- In this video, we'll cover a dark reality of IIT that haunts many students in IITs.
Guys, IITians are considered as one of the most intelligent people and best brains in the country.
So obviously, they are solid in terms of academics. They have scored well in exams throughout their life.
But do you know there is one thing that haunts them as well?
The thing is Back or Backlog which means failing in any subjects at IIT.
Yes despite clearing such a difficult exam ie. JEE Advanced IITians fear failing in their subjects at IITs and the reason is it gets very tough to clear the exam again due to the increasing exam pressure each year.
In this video, we have discussed backs in IITs in a very detailed manner.
I have a shocking story of a student who had so many backs/backlogs that he couldn't clear his 4 years program at IIT in 5 years and finally dropped out of IIT to pursue BSc.
The shocking part is his rank was 700 in JEE Advanced and he scored 95% on CBSE boards.

Well, I think preparing for IIT is more tougher and in college it depends whether you are doing great from the start or not...

I’d say preparing for IIT is tougher.. once you’re in their your life is in a way sorted (ofcourse there are struggles when you go there as well but not as much as the preparatory year(s))

Well just telling about IIT as a whole may not be correct. Also you should include the branch.
Moral : Overconfidence sinks you no matter who the hell you are.
I’m a 2nd yr MBBS student
Even in my 1 st yr I used to be scared of backlogs cos there are only 4 attempts
1st one the regular attempt with your batch , 2 nd being Supplementary exam…then after that if u fail, u will have year back.You will have to write and pass the paper otherwise if u don’t pass in the next yr u will have to exit the MBBS course😢

bhaiya me JEE ki taiyari kar raha hu par meri coaching me issues chal rahe hai. Jaani maani coaching hai.
Coaching me test ho rahe hai par test ka syllabus complete nahi ho raha our ho bhi raha hai toh ekdam ek din pahele.
Physics ki faculty change hui thi kyuki purane sir ke medical issues ho gaye the iss wajah physics me syllabus kabhi khatam nahi hota. Our joh woh padhate hai woh samjh bhi nahi aata.
Chemistry me syllabus complete ho jata hai par ekdam last moment pe our module toh solve hi nahi ho pati specially physical ki
Maths me sab sahi chal raha hai our usi me bass no. Aa rahe hai
Complaint bhi ki par kuch nahi hua.
Test me no bhi nahi aarahe our uski wajah se apni progress bhi check nahi kar paa raha.
