Ah good old 40-60 fps, I remember the time I had the same situation, you can gradually adapt but once you play with 100+ fps you understand how much of a difference it actually makes
Played a couple hundred games with this TD, had only a handful of great games, sold it, and went back to the WT auf PZ IV, I certainly enjoy playing it a lot more.
Question is, how many games do you have to play to have a game like this? I have 687 games with my Grille and only two games have I managed to get 6k dmg. With the AP shell you'll do a lot of tracking than penning, with the heat shell, you'll miss most of your shots because of its bad shell velocity, but what infuriates me the most with this tank is that it has very bad camo value for a TD with no armor. The Mino is heavily armored and has better camo value than the Grille

You could be the best player but if your team doesn't spot effectively you are not going to do much in a Grille since you can't just rush aggressively to the frontline. My highest damage in the game is with the Mino at 9.4k, courtesy of spamming gold rounds like a mofo.
Answer is, one game all the way up to never. Some people win the lotto the first time they play, some 80yo's have been playing weekly and it never happens. Stars have to align, RNG needs to bless you, save a bunch of kittens from a fire that day, etc. But, I feel your pain. I sold mine after 100 or so games. Too many times perfect shots with a laser accurate gun end up with the magical tracks seeming to suck the shell in. I can deal with the frustration of playing with a tank that has derpy gun stats, but not a supposedly high accurate gun that seems to have some hidden soft stats.
@@pazuzu_666 Agreed, the WT auf Pz IV is way better , good gun, good camo, good dpm, and you hardly miss your shots with it, but, apparently the Grille has better dispersion yet your shots magically search for the tracks lol. You need both your team and the enemy team to be complete muppets for you to have a great game( which hardly occurs since your team ends up being the Muppets most of the time) and its not that easy with a tank that has no armor, but say you are in a Chieftain, get -2 mm and the enemy team top tier heavy is a T-57 or Amx 50B get a map with good hull down positions, you just know you are going seal clubbing 😂.

I don't mean this in a rude way, but if you only ever managed to get over 6k damage twice in a large number of battles, then the main "problem" is your own gameplay. Grille may not be the best TD, but it can absolutely pull its weight
15:00 sums up WG's dedrateR HE rework perfectly. A gun with 750 alpha damage doing 0 dmg to an enemy tank with 26 hp. At this point it's literally not worth shooting HE at all to finish low hp enemies. The risk that you'll deal 0 dmg and potentially throw the game cause of that is way too high.
I have a lot of battles in Grille... But I assure you the gun reminds me sometimes of the gun of STB1. It hits but 1. no pen. 2. ricochet or whatsoever, in some battles I could easy go with 6-8K damage home, but no - this gun drives me nuts... Id prefer my IS7 gun on my grille and I would pen more often and have definitely more damage lol Last game again - Loaded HEAT - 2 Hits in the back of Conq TIER X - guess what? No pen lol 1 Hit to the side of MVYIyou name it - no pen. This is sometimes really ridiculous.
Ive not played the grille, but perhaps the idea of it being the most accurate tank makes it feel a lot more frustrating when missing a shot. Just an idea.
The problem is it misses TOO MANY shots because the hidden stats are utter garbage. Whenever you remain still and don't move an inch and aim at a stationary target sure, it's very accurate, but the moment you move a little bit the reticle becomes a huge moon. It has like 0.40 dispersion while moving, which is almost KV-2 level but the game doesn't tell you that, you have to look for it yourself in tanksgg.
Also keep in mind first replay's ping is going from 35 to about 80 on occasion and also that he's mainly using regular AP and not HEAT on top of really low FPS and snapshots
Grille 15 is good 1 out of 10 games, if you hit the target it will not pen but normally it will not hit at distance and now I always get city maps with any TD on NA.
i got my dmg record in grille. not that rare, but the map was Himmelsdorf. I got the map was a bit mad and went a bit more yolo. Everything just worked out.
WOOOOW, in this whole video which i loved it, i noticed one very interesting thing for me. In the second game when our guy went for defending he was going in the first position, on that rocks and ammoracked that guy... ffs WG, i went literally on the same possition, but the same possition and the same scenario and my grille slipped down... OMG, same possition same grille, but I had a horrible session all the day.
I love my borsig with the 128. It's a very light touch in how aggressive you can be but I like that aspect. The tier 9 WT was meh, IME, I'm looking forward to the Grille.

