Great interview. I know this man personally having worked with him my first year. Much love and respect for Lt. He was a Sgt when I knew him back in the day.
Great interview. I worked with the LT. He was a Sgt when I knew him in ad seg CTF in the mid 90’s. Great supervisor. Always sharp clean cut. His High jump boots always spit shined like mirrors. Being a former Marine myself I respected him for looking and being sharp. Lead by example and others will follow. A class act. Everything Lt says I can tell you is true. I walked the double lines too. Those days are gone sad to say. 25+ yrs in the Dept. Hon. Retired. Semper Fi!!!
What’s up Hector? Órale Homie great interview. I love it when you interview these Veteranos CO’s. Hijo le reminds me of the days when my uncles and cousins would come back home from La Pinta and tell there war stories! Échale ganas Hector y poro pa delante. ✊🏽🫡✊🏽
Great interview Hector! This one is one of the best ones! They way it was broken down to me was the SGT was like Jesus and you go to him if your weak and can't handle your inmates HAHAHA! The LT was god. If the LT had to get involved it was like Armagedón LMAO! Anytime my dorm popped off I was usually off.
Facts JMG! I don't know if it was just RJD but there was absolutely zero chain of command structure. You would have AW's asking CO's to do things, it was so weird and the micro managing was out of this world.
Lt.Bravo How do you think the closing of juvenile camps/detention centers will affect the kids that look forward to being incarcerated? many speak of the their "schooling" at these facilities and how it prepared them for their eventual stint in prison, which some admit to looking forward as a rite of passage.
Although it's not the same thing, it reminds me of when they closed down the mental hospitals and the state prison ended up with some of those people. I'll tell you from working with that population it was all bad. I can only imagine closing the youth facilities will have a negative effect somewhere else down the line.
He's spot on about shootings back then. Even on ccc lvl 1 yard there was gunners. The garbage truck even had bullet holes from an escape attempt on the 2 yard. It was much better then. Who remembers the domino bombs back then?
That’s my Boy CTF Sally Port 8! Rudy what happened to you hair ese? Much love and respect your boy Pokey! Pinchi Earnie is still working. He’s crazy but he’s loving it! 😅Saludos from Querétaro Mexico. Far away from all that bullshit in California

I really enjoyed the conversation of two generations & “their” prison stories.
I commend you both for a service FEW are mentally equipped for.

They need to bring back discipline, but structuring them like a 3-4 yard isn’t helping at all

My high school got some of the weights from the prison near us when the weights got taken away. We got some big dumbells.
Finishing out first watch in a great tower lol. Enjoying it
That's right, David!
In 1982 there were only two Prisons in the State of California, San SQ & Folsom! The other facilities were called INSTITUTIONS !
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We brining the heat, Alexander!
Can you do movie reactions on the movie FELON and the movie shot caller ? How accurate it is on inmate side and the correctional side?
I actually have been considering doing that. I will have to rewatch it to refresh my memory.
hard to find a mentor nowadays
A lot of it has to do with how busy the supervisors are, Mike. It is unrealistically busty with futile work.
💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
my academy was 6 weeks.

Damn! What was a domino b?
Hollowed domino's stuffed with matchheads. Sounded like a gunshot inside. Back when they gave tobacco and matches out.
Im just over here dying laughing at something so heinous as the guards saying fuck that shoot the truck up 😂
LA county sheriff’s uniforms look like Correctional officers uniforms
