Sean Bean hasn't quite made the rounds on the convention circuit, but at his second appearance ever, at Wizard World Philadelphia, the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones actor recalls his times spent as the two iconic roles of Boromir and Ned Stark.

Boromir is such an incredible character

I always thought Boromir got a bad rap, even when looking at his book character. I think Sean Bean's portrayal and the screenplay elevated the character beyond what the books did, one of the few things the film did substantially better than the books in my opinion.

SeerSmashChannel yeah no Tolkien unfortunately didn’t put too much thought into boromir. He made him flawed and had him sacrifice himself ofc but peter and Sean wanted boromir to be the most human character in lord of the rings. He’s flawed but he’s also a great and honorable man, he wants to do the right thing and protect his home etc. but he’s human and hence imperfect. And that just makes his character great

Laura Cerrone I want to meet Ian Mckellen because he's getting up there in age. Viggo Is a hard one to spot and unless your lucky at premieres, I don't think he'll come to cons and such.
