@cataclysmichael it´s basically a reverse pickup. instead of just converting electromagnetic energy into sound, it converts the sound back into electromagnetic energy. so it basically picks up one part of the string and then feeds the string with it´s own sound.
It's a pitty what UA-cam is doing with your videos, they are awesome covers. Thanks for Bleed by Meshuggah....it kick ass!!! It's a sustainer. It sends magnetic field of its own to continuesly vibrate the string without picking. It's called an Elbow.
