Keep the avocados submerged in a bowl of water in the fridge and they will last 2 to 3 weeks! I wish I had known this YEARS ago!

@@karend8575 that’s crazy. Never would have thought of that! Thanks!

@@TheDuvallHomestead right?! Who knew. Also…strawberries. When you get them home…DON’T wash them. Put them in a big mason jar and wash as you use them. Will easily last two weeks. Raspberries last about a week. 👍🏻🇺🇸

Make sure you put them in the fridge! Sorry…forgot to mention that.

We too eat all organic and buy local organic grass fed beef….I’d love to see more hauls like this! I’ll be subscribing, great video❤

Remember you don’t need to get everything organic like coconut and organic chicken and beef are still fed grains.. so pasture raised is the way to go - follow Bobby Parrish to see what stuff to get from Costco and other grocery stores.

Organic refers to what type of grain they are fed. Chickens are normally fed grain in the winter if they can’t rationally graze outside for example. So it is important to watch out for the label because a non organic chicken could be fed a grain that contains GMOs or preservatives since it’s non organic. You also have to understand when you see pasture raised.. is that 100% pasture raised? Or access to pasture but also fed grain? Or in the case of beef pasture raised grain finished? All good things to understand.

I love their organic frozen cherries & organic frozen blueberries. We thaw them a little & they are sweet with no added sugar!

What's actually on the dirty dozen list for organics? Love to see some of your meals with thus haul

Fruits and vegetables are the big ones. Because they don’t have skin or shell so anything being sprayed is going directly on the food! 😬

Holy cow! Did you say $600? For 4 people over 2 weeks? That is ridiculous! Food has just gotten so expensive. My mom raised a family 7 on 200 a month. The times have really changed.

I know, it is ridiculous! We’ve tried so many ways to get it down and without eating top ramen every day or something this is the best we can do. We chose to prioritize food and realize while we could do it for cheaper it would cost us our health and we don’t chose that option.

@@TheDuvallHomestead I know the meat is the most expensive part. But have you tried a small garden? It will give you the ability to have all organic, eat seasonal for wider verity, and I've found it is a good workout in my old age. Prices are only going to get worse. Just my 2 cents, but I think everyone should have a few chickens and a small garden. Plus, what kid doesn't like chasing chickens around? Keep up the videos, they are great.

Great budgeting! Our family of four spends on average $1,800 a month on groceries, which includes toiletries.
