the entire cocoa plantations of Nigeria, and other Western African countries, into focus.
    Uganda is blessed with one of the most fertile soils on this planet that can support the lives of many hungry stomachs, endlessly.
    Its citizens would be one of the richest on earth by now, if the country was not cursed by greedy and incompetent leaders.
    However, Museveni and his greedy people, had planned since time immemorial, to invade the land, and take them away from their rightful owners, as is now the case.
    May the merciful and ferocious God, who bestowed this most precious piece of land to Ugandans, punish Museveni, along with his criminals, until they step into their long-awaited graves...
