This target banner is old obsolete in Pakistan . we are useing RC drones for AAC gun firing practice.
Farrukh Ismail we have them here also. But, those are used for SAM acquisitions. Very soon we will be getting actual RC banners.

Smooth landing is important may be the weather lot of wind
Maninder Singh this was quite smooth and F-7s land so fast in 180-200 knots that it is extremely hard to do a ‘butter’ landing, as they are Delta-winged jets and cannot land slower in any cost due to the wing configuration.

Abdullah Khan Entertainment the banner is used as the main targeting object for fighters during live Air-Air Firing Exercise and was used in this year’s 15th-30th September’s firing exercise event. The role of the F-7BGI pilot with the banner fly the aircraft just like a real fighter jet in war situations and try to evade the missiles as much as possible, those who can shot it accurately, they will get their award. :)

Which generation F7s r?
Fun World Yasir F-7s are 4th Generation fighters. This one is the F-7BGI, with its markings like Squadron Insignia and Serial Number removed to stay anonymous. This is the most upgraded version of the whole F-7 family, but in some cases, the MiG-21 Bisons of Indian Air Force of which these F-7s are based on is slightly better in Avionics.

Damnnn they seriously need to work on their landings
Debasish Mahanty bro, there is nothing you could do on a F-7 that lands so fast in about 180 knots to 200 knots. MiG-29s can do ‘butter’ as they land slower in 140-160 knots. Also, it doesn’t matter as a fighter jet you don’t have to ‘butter’ the runway at all times. And this was a good landing nonetheless, not the smoothest, but not bad either. :)

Buddy I heard it’s very difficult to land a MiG 21 than any other fighter airplane or for that matter any airplane. Hey I dunno you might be a MiG pilot but I think at least it didn’t do a balked landing... so seems pretty descent for that high speed approach I guess.
Falcon wings these are f7 fighter jets and just search for pakistan airforce lnding f7 on highways they land same faighter jets on roads not on runways and that is called landing mirage 5 and 3 are so difficult to land because of their speed
Falcon wings since these F-7a have a ‘Delta-winged’ configuration just like the MiG-21, it is extremely hard to do a soft landing in such high approach speeds, i see F-7s landing always from my home and they always land extremely extremely fast, sometimes they land soft too. BTW, these are fighters made for hard landings. :)

Serfraz Bugtti let’s see, you try and land that thing, i’ve seen how difficult it is to land ‘Delta-winged’ fighters compared to traditional-straight winged aircrafts like almost all other fighters. You don’t have much time to do small corrections because they land extremely fast and high above glide-slope, which equals more drag, thus it is extremely easy to slam the F-7 into the ground due to its wing-configuration and underpowered WS-7 engines. :)

The landing was so terrible .. Unprofessional pilot a
Obsolete 2nd/3rd gen planes of little use in modern air combat. In real terms lets look at this and the aircraft of Bangladesh's neighbours India and Myanmar both operating 4gen jets which these 1950's era f7s just cannot compete with. For a country like Bangladesh with a developing economy they should upgrade to modern 4th gen and 4gen plus jets, JF-17 Block 2 or Block 3 would bring Bangladesh Airforce into this century give them a 4th gen aircraft which has already drawn blood with bvr kills of SU30MKI and MIG21, another proof these old f7 / mig21 cannot compete with modern 4th gen fighter jet and related capabilities and technology.

saleem hanif the design could be very old, but the airframes are new, they are only 6 years old. Just like the F-16, which in itself, the airframe is more than 30 years old, but still, new factory-fresh F-16s are still made and are as capable as a MiG-35, which still isn’t completely released into service yet. :)
