Hey if you learned from this video, make sure to share it to others so they can learn as well - you'll also be helping my channel out, so I would appreciate it! :)
Lets say for the last step to phrase it easier i'd say you have to assume where is the most logical place the enemies are going to rotate. Like 30 secs before the turtle enemies are gonna gank gold lane and although you dont see them you assume they are going because that seems to be the most logical play to make. I always try to predict what would be the most logical play the enemy can make and prepare to try, intercept and counter it.
If my tip only was about predicting where they’re rotating then yes, your phrasing is easier to understand. Perhaps I didn’t make it clear enough that it’s also about where the enemies could be located at, meaning they could be camping in specific bushes, and not necessarily where they’re rotating. For example, gold laner in the early game usually won’t rotate, so to get better at assuming/predicting their position you have to (as you said) think the most logical they can make. An example is “an enemy gold laner might be camping in the bushes, because they aren’t seen on the map, however the minion waves are there and they won’t get the gold unless they’re close to the minions” ok but in that example you can actually find out by checking the amount of gold the enemy marksman has and whether it increases each time a minion dies or not decides if they’re camping (when not seen). And yes, 30 secs before the turtle the enemies could be ganking gold lane, but not always as you don’t have to always rotate to gank, but instead can rotate to cut the enemy’s rotation where you camp. If you for example look at your gold laner’s position, you can tell if the enemy would wanna rotate to gank gold lane or not (depending on whether ally gold lane is playing safe or too far away from own turret - since it’s too risky if someone is playing too safe under the turret).
@@Zerhiral yeah, i meant not only where they rotate but where would they get the most tactical advantage. HOWEVER, i never thought about checking the enemy mm's gold! Thats huge actually! And yes, here in glory your mm is always gonna overextend so enemies always gonna gank it :/ Glory isnt what it used to be, a place with good teammates.
@@generalknez3942 Ah I see.. and yeah it’s pretty huge hhh, and can be used for on exp lane too. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate your comments😎
Another awareness tip: Assume that the enemy will gank you if the turtle is near your lane Midlaner tend to rotate to a losing lane to push it further Don't push too hard when the enemy disappears from the map and your midlane outer turret is destroyed (mid lane outer turret is very very important) Try tricking the enemy by going on a direction that you will not do. Ex: After clearing mid minion wave and you want to gank top lane, pretend that you will go to the bottom side direction but if you think you disappeared in the enemy map then proceed with your plan
when I play mage/roam most of the time I pretend to go opposite side before clearing the lane if they check the map they think I'll go to the opposite side but they will be surprised later😀
Thank you for your videos. It's short you go straight to the point and really easy to understand not like the other tuto that takes 10-15minutes to explain their method. Keep it up my friend
Great tips bro, those are a fundamental part of every game that mostly missed by majority of players. Especially squishy role(mm/mage). As a roam player myself, even after you notified them on map(of course with adequate roam on their lane), it was so frustrating when they keep dying while there's a obvious threat on a specific place during specific times.
I wanna talk about the number 3 tips. it is depend because before they disappear and they going left, doesn't mean they actually going left... That's mean you can trick your enemies by using map. Thanks to you that number 4 tips saved my life alot
Thanks for the guide, I'm from lower ranks and don't play as often, but when I play I want to give my teammates my best play so they won't have to carry me as much. I only use the map before I do something or after an alert, I need to learn checking them at least a glimpse every couple seconds to know what happened or prevent ganks. I started as a roamer, but change my role to exp to be able to not join meaningless fights and focus on turrets, mitigating mistakes risk from ours (when winning) and comebacks from the enemies. I haven't played roam anymore, not because I want to be a killing machine, but because it's scary not knowing the route to rotate, and what's best to do, it's even harder to be aggressive roamer becs I'm the safe play type of a player.
No problem bro. Your map awareness will improve by itself as you continue playing the game. This video was to help show the importance and which mindset you should have. If you ever consider playing roam again, I’ve got a series for roamers that could help you out :)
@@Zerhiral I'm totally excited to learn, I'm still not used to this map (some gap years between the time I played roam and changed to exp). Which videos should I start with?
@@rianwijaya4968 You could start with the ganking guide and others that aren’t about heroes (If you want to learn about roamers) In terms of exp, sadly I’ve only gotten the latest video. I’m planning on continuing making vids for every role
As a main tank with over 10k roam matches I don't think this video is that good. All these tips are nice, but this pretty much applies to all roles. I don't think I am better than you or anything but this might only be good for very beginners. I would like to share some tips that might help: 1. Map awareness, yes, this is the most important of tips especially for the roamer since you are trying to cover whole map. Watch the map more than you think is enough, if you are tank, you need to pay attention to map even in team fights because there might be a marksmen behind all of you waiting for perfect entrance. 2. Know your role. If you play roam role, you need to understand basic rotations (If you are low rank just stick to your marksmen or best player). If turtle is about to spawn in 15 seconds, you should slowly gank the lane on that side or position your self in time considering that enemies will go there shortly. 3. Provide vision. This one is very important, if you are playing tank, your goal is to follow enemy jungler around map as much as possible but to try remaining safe. That way they are not able to gank properly as your teammates have vision. Also it's easier to gank them knowing enemy position. You need to check bushes, that also provides vision and even if you die it will take 2-3 and sometimes 4 ults, so your teammates can easily crush them afterwards. 4. Bully enemy. Make your enemy change their paths and plans because they are afraid you might stun them, even if you don't have backup, they don't know that and won't easily go for tank. That way you can waste that time. 5. If turtle is about to spawn and you know your enemy is taking buff, go attack their buff, make them use retribution so your jungler can secure the turtle. These are just few of the basics to be honest, roam role requires a lot of experience to be good, you need to know hero skills, need to know draft, like who counters who, need to micro manage skills to know when are your teammates ready to attack as well as knowing when are your enemies least likely to escape. Pay attention to flicker times to know when your enemy doesn't have flicker and also their dash skills. Pay attention to teammate ultimate ready icon to know when your teammates have ultimate to get most out of situation. It's really hard to put it all here but if you have any questions please ask and I'll try to help.
Wow, these are great tips. If I were to make a video out of it, it would be so helpful for them despite I’ve already mentioned fourth and fifth tip in some of my previous videos. I hope you don’t mind me perhaps using 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the future :) During when I was writing my script in a document, I was actually thinking of calling this video “Map Awareness Guide (For Every Role)” as I’m aware that this can imply to every role - hence why I haven’t used the word ‘tank’ or ‘roam’ in the title of this video. I probably should’ve focused on roam only, since my previous videos are about tank guides. But yes, you’re definitely right about this applying to every role, and it’s quite misleading from me, as all of my clips except 1 barely few seconds clip are tank gameplay. I was kinda hoping this video could be the step to expand my niche, and not let my channel only be for roam mains, but other roles as well, as I know things about other roles as well.
