The title, combined with the feeling I get from the music, gives me this strong visual of a ruined modern city, completely overgrown with plant life. Trees growing through broken windows, vines and moss climbing up the walls of skyscrapers... it's one of my favorite aesthetics by far. Edit: spelling because fat fingers on mobile
@@themayomonster. of course. For me it's the best one muzzy has produced. I'm not that into his newer stuff but I respect what he does and I hope he still likes what he produces. But this track is a really special one
This is something else, one of the best deep-liquid style d&b tunes I've heard! So much detail, so much texture, so much atmosphere. Oh and of course, awesome drums, awesome bass :)
Just came here after re-vising the 020 Altitude Album lately when I heard this song playing there. Man, this is such a great awesome classic tune right here from this Muzz guy.
MUCH better than Insignia, but I hate trap with a flaming passion generally so that may be bias. This is different from his usual style but it's still awesome. Sound design is very mystical; similar to Bustre's feel but heavier. Drums are great, I'm a sucker for a punchy snare, and the kick is smooth. Ideas are great, I love the background singers when they appear. More trap. I won't ever review trap I hate because It's very bias as I hate the entire premise of trap but when I feel it has complexity and effort in it, like Grabbitz's remix of Taking Over, I love it a lot. I don't know what to expect, honestly.
i really enjoyed the beginning up to about 1 minute in. after words it just became unappealing. the exoticness of the lost metropolis portion of the beginning really drew me in and i was hoping for more of it.
Does anyone else get a Sonic feel from this song? cause i can perfectly imagine the part at 1:30 being in a Sonic stage, like a gray, darkened, devastated city zone
I'm just saying, do you honestly like it because it sounds really good, and its super creative and original, or do you just have a specific memory with the song. Honestly, as someone who never heard Metropolis until just now, Lost Metropolis sounds 1000000000000000000000x better
I know this song doesn't have vocals but why do people not like vocals? I enjoy them, I think they make the song better and add a whole nother element to the music.
I hope I get on Monstercat one day * o *
Your music is great, keep trying
Best of luck with your efforts! :D

Your opinion
Germo Gen Not to mention the melody in this is breathtaking! Absolutely a fantastic release, amiright?
I know! The bass synth on this makes me recall Hold Your Color era Pendulum. So much awesome throwbacky DnB flair.

WesleyAtkinson ikr they were my favourite band for about 3 years straight :(
Nice
That comment was so seamless

Quite frankly one of my favourite songs of all time. If only he would make something similar to this again...
The pendulum feels... i love this

@@lolean17 Muzzy for me is best DnB artist ,but this is different. Really special

This just goes to show that a song doesn't have to be heavy to have bass, what a masterpiece!
This is a very heavy song mate
Three years ago today this track was released. Still legendary, and it will remain that way forever.
level : pendulum or even higher
Yeah it reminds me a lot Pendulum "Midnight Runner" track, love it !
Why this remembers me a 9000 Miles version mixed in 2005 from pendulum
I love this bass after that drop!
1:00
I just feel a surge of emotions going through my mind
I haven't heard this in over 5 years, christ.

Anyone get a weird Pendulum vibe from the beginning from the song.

Nah This is not good next to insignia
I totally agree with your opinion.
This is freaking brilliant! :D
This song melts my insides makes me feel alive
Siempre que compro audifonos los pruebo con este temazo
Gracias por la idea
Monstercat's artist deserve all the attention in the world..
Not sold out fuckers, not mainstream releases
True artistic songs.
Pro DJ's
One of my favorite songs on 2014
Ugh I need more songs with that deep D'n'b chord progression
So far now, every release of 020 got my attention... especially this one.
i really enjoyed the beginning up to about 1 minute in. after words it just became unappealing. the exoticness of the lost metropolis portion of the beginning really drew me in and i was hoping for more of it.
This tingles my insides just the way I like it
I seriously think that this needs more views.
Reminds me of good old dnb kinda pre 2006 kinda era, amazing
I can say with complete certainty, that album #20 for Monstercat is going to be the greatest album ever.
Does anyone else get a Sonic feel from this song?
cause i can perfectly imagine the part at 1:30 being in a Sonic stage, like a gray, darkened, devastated city zone
The production values in this song, christ...
I LOVE IT
I'll bet if this song was labeled as trap everyone would hate on it, but because it's DnB it's good. I like DnB. Just making a point here.
Tons of people like Surface, Inside Out, Insignia, Boundless, and many other Trap tracks. So it would be unlikely that everyone would hate on this.
1 year on and still one of my favourite DnB songs :)
One of the best songs ever!
This song is so underrated.
Muzzy, amazing work with this one. I reckon the DnB you produce is probably the best. Interesting drop, I must say. Almost has a relaxing feel to it.
I like it beginning very much! Good recommendation from drum &bass.
TwoThirds lost + Stephen walking metropolis = this!
i fucking love the weird vibe, especially the 4:02 part
I don't think I'll ever get over my love of Monstercat
The beginning of the song sounds like the trailer to a heist movie
これは神。
really cool ;) best to hear that with headphones
Metropolis > Lost Metropolis
Older MC fans will remember.
Stephen Walking c:
I'm pretty sure anything released on monstercat two years ago is not as good as this
*****
why? I mean I love stephen walking, but I'm sure even he knows that song sounds horrible
I'm just saying, do you honestly like it because it sounds really good, and its super creative and original, or do you just have a specific memory with the song. Honestly, as someone who never heard Metropolis until just now, Lost Metropolis sounds 1000000000000000000000x better
Ryan Fitzgerald sounds really good. not for nostalgic reasons.
So hard and soft at the same time, i love your new style.
I LIKE DnB AND I LIKE THIS!!!!!!
finally found it. Love this song
Omg this bass is making love to my ears!!!!!!
best dnb I've heard so far
as i'm listening it keeps getting better... :)
I know this song doesn't have vocals but why do people not like vocals? I enjoy them, I think they make the song better and add a whole nother element to the music.
Interesting mix of DnB & more natural sounds, makes it feel like a Lost Metropolis :)
Oh baby cucumber jeebus, the drums though.
The DnB lord is back!
0:43 My favourite Part.
I ♥ MONSTERCAT

There is nothing more to say than BASS GOLD, HELL YEAH!
Ahh classic drum and bass beat, "Dm Ts ,dmTs , Dm Ts, DmTs, Dm Ts, DmTs"
You figured out how to spell it. Holy shit.
HELL YEAH! The intro reminds me of a Pendulum song, can't remember which one but THIS IS GREAT
Never fails to amaze me.
When here it comes came out, nothing better came to mind... but now theres a REMIX?!?!?!?!?! O. M. G
monstercat love
The start of :50 though, it's amazing
Gives me earthbound vibes at 1:28
I get Mario Kart Vibes from it
Neo Bowser City
This song is DnB. Dope n Beast.

Thumbed up before I even herd this amazing dnb !

The Bassline omfg
amazing beats
Them tunes! I like this. A LOT. thanks Monstercat
i love DnB because its allows you to turn up the volume hear the bass and not go deaf
I like it.
It sounds like it could fit in a menu for a zombie game or something.
It's eerie, calming, but kind of intense.
9000th like a boss. This song is so beautiful.
This song really reminds me of Pendulum, especially their Hold Your Colour album.
This song is pure gold :)
I'm addicted to this.
I wish there would be some more variety in the DnB uploads. They are all electro/liquid based. DnB has more to offer :(
YES! Moar DnB for Monstercat!
