    OMG!!! Chef John! That was the cooking show I was watching online before this show popped up in my feed. The simplicity of Chef John is so amazing and to the point. I have never felt cooking should be that difficult or pretentious. The reason stopped watching Food Wishes is he added spice to all of his dishes. I know I can omit it, but he was also adding onions to every dish too. I cannot stand onions and I don't believe they need to be in every single meal. So now this is my cooking channel even tho I haven't made anything. . .yet.

    Never tried chicken parm before I tried this yesterday and its a good one, I had some trouble with the breadding not adhering perfectly to the chicken but it worked well enough. was the chicken to wet or did I not cover well enough with egg? I'll work on it.
    A question, is that ordinary "bread crumbs", homemade or panko? I ask because I typically have panko at home and not the regular kind, I dont suppose it makes a giant difference though.
    Loving weekday sauce b tw, its already in my "always have in fridge" list.
    Can't find San Marzano tomatoes in Sweden though, maybe I could buy them online, italy isnt that far away really.. I could just drop by.
    Love the approach to cooking and video style. I'm a fan and slowly turning Italian *gestures wildly with hands*.

    this jumped out at me, so I would just add one correction and that's it ------Chicken Parmigiana is not an Italian dish. It is an international variation made from a old traditional recipe in southern Italy in Sicily. “Parmegiana” meant twice-cooked aubergine or eggplants

  • @hawk4813
    @hawk4813 4 роки тому +1

    People need to make sure they season with salt before coating with flour and then also put salt into the bread crumbs. Multiple layers of seasoning will talk the dish to the next level and it will make sure the seasoning doesn’t escape during the fry. Putting sauce underneath the chicken when baking will make the crust mushy. Also a lot of people fry it until golden brown on high heat, but if you fry on medium heat for 4-5min per side, you’ll guarantee a crispy crust. The pro to this is that you don’t need to bake as long.

    Loving that you show people how to cook for 1. I feel like that is an underrated aspect of the internet cooking scene!

      @@NOTANOTHERCOOKINGSHOW yes, please do more videos for cooking for only one or two people...other cooking shows make too much food. Usually I'm just cooking for myself or maybe me and my boyfriend.

    Thank you so very much for mentioning Chef John. Wish more would show the same kind of class. Love all of your videos with tomato sauce being my favorite. I tell everyone that tastes my sauce I got it from that Not Another Cooking Show guy. Thanks again.
