Thanks for your vlog.I used to walk all around there and hunt in there in the early 1970`s. The hut was in a different place and a very different sort of hut than the gigantic one there now! The flats themselves were heavily grazed by red deer so there was no long grass like there is in your video. Brought back some memories, thank you!
Funny - the campsite you visited around ~26:05 into the video is where I camp when I go to Totara Flats. The tree in my UA-cam profile is near that campsite going towards the river. Haven't been there for a month - good to see others using it.

Didn't see any orange track markers on this track.
I'll rephrase that i didn't see many orange track markers possibly many have been covered over with moss and such.
The trail is well formed in most parts, so easy to follow.
