- Three weeks ago today, Norht Carolina lost to Alabama in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. Since then, we haven’t heard and public news from either RJ Davis or Harrison Ingram. Having already discussed Ingram’s processing, Isaac Schade and Coach Rob turn their attention to RJ Davis and how he might be processing this decision.
It’s gametime: Build. That. Roster. Isaac & Coach Rob construct a hypothetical roster for next season combining the six current returners, three incoming freshmen, Cade Tyson, and Coach picking between Jonas Aidoo, Cliff Omoruyi, and Danny Wolf. That is a great lineup coach! Jalen Washington is certainly a 4 and Ingram a 3. I don’t get why so many want to put Washington at the 5.

Ingram's skills are better suited to a 4. He rebounds the ball very well and spots up, but has average quickness and suspect ballhandling.

Davis wants more money
We won’t know the full rooster until fall semester. Remember James O committed last August.
The confluence of unrestricted portal transfers & NIL has removed any doubt that the "amateur model" of college sports is distant memory. A lower court has even that athletes are employees. Labor laws cut both ways. Employers also have rights. If a college athlete is an employee, why not have require him or her to sign a covenant not to compete? This is an accepted practice with other valued employees. Granted the knowledge that this might be a requirement is not the greatest recruiting inducement, but recognizing athletes as employees opens up a can of worms that includes workers compensation, racial discrimination, wrongful termination & wage/hour considerations.
RJ is the ACC POY.... Either the NBA wants him, or they don't. Not hearing from RJ tells me he's coming back. The NBA is probably not going to happen for RJ. 😢
I think Ingram is gone, rj is playing this multiple ways , he would go to the draft if they give him the ok, next he will come back to nc if the nil deal is good, if the nil deal is not good he is going to the portol, I think that why he want announce he's coming back to nc because it's another option.
