'Ferngill Republic citizens shocked as small community streets are flooded with "tea leaves" overnight. Local farmer under investigation.' Love this crazy idea and the editing on this is top-notch! haha
Lmao I added that part in at 3am this morning, after I was adding in the links to the screenshot in the description. It looked suspicious and once I saw it... man. It's nice to know that it's not all random, but I wish I had known it when I started this farming process last week.
I've started using tea saplings as fences and am loving it. They work well as fences, don't ever brake, look nice and earn me money too. Win, win, win, win. 😀
that's good to know about deconstructing grass starts, I tried selling tea trees but ended up with a ton of wood, and wild seeds but not enough fiber to make my tea trees.
Wahahaha! My ultimate sneak attack: "learn something." (I imagine it's much like a power blast to the brain, but looks like a bunch of books or whatever.)
A very interesting and curious bug (IMO) about the harvest of saplings outside the farm. I gotta look at the code to see what kind of "logic" is going on here. I know I came across a bug with garden pots + tea saplings + winter on ginger island. It got fixed pretty quick. I once experimented with tea, with saplings packed into a big shed (136). This was with the Artisan Valley mod which has cooking recipes for various types of tea and a machine (glass jar, 1 day) to make Kombucha from tea. There is money in that sequence when choosing the right tea types to make. Speaking of Mods, I wonder if Automate would have been able to harvest your initial packed town of saplings. Automate can harvest saplings in garden pots.
Haha, instantly thought of the same thing and the answer is yes. I was only able to harvest them by hand according to the pattern, but automate collected everything :-)
Oh cool. It took a while for people to notice those things. But now my Secrets are spilling everywhere TnT (at least not all hehe) My silly farms are going to be normal at this rate haha xD
Honeslt such a good way to get the goods to make crystalariums. That and buying treasure hunter tackle from Willy for 750 gold to turn into two gold bars. Very much worth it if you want to expand rapidly.
The video was a blast and the advice was good. Just as I have come to expect from my favourite Stardew Valley youtuber ❤ All your jokes were really bad, but that's my favourite kind of joke, so that's only a plus in my book! The mussels one had my worried for a second I might wake up the friends I'm visiting, since they're already in bed 😂
I have a rule in my house, save all puns for Sunday Punday(because we tend to go a bit overboard if not kept in check.) Don't tell my kids I broke my own rule! They'll never let me live it down.
My favorite UA-camr updates finally.. Emmm.wickedy i want watch you play new game but still harvest moon like doraemon story of season. I really wait for that
I am sorry for your pain (it was painful to watch too), but your experiment did mean that we learned something new, and that is always a good thing. I would guess that the vertical rows 4 spaces apart would go for anything in the Garden Pots? Benefits of it being Tea is that Harvesting is only 1 week a season, so if you did Gem Berries on Ginger Island and made sure that their harvest was the week before or after Tea Week, there is another money making chore done. If you did Coffee or Hops you would be always Harvesting and never have time to Brew stuff.
Oh boy, did I ever WANT to. I have a problem with feeling the need to prove things to myself though. Sure it takes 40 hours longer than if I used mods... but at least I know I can do it legit.
I had an interesting idea for a video but I'm not even sure if it would work. It's more of a question of time that I can't do it myself so here's the idea- How much money would you make if you had one fish pond for every fish in the game. Raw money making and produced money making. It's not a practical way to make money, but it would be cool to know how it would calculate
It's a real game changer. No more struggle for fiber to make all those tree fertilizers. I think apart from putting treasure lures I buy from Willy for 750 to get 2 gold bars, the grass starters are my favorite thing to buy and break down.
@@Wickedy amazing!!! Thanks for the tips!!! Oh!!!! btw if you put anything labelled as "decoration" in front of the craftables, the villagers will phase through them and not destroy them :D
I can’t believe I didn’t know you could get refined quartz from the furnace I’ve always been desperately searching for broken glasses and CDs to put in recycling machines when I needed it 😭😂
I edited out the part where I threw my computer in the trash at my ex's house and set the whole place on fire while playing rage against the machine and crying in the rain. You know, just gotta keep these videos wholesome.
I have one question why do you use fire quartz and not the normal quartz to make refined quartz? Cuz later in the game you are not often in the area where you can find the normal? Sorry can’t perfect English hope you understand but that would interest me xD
Smelting regular quartz gives you 1 refined quartz bar, and smelting a fire quartz gives you 3 refined quartz bars each. I have no other use for the fire quartz and needed a lot of bars, so used my crystalariums to replicate them and then smelted them.
Weird. I've done this method many times on my switch and it works like a charm. It does sell for less with a different profit margin though, so keep that in mind if that's something you've done for your farm or the host set up on the multiplayer farm.
worth it? no. fun? also no. but that's my favorite kind of videos!
The best!
Always happy to fail and curl up in a ball and shower cry for your entertainment! 🤣
@@Wickedy I meant that your videos are the best! I'm a nerd in the south so I don't have any friends that play Stardew lol

