A huge thank you to all our loyal viewers and subscribers who have helped us achieve two milestones in the last week as we passed 100,000 subscribers and 6 million views. We could never have imagined those numbers when we sat out on this venture a couple of years ago.
Iain, could you please clarify: this late injection engine is 5.2 from Countach Annivarsary or 5.7 from early Diablo? Info on the Internet differs from source to source.
It's great to see someone even younger than me being trained in the fine art of true car mechanics! As for your channel's success, it's the pure quality you offer. Your videos are a joy to every petrolhead: thank you.
Great to see your young ‘sorcerer’s apprentice’ being inducted into the tuner’s art…. The reason your channel is being so successful is not only your extensive knowledge but how you deliver it to your viewers, you treat us as adults as does Harry Metcalf (Harry’s Garage) and long may both your success continue 👍
I was looking for word to explain on how their delivery to viewer is, and you're correct. I found that James on JayEmm on Cars has similar delivery. I also think that Hagerty guy like Magnus Walker and the guy who talks about barn finds also has similar delivery. Does anyone has recommendation for other channel?
...and there's (literally) a 'New Boy In Town' - the channal is called "Twin-Cam", going through the joys and horrors of primarily British cars from the 60ies and on. Young guy with passion, insight, and a 'Richard Attenborough'sk' delevery - GREAT ua-cam.com/users/TwinCamvideos
“21:33” Mr Tyrrell: “I do have one or two customers with Countaches who do drive their cars very fast. But the less said about that the better.” Mr Metcalf: “Yes, I should think so, too.” Another great video Iain and absolutely brilliant to see you passing on your wealth of knowledge to Alex.
Can you imagine having Mr Tyrrell peering over your shoulder as you attempt to listen to the throttle tones...on camera?! Ha ha! That lad must've flipped his boxers over after the camera shut off.
Probably very demanding. But with the cars and owners he deals with, there's no "good enough" jobs being done in there. None, nada, niet. You do the job properly or you walk. No second chance, I'm sure.
@@marcryvon Agreed. Working for someone of his stature and reputation must be nerve-wracking. One mistake could see a priceless bit of history irrevocably damaged. High pressure indeed.
One of my favorite Lamborghinis, but it looks so ..."off", with the narrow wheels & tires vs. the standard Scorpions and the wheels they came mounted on. I'm sure it makes tire replacement much easier, and a LOT cheaper though. I hear reproductions of the Scorpions can run a couple thousand dollars per tire! Congrats on your channel's success; well deserved!
I saw one of these about 30+yrs ago at the entrance to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Honolulu. I was about 15yrs old at the time as was mesmerized by all things automotive. I remember being in awe of its sheer size, scale and most importantly it's presence. It had an aura all it's own.
I lived close to where the Norwegian importer of Lamborghini was located in Oslo in the mid 80's. It was right behind the Frogner Park (equivalent to Hyde Park/Kensington Garden in London) and the site was/is actually an old farm. At one point, they had parked three brand new LM002s on the footbridge up to the barn. It was truly an impressive sight :)
Ditto - but in a gated in driveway / carpark outside a VERY nice home in Russian Hill (San Francisco). It was red and I've been daydreaming while checking classified ads since
Being an apprentice like this is lost on a bunch of youth nowadays here in Canada. It's even lost on the gov't clowns thinking everybody needs to go to university. They all have their place, and this type of skilled labour is always going to be in demand. Love the videos Iain!
Iain, two points the first is thank you for the videos they’ve been really interesting and varied both my son and I enjoy them all. The second point is it’s good to see Alex learning the trade as a young person learning to work with classic cars must be a bonus and I hope we can see him progress through his training for which he’s lucky to have someone with your skills to mentor him.
Great to see Iain passing on the dark arts to the new generation. We need more youngsters with these skills to keep our old chariots alive. Most mechanic shops only teach electronic diagnosis these days 😭
What a `Life` opportunity for Iain`s apprentice Alex. I would have given ANYTHING to have that kind of opportunity and start in life. Enjoy and learn from the MASTER. Every day going into work would be a joy !!!! Stay safe ALL
Yes, a "brilliant idea" as Monsieur Iain would say. To make sure there is a continuation of all his tremendous experience and knowledge. This kid has a bright future !
I remember reading awhile a go about a Lamborghini owner who having paid hundreds of pounds for a clutch plate ordered from the Lamborghini factory. Opened his Lamborghini branded box to find it was made by Ford and could have been bought from his local parts shop for under a hundred pounds!
Much the same as you could bolt a Ford 2.8 cologne lump and box straight into any Volvo 740 .Even the prop was interchangeable. The badge on the front can mean many parts of many companies use any body elses stuff to make a car.Ford had a hand in alot of cars badged by others.
Wonderful! So interesting! Love the back story. Love this channel. Well done for passing on your knowledge and training up another generation. Thank you Iain! ❤️
Thank you for sharing your workshop with us, and the cars you work on. Your interview with Dallara not only had insight from the man himself, we also got to see him happily drive a Miura after decades. Here's to upward and onward

Just a brilliant channel , here’s to the next figure milestone, Sunday evening entertainment at its best , and you and Harry need to do some more content together soon !!!!!
As with Mr Metcalfe, I like the “grown up” delivery of the videos. And I come away from watching with a definite sense of having been educated. Which, like the rest of your viewers I imagine, rather appreciate. Congratulations on your milestone of followers. Thoroughly deserved.
This was the first Lamborghini I ever saw in person, and in Nashville,TN of all places too. I was with my father and we drove past a fancy hotel, I noticed it, and said go back so we can look at the Lamborghini. He said there wasn't a Lamborghini there because he was thinking of the Countach that I had on my wall. We went back , and I showed him the "Rambo Lambo" to which he was very surprised that such a thing existed,Haha. I read A LOT about cars back then ,and still do now too ,of course.

Beautiful, black with a balcony on the back, allways loved these since the first one I had anything to do with in 1986 I think. Youve had two of my top ten cars on the last two shows, nice one Ian. The Lagonda was stunning.
I became aware of the LM002 from a 60 Minutes interview of Tina Turner, many years ago. She had a red one and took Mike (I think) for a nice spin. Been fascinated by the LM ever since.
I love this channel even though I’m not a big classic car fan. Great videos were the most interesting information is presented. Keep it comming please!!!!!
A nice Sunday evening of UA-cam viewing. First Harry with his completed Rolls Royce, and a lovely drive into London. And then Ian’s video on the Lambo. And so nice to see you passing on the trade to another generation!
Late 90s my mom so very nearly bought one of these. Test drove it multiple times. Such a cool car. It was the actual LM002 that featured the famous picture of it towing a Countach. In the end she didn't take it, purely because the clutch was too heavy for her. Driving in constant stop/start traffic didn't make sense with that Clutch.

Absolutely fascinating video - I recall this car very well and it is close to my heart because in the late 1980s I experienced some horrendous medical problems over a 2 year period including several months in skull traction….I read quite a few car mags at the time with one including an in-depth feature of the LM002 - I thought to myself I must fight and fight to get better and rejoin that wonderful world, beyond my hospital bed, that is able to create such gloriously daft but desirable trinkets as a V12, petrol fuelled, 3 tonne, dune buggy….it was an inspiration and proof that life was worth living and fun!
