Amazing how is style changed after becoming champion. Before becoming champion Usman had a 20% finish rate. After he became champion his finish rate swelled to 60%. His style is so different now then it was. He no longer relies on pace and pressure and is far more elusive and better and countering on the feet. Amazing how much of a powerful striker Usman has evolved into. In those fights at the Apex with no crowd, when you actually hear the thud of the punches, you can tell he has got some serious hands. And in the Colby fights, when he was hit clean, he barely flinched, on the other hand, the shots he hjt Colby with stopped Covington in his tracks. There was just a gap in power between those two

Idk if Colby stops him considering he has no weapons to do so aside from cardio. He doesn't have the power like burns to stop Khamzat from coming forward, I doubt he can outwrestle Khamzat (probably the other way around honestly) due to the size discrepancy. If Khamzat learned from the burns fight and doesn't chase a k.o I think he beats Colby up. Usman beats Khamzat though because the size is about even, and neither can out wrestle the other most likely. it becomes a stand up battle and Usman has the power to match Khamzat, and he's got the jab that will bounce of Khamzats face all night long because the Burns fight exposed khamzats non existent head movement

Well and truly, Usman is 2 fights from becoming the GOAT... he surpassed GSP's win streak already by 3, He's knocked down more people than GSP and is 3 away from holding that record, he's the only fighter with 100% takedown defence, he's 4 fights from tying GSP's win record, 40 minutes from surpassing GSP's control time... he can do that in 4 fights easy, 90 significant strikes from tying GSP... and he can do that in 4 fights easy. Masvidal was the 2019 fighter of the year. People were saying he was the new star in mma. He was at the peak of his career. Usman shut all that down. And like you said Strickland , Edwards, rda, maia...all quality wins outside of the title fights.
I think Edwards and Khamzat will be Usmans next two opponents. They'll also be coming into those fights on long win streaks and momentum.
