  • Unbox my most impulsive purchase with me -- a vintage chanel bag bought in Ginza Tokyo. (Brandoff)
Patreon saw it first !! I actually meant to upload this video later in the week but my next Japan vlog has over 100 clips and I've been working 12 hour shifts all weekend. This video is mostly unedited which is very unlike me but it imported weird into my imovie and was laggy/not letting me cut and edit parts of the video. So sorry for that but this is normally how my videos are before the editing process lol.

I thought my quilts had really deflated too but I've seen old magazine adverts with Chanel bags (80s and 90s) and the quilts were never really puffy like they are now! I had some scratches on my flap but after a few uses of Collonil leather cream, which supposedly Chanel uses and they are completely gone, also the leather is even more buttery soft than it was when I got it.

OMG Thanks !! I will need to find this cream and try it ! :) I also saw older bags in photos and things from the 80's and 90's and the quilts were flatter before, I totally dont mind and love the look of a vintage bag.

    Beautiful ❤️ bag, congratulations!
What is the name of the store in Tokyo?
May i ask how do you verify the authentication? I used to live in Bangkok and they sell incredible knock offs on the streets everywhere...

Thanks! 💕 Brandoff Tokyo is where I got it from, I've purchased from them many times on eBay so I know it's authentic, reviews etc. Japan has a very large industry of consignment shops where authentication is done in store. Usually stores only accept merchandise from Japanese citizens and unauthentic items are illegal.
Also vintage bags are extremely hard to replicate as they are super old they all have character, the pillowyness is virtually gone from the quilting. The hardware is made from a different manufacturer back in the 80's and early 90's so the inner button part is flox vs chanel. All in all if you go for a vintage bag chances are its authentic. It's the newer ones you need to worry about more but in Japan you don't have to worry at all.

@LeilaRosette Thank you so much for the information, Leila! I had no idea about this store, and it is so safe to shop high-end brands in Japan!!
Was this your first trip to Japan? I really want to visit it so badly 😅. My BFF lives in Maui, HI, so I plan to visit her first and fly to Tokyo from there bc it is closer.
What I meant about the authentication verification was that I thought you mentioned in your video something about 6 digit code, or I may be wrong?

@@LoveFluffybums1 omg definitely do a Japan trip, Id recommend it to anyone, even people that don't travel much, it's easy to get around and most people speak English. 😊 It's 9h flight only from where I live so I'm sure from Hawaii it's probably even less.
Yeah so all chanel have a serial number on the interior, newer bags have a medal plate but there is one in the bottom corner of the bag, I did a quick google search to find the date. I guess this one is from 1980's not 1990's but it's in great condition!

@LeilaRosette 9 hrs is not bad at all!! For me, it is 10 hrs from NYC to Maui. Then I think 7 hrs more from there.
I see, so I think since there is a number so it is easy to authenticate also this way...
I want the same classic Chanel so bad but will wait to buy maybe like you the vintage option. It is so beautiful, really!! A friend got me a very good replica from Dubai, it was also expensive but real leather. I had my rooftop leak in my closet, and the bag got mold because we were on a vacation when it happened 🙄😔. So I threw it...
