I enjoy these types of videos. Thanks for sharing. You asked for feedback, so I’d recommend getting to the fishing a little quicker: date, air temp, water temp, flow rate and jump right in to the fishing. 3:40 of intro could be shorter.
Like finding free gold on the internet. This sort of information takes forever to learn on your own or even pick up in conversation. Thanks Max + team😎 Edit: Love this on the water content. Best on YT (especially Colorado) so far
I assume the "non-game species" comment can be attributed to Kelly Galloup... :-) I'm new to streamer fishing. Question: why would the shady side of the canyon be more preferable to the sunnier side? What's the logic behind that preference?
I find that throughout the year fish prefer to eat streamers with cloud cover, during low-light conditions, and/or from underneath structure. I think that trout prefer to eat streamers in these conditions because it makes them feel hidden from the pray they’re ambushing and safe from any predators that might be waiting for them to make a mistake. Not to say they never eat it in the sun, but in my experience they eat much more consistently in the shade.
Good stuff. A recommendation as a new subscriber is that you explain where you are in a bit more detail. I had to Google "Cheesman Canyon" to find out where you are (I assume in Colorado?). I would present your material like it is being watched world-wide, not to give away secret spots but to provide some background and maybe advertise a bit for your State. Cheers from Maine!
Loved the video Max - thanks for sharing! Definitely would love to see more of these “on the water” videos. ✌🏻🎣
