Great interview. I know this man personally having worked with him my first year. Much love and respect for Lt. He was a Sgt when I knew him back in the day.
Great interview. I worked with the LT. He was a Sgt when I knew him in ad seg CTF in the mid 90’s. Great supervisor. Always sharp clean cut. His High jump boots always spit shined like mirrors. Being a former Marine myself I respected him for looking and being sharp. Lead by example and others will follow. A class act. Everything Lt says I can tell you is true. I walked the double lines too. Those days are gone sad to say. 25+ yrs in the Dept. Hon. Retired. Semper Fi!!!
Proud to call Rudy a friend and mentor. He’s a blessing to the community we live in and inspires many.
I Can listen to this OG all day long!!!!!💯
This was a good interview. We need a sequel.
Rudy was one of my mentors when I promoted. He's definitely OG. I have a ton of respect for him.
That's awesome brother! Good mentors are hard to find!
@@thatprisonguard They are nowadays. I'm glad I retired.
Loved working with Rudy. I was at CTF 1987-2015. Rudy has stories for days!
Awesome interview. Rudy Lopez was my Lieutenant and mentor for a number of years. Solid guy. 👍🏽🙌🏽
That's awesome, Rick! I keep gathering that from everyone, would have been awesome to work for someone like him.
Started in 02 in ctf. Solid ass vato. Hey LT. They don’t make us no more. Gracias.
These are great man. Keep this type of content coming. Ex inmates and COs would be sick!
Thank you, Jimmy! There's a few former inmate interviews with success stories on here!
Man LT you gotta have Rudy on again! He’s a reallllll OG! 83, I wasn’t even a twinkle in parents eyes yet 😂
LMAO, I feel you Jordibub. I was born in August 1984
I really enjoyed the conversation of two generations & “their” prison stories.
I commend you both for a service FEW are mentally equipped for.
Thank you, Kim. We're brining it over here ❤️💯
I worked with LT when he was a Sgt. A class act. Much love and respect for him. Semper Fi.
In 1982 there were only two Prisons in the State of California, San SQ & Folsom! The other facilities were called INSTITUTIONS !
Another great show Lt. Keep them coming!
Thank you, Mark! Will do!
Big time OG, great Bil. Nice channel and interview.
🔥💯💪another gem
What’s up Hector? Órale Homie great interview. I love it when you interview these Veteranos CO’s. Hijo le reminds me of the days when my uncles and cousins would come back home from La Pinta and tell there war stories! Échale ganas Hector y poro pa delante. ✊🏽🫡✊🏽
Rudy is the best !!!❣️❣️❣️🤩🤩 much love always !
That's awesome, Jenny! Really a great guy.
Great great great video gentlemen!!
Thank you for that, Chrysler Technician! 🏆 (you always get the trophy, because you're leading the pack)
Great interview Hector! This one is one of the best ones! They way it was broken down to me was the SGT was like Jesus and you go to him if your weak and can't handle your inmates HAHAHA! The LT was god. If the LT had to get involved it was like Armagedón LMAO! Anytime my dorm popped off I was usually off.
Facts JMG! I don't know if it was just RJD but there was absolutely zero chain of command structure. You would have AW's asking CO's to do things, it was so weird and the micro managing was out of this world.
Great interview 👍
Thank you for that VP!
Hey! My Dad was associate and then Warden at Folsom I from 85-90. I grew up on grounds so I remember all the parties. Dave Martin his name
Fantastic video. Super interesting ,
Thank you, Brian. I appreciate that brother 💪
Awesome interview 2 stand up guys
Thank you for that, Patrick!
What up what up. Shout outs from Mexicali, 15*03🍊
hard to find a mentor nowadays
A lot of it has to do with how busy the supervisors are, Mike. It is unrealistically busty with futile work.
….BADASS INTERVIEW… MUCH RESPECT TO RUDY FOR SHARING WITH US …
Thank you, Nick!
@@thatprisonguard TOLD SO WELL THAT I COULD PICTURE IT AND BEING TI ALL THOSE PRISONS MYSELF BUT BEING THE PRISONER… 👍

That’s my Boy CTF Sally Port 8! Rudy what happened to you hair ese? Much love and respect your boy Pokey! Pinchi Earnie is still working. He’s crazy but he’s loving it! 😅Saludos from Querétaro Mexico. Far away from all that bullshit in California
Finishing out first watch in a great tower lol. Enjoying it
That's right, David!
Lt.Bravo
How do you think the closing of juvenile camps/detention centers will affect the kids that look forward to being incarcerated? many speak of the their "schooling" at these facilities and how it prepared them for their eventual stint in prison, which some admit to looking forward as a rite of passage.
They need to bring back discipline, but structuring them like a 3-4 yard isn’t helping at all
Although it's not the same thing, it reminds me of when they closed down the mental hospitals and the state prison ended up with some of those people. I'll tell you from working with that population it was all bad. I can only imagine closing the youth facilities will have a negative effect somewhere else down the line.
💪🏽

RUDY!! 🤩👌

He's spot on about shootings back then. Even on ccc lvl 1 yard there was gunners. The garbage truck even had bullet holes from an escape attempt on the 2 yard. It was much better then. Who remembers the domino bombs back then?
Damn! What was a domino b?
Hollowed domino's stuffed with matchheads. Sounded like a gunshot inside. Back when they gave tobacco and matches out.
Can you do movie reactions on the movie FELON and the movie shot caller ? How accurate it is on inmate side and the correctional side?
I actually have been considering doing that. I will have to rewatch it to refresh my memory.

Guilty til proven innocent??? Hmm sounds familiar lol
What’s up
Did this guy no him?
Thats messed up on the captain acting like a stuck up hood rat, he should be getting to know the c.o's somewhat .
What up guys
What up, Fransisco! Great to see you tap in bro
Lt Rudy tell the story of the captains daughter falling in love with an inmate. I bet you do not know anything ...right?

You can tell that this CAT is a real dozy, glad i didn't run into this dude