nonetheless, this was a breakthrough research- you can't harvest all tiles in the city. good passive income though
For science!
@@Wickedy you blinded me, with Science!
Considering I wanted to do this, thank you for doing the research 🙏🏻
Gus: hi wickedy! Welcome to my saloon.
Wickedy: our saloon.
Hehe don't give me ideas
I dont understand why they only let you harvest in that particular pattern. Weird. Such a shame. You're awesome keep it up
It would have been so nice to know before making this video, but then again, the struggle is part of the fun. Glad you enjoyed my experiment.
@@Wickedy ngl your struggle was also entertain me lol. I wasn't even skip it, the development is gold
That was cool how you figured out the pattern! Really enjoyed this video. Definitely my cup of tea!

Tea plants and lightning rods make the best fences! Useful *and* permanent, what more could one ask for?!
Whoa I never thought of this. Thanks for the idea
I have started going to the cave in the sewer regularly for fiber! It regenerates pretty frequently. Thanks for all the hard work on our behalf! 👍🤗
Honestly some of the most entertaining stardew content I've watched (even if the tea empire had some shortcomings hehe)
just like the British Imperial Empire, they didn't suspect The Spanish Inquisition!
I LOVED this! It has the zaniness of an old DF video, but with your own personal twist. 10/10!!
The clay pattern farming deff changes the dynamic to the tea tree sapling side hustle, ty so much for this video Wickedy!
This reminds me of a DF experiment 🥺❤️❤️ I love the little jokes you squeezed in 🤣 Finding Nemo lolol! ⭐
I got kids so we've watched that movie more times than I can count! Still one of my favorites.
@@Wickedy no kids but tons of nieces and nephews so, same! I love it

Straight outa Lipton!!! 🤣
Hehe hehe love it
Oh so that's why you did all the pathing for the villagers! Soo much effort put in this, really value it 😊👏🏻
You noticed! Yes, this was being planned for a long time.
It may have been a failed experiment, but Pelican Town never looked prettier!! Loved the vid Wickedy, thanks for your hard work and awesome editing!!
That villager pathing page is exactly what I've been looking for! Thank you for making it!
Love this something I never though of wonder how it would work in the desert in vertical rows of course? Thanks for making Stardew Valley interesting.
that's good to know about deconstructing grass starts, I tried selling tea trees but ended up with a ton of wood, and wild seeds but not enough fiber to make my tea trees.
Wow this tea tycoon is amazing, i was just thinking about making the whole pelican town my money making empire, so this could be an option.
Honestly it's not too bad money if you don't have the space on the farm. Everyone loves a little side hustle.
@@Wickedy True, I'm not a total money making maniac, but there was one save that I filled the mountains with crystalarium for backup money.

Are the pickled tea leaves supposed to be similar to fermented tea such as kombucha? I can't imagine eating pickled tea leaves 😆