Maybe there will be 2 games like this in 100 games. What is Grille 15? 1- With the smallest mouse movement, you have a circle in which you can fit worlds. 2- Most of the time you do less than 750 damage on average. 3- You have a critical hit that doesn't do much damage. 4- Keep this tree at Level 9! 5- Grille 15 is RNG's stepchild. Grille 15 is just as bad as my English.
It was playing at 50 fps but imagine playing at 30-20 fps when you have 5-6 fps during 2 bush tricks it's unbelievable but I bought my PS 12 years ago so... the grill works, the main thing is the player, I have a lot of fun playing with Grile regardless❤
This is the first tier X vehicle I bought about 2 years ago. I really enjoyed the grind but lately the gun of the Grille has let me down. Im using improved aiming on the first slot. I'm thinking about selling it and buying the tier 8 or 9. Which would you recommend?
is the grille worth it? i am on the WT pz4, i think it is reasonably good but the mobility is still bad. grille has better mobility but the gun only has a bit more pen and lower DPM i believe...also the camo seems to be quite a bit worse
Tbf i dont really have issues with my Grille.. same thing with skorpion G. People expect it to hit a lot but you often play from distance and with the lower pen the shots are often small targets you must hit. If you rush your shots the grille isnt accurate but full aimed i really dont think it feels less accurate then strv103B.
I would like to see how you play on machines that are not very in the game now, like type 5 heavy, 3 of your fights, without a selection of the best, despite the result, you can call me a sadist, but it would be interesting xD
Funfact: Grille have the 3rd worst base camo on tier X TD. Object 268 V4 have almost double the camo of the grille. The combination of both troll gun and shit camo is what make this TD suck ass for most people

Grille is a pos, every bad tank has a game or two out of 100 where it shines. If you want real sniper experience then stay on tier 9 with small pp, waffle blows grille out of the water.
Try to unnerf it's mobility with a turbo an all mobility stuff you can. That's when the grill was the most fun, when you can redeploy all over the map.
@@znk0r I believe mobility is not the main problem here. Role of tds in this game is to deal damage, and to do that you have to hit target. On paper Grille is extremely accurate, in real life we all know how it looks like...
I met E100 platoon of these kind of players like the pantera was. I played with Ho-ri 3 and had 4.5 average damage per game. E100s pushed me into the front like never before. I finished with 0, I was so pissed about these guys... I love this game, but this nearly made me to uninstall it.
0:57 please don't feature replays with people who use illegal mods like an autoaim weakspots mod as used in the timestamp. He probably also uses tundra as well as indicated by how he preaims perfectly at positions otherwise covered with a lot of trees. Even better example at 2:03.
nothing suspicious for me in the video just the casual replay bug that you cant see the outlines sometimes + aim is way to shaky for autoaim to weakspots heck the shots were all easy as pie
Please tell how you know he autoaimed at a weakspot, i can only see autoaim for a short time which could easily be just a habit and the "easy autoaim" mod is also included in the promod, therefore not illegal.
i was literally thinking the same thing. Can't enjoy this replay. There's a lot of spots, where the aim circle doesn't behave normally instead jumps from one spot to another, when you see his mouse moving in the opposite direction.

My Grille has the accuracy of arty, and it will pen about once in every five shots when it does hit what I am aiming at. With the Grille you need luck or a good account. Some people's accounts are just better than others and they get consistently better RNG and consistently better match making. WoT sucks.
Grille is the prime example of how accuracy means NOTHING in the game and the spread of shots within the aiming circle is rigged as f*ck... People get 2 games like this out of 100 with this piece of sh*t. Tried Grille a couple of times, simply gave up, the Tier 9 WT is far-far better.

I just recently got it and was getting very frustrated with it. This video gave me motivation to give it a try again.
40-60fps is prety good...times, when i play with 15-30fps, uh boy never ever more.(and i was TD main from start).

I'm was that guy, thanks for the compliment. You need to angle your tank so it can stick to the terrain. If you're angling wrong, you'll slip.

i find it works well if you dont fire gold
40 to 50 fps. I would be happy with that. My fps averages in the high 60's, low 70's.
to reporting pushers - you need to report it as physics abusement otherwise WG will not ban ousher
