Fave paranoid thriller would be The Parallax View. A lot of Hitchcock films fit the bill. Also Seconds (1966) is one of the creepiest paranoia films I've ever seen.
I discovered Preminger’s “Bunny Lake is missing” a few years ago, I was impressed - does it qualify as a “paranoid thriller” ? 🤔 Otherwise, de Palma’s “Blow Out” and Argento’s “Profondo Rosso” are rather unforgettable
Your reviews are always entertaining and instructive…Dyschronometria just trips off the tongue. Gazer sounds neo-noirish suffused with intrigue and unease, needless to say it’s on my ever-expanding list.
The Parallax View is a great example of the paranoia around the time of Nixon, reflecting dirty-tricks & the American loss of hope post-double Kennedy deaths & the what-might-have-been? Klute is better but Parallax View said more on the state of things, and is prescient on contemporary life. The poor consumer facing a looming silent corporation. The genre of horror is only next door...
One of my favourite paranoid thrillers is, “Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead”I just re-watched it recently.
Jeff Nichols’ Take Shelter comes to mind. I love that film, except for the ending.

Seconds, Peter! Frankenheimer's crowning achievement.
Good call
