Way to go Matt, good going on the tire. I love that hydraulic lift on your truck.

Good idea on feeding in piles. You know the mind set of a cow, roll out a nice carpet of hay and what do they do.

I like to feed the calves with the cows too for a couple weeks before weaning with the stuff they will be weaned onto. Reduces the stress and their gut bacteria is changed over to the new feed. Reason I like buying feeder calves after some colder weather, they’ve generally seen some feed by then that isn’t grass and momma’s milk. Seems like they get after growing faster with less sickness.

Have you ever considered a bale processor? I have a similar wagon and a highline bale processor with fine cut. Can turn the fine cut off and bed or turn it on and grind a pile like an 8” hay grinder screen. Gets you by til hay grinder gets there or if your not feeding a lot of critters can just use the processor instead of having haygrinder come

Yeah, that’s what we do! It’s way cheaper and we can control when we grind it so it stays fresher

Sorry to hear about Millie. She'll do fine as a tripod. I didn't see, do you cut and remove the twine on the bails you put in the mixer? Or maybe it can handle it without it getting all wrapped up.

We have a neighbor dog that 3 legged and he outdoes a lot of the 4 legged dogs. Millie will do fine. ❤ Good luck in Vegas! 😂

The best deer dog (Chester) that we ever had was a tripod.

On the trailer jack- why dont you weld the correct socket to the trailer gear box , then you just need to put the drill into the end of the socket every time , instead of going looking for a socket every time.

I get a guy to come grind feed bales here and load with a tractor but you need more room to maneuver around...we also generally grind 150 bales at a time and it goes threw a 3×4 screen

I thought a scavenger like you would have saved the spindles, hubs, and tongue off the creep feeder.

Just to remind you, because I am sure you know this , but where you plug got pulled out enough to stop the heat working in the garage. There is a clamp that you screw into the cover plate, where it now holds the plate on, and that will hold your plug in place. Problem solved for the future with that little cheap item.

Silk, they keep you warm. A lot of ranchers wear them, mostly in western states. They even make long johns out of silk. The colorful design is just a personal choice, some are solid colors
