Thank you. I’m a 15 year old African American girl and my parents are strict Christians, but I believe in Allah swt. The suffering of Palestinians have changed my thinking and my ways. I haven’t (technically) reverted yet or ordered a hijab (out of fear of harassment and peer bullying as well as getting kicked out), but I believe that praying will help me atone until I can buy one. When I next get money I will try to buy the Qur’an, and I’m learning Arabic. Inshallah this journey will be easier for me 🤲🏾❤️

What is tauheed or the oneness of Allah?
Bismillah, salat us salam ala Rasullulah

The first step in Islam is tauheed - belief in the oneness of Allah.
.
‘There is no God but Allah,’ is a sum of no and yes. Without saying no to everything besides Allah, you cannot reach Allah.
.
‘Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him.’ Quran 4:36
.
Which verses show tauheed? If the verse says ‘only Allah’ or ‘besides Allah’, it indicates the oneness of God, and that belongs to Allah alone. The moment you share that thing with anyone else, you have created a partner or shirk.
.
The first page of the Quran says, ‘Only you, we worship, and from only you, we seek help’. ‘Only you’ means it belongs only to Allah, not anyone else.
.
If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; and if He forsakes you, who is there after Him that can help you? And in Allah (Alone) let believers put their trust. Quran 3,160
.
Quran 7:194 - Verily, those you call (pray/invoke/make dua) besides Allah, are slaves like you. Call them and let them respond to you if you are truthful.

Quran 29:41 & 42 - The example of those who take Auliya (protectors) besides Allah is like a spider that builds a net, but verily, the weakest of houses is the spider's house; if they knew. Verily, Allah knows what things they invoke besides Him. He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

So tauheed is to single out Allah for worship, seeking help, making dua, trust, and considering only Allah as the source of harm or hurt.

Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah have mercy on him), said in his book, 'Beg of Him and do not beg of anyone besides Him. Ask Him for help and do not seek help from anyone besides Him. Trust in Him and do not trust in anyone besides Him.' - 47th discourse in the book, Al-Fath Ar-Rabbani written by Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, page 281.

Opposite of tauheed is shirk.
Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book, 'shirk can be outer or inner. Outer is the worship of idols, while the inner is to trust creatures and regard them as the source of harm and benefit.' - Al-Fath Ar-Rabbani, 34th discourse, page 212
‘I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God.’ Bible, Isaiah 45,5.

I Am already a Muslim but I Needed to look up how to Pray again because I Went the]rough brain surgery which made me forget how to pray since I Couldn't actually pray at that time so I'm glad that I Found this video which will hopefully help me learn how to pray again with confidence!

@@ashirjutt612 To answer your question, I Couldn't pray in the traditional way when I was undergoing surgery and recovering I Was told to not place my Head below my waist to prevent blood and other fluids from building up in my head which would complicate things further. So I managed to pray Sitting Down for the time being but I Want to pray in the traditional sense, not sitting in s chair unless there Is no other way for me to Pray safely

It is very simple my brother. If you believe there is none that is worthy of worship except Allah the one true God & Muhammed is his servant & messenger then you declare it and you are Muslim. Faith is much more powerful than prayers. Just respect the Lord and have faith, no need to pray, everyone gets what they have earned.

Recite ayat kursi after every salah.
It was narrated that Abu Umaamah said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever recites Ayatul Kursi immediately after each prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.”
I only know the Fatiha and kursi. I’m having trouble with memorizing the teshahhud.

At that time there were very few Arabic to English translations of the ayat recited in solah. No internet then. You are doing a great service to the ummah who are non native Arab speakers. I once did this prayer with a friend of mine at school . I felt confused at first but after doing this prayer I felt different..in a good way. I felt as if I was cleansed and felt powerful . It was interesting to me.
Prostitutes perform salat and namaz in this way - this is the salat or namaz of prostitutes.
A prostitute first initiates this method of salat or namaz. Therefore, there is no control over time in this prayer and it has to be performed until the consumer is satisfied - as prostitutes do during prostitution.
So don't be offended if you see prostitutes offering namaz or salat - this method of salat or namaz is the contribution of prostitutes.

So beautiful, It's weird, I'm just starting to become a Muslim, and I was a bit insecure, is my faith real? I have yet to read the Quran and investigate more, but this gave me so much peace, I love it, alhamdulillah!! (Bro I'm crying literally out of happyness)
8 months ago I wrote this, mashallah, i do still get these moments while praying, truly beautiful to be close to Allah SWT again, and altough i wasn't a "muslim" before reverting, I was a muslim in the broad muslim (sorry to be redundant) sense.
Basically no matter where you come from, Islam is a reminder of the God you always knew, he who is, Huwa (which is considered a name of Allah SWT, and it also is in the Bible, the short version of YHWH, I recommend you professor Ali Ataie about this btw)

Same here me has been 2 months or so and been searching and learning reciting quran and honestly it is awesome and best choice i have ever taken Alhamdulillah and yes felt insecure too mostly my family are not muslim they are chritsians so i spoke to them and Alhamdulillah they accepted and let me do it freely mashallah

This is so nice of you. I am Jewish but when I say my prayers at home, like in the morning or at night, I preform them in the Muslim way. It is very spiritual and meditative. It fells like I’m really connecting with god.

In islam, we consider the Bible and the Torah as books from Allah too, and we have so much in common. Maybe try reading the full quran, and you can see for yourself what islam has to offer. Nowadays there are lots of people on the internet that spread misguidance, and the only way you can combat that it by reading it and experiencing it for yourself! I took my Shahadah on the 21st of March.....I haven't learned how to pray yet as I feel it is disrespectful to Allah praying to him when I'm having a hard time getting rid of Alcohol and smoking 😔. I'm a believer but I want Allah to have the whole of me without the alcohol and cigarettes. I'll get through this insh'Allah 🙏

Thank you, I am 17 from America, I come from a Christian background, I found faith in Islam from Dating a hijabi who I planned on marrying, who I'm no longer with, but she helped introduce me into Islam and find faith, because she was the only person I really knew who was Muslim, I was never really taught how to pray, and the closest masjids are hours away from me, I'm going to watch this video and learn how to do Salah, when I'm 18 I'm going to go to a masjid and take my shahada, Islam is truly beautiful and I want to start a Muslim family of my own one day. I reverted today - I went to my local mosque with a friend (you don’t need to go with someone necessarily) and we asked for the Imam - he then sat with me, talked to me about my decision and helped me recite what I needed to say in English and Arabic to accept Islam as my religion. Just say and believe "Ashadu Allah Ilaha Illallah wa ashadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu" which means "I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah(God) and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH-Peace be upon him) is the last/final messenger of Allah (God)"
If you believe this you're already a Muslim....Congratulations.... If you recite(even if silently) it with intention it's better..... If you go to any Mosque and take this Sahada recite this in front of them being an eye witness you'll be also easily recognised by the community as a Muslim.

Hello brother. If u really want to convert to Islam, u can go in any mosque or to ur Muslim friend and they will say the shahada and u have to repeat after imam or ur friend whoever. Islam is Peace Brother Islam is the right way. Ik Ur thinking should I accept the Islam or not but all this is from sheytan(devil) he won’t u to go in the right way. That’s why. Brother don’t think anymore cuz tomorrow isn’t maybe Promised. When u convert to Islam all ur bad deeds u have committed in the past they become all good deeds when u come to Islam. Die as a muslim with ur sins but not tomorrow as a kafir( disbeliever). When u have any questions u can reach me always In sah Allah.
