Togon did all that he could do for nyang the throne didn't matter much to him...wang yu loved nyang too but the throne was something he actually longed for so that he could improve the condition of koryo...wang yu put his country before his love and togon gave the paramount importance to his love so if you ask me who loved nyang more I would say togon because he and wang yu both gave their lives for her...but still for togon nyang was his everything....he really deserved her....and according to the real history too toghon temur was head over heels for his empress ki....so yeah I will always love tanyang more than wangnyang
She loves the emperor since the beginning but the reason why that feeling 'stopped' because of what happened to her father. I really love Ha Jiwon and I've watched almost all of her drama and movies. I even watched her latest drama Chocolate (really good drama, not typical korean love story type of drama, the main focus of the drama is about healing). But her role here as Empress Ki is really amazing (I know she's famous for Secret Garden too) but Empress Ki is so amazing. I started liking Ji Changwook too

Being a lover of historical dramas, I must confess that this drama has been fascinating, it exceeded all my expectations, a very beautiful story, having nothing to do with the true story of Empress Ki, it managed to move me, dream and create for me a different ending to the one we could see ... It was not fair that ending, even so, the final words cushioned the final blow. Luxury cast, marveling at such a level of perfection.
Empress Ki is my all time favorite Korean historical drama! I love Ji Chang Wook, he is so perfect for this role. His acting and his emotions are so believable and he is so damn good looking and his smile brightens the whole screen! The rest of the cast are great and the ost is superb. I wish to thank the writers and producers for creating such a wonderful drama!
Ha Ji Won is a great actress, and this will be her signature role of a lifetime. She plays a beautiful, super tough, brilliant woman who fights her way from the bottom to the very top and destroys all of her enemies. From a slave girl to an Empress in 51 episodes. This is the strongest female role I know of in cinema.
This is why hajiwon still is the best korean actress.. Ive seen so many historical drama for the past 6years, but this is exeptional.. I dint understand why hajiwon did not get an award for this, she is empress ki, literally she became empress ki.. No acting required.. This is my best historical kdrama, 2nd is hwarang. Heheheh...

Absolutely love this drama. Had reservations about watching it at first because it was 51 episodes but once I started, I was hooked. Searched for it because of JCW and he didn't disappoint. OST is also amazing.Wished it wasn't so heartbreakingly tragic though. Cried buckets!!! Still watching it many times over just to ogle at JCW haha

Just finsished the drama. My heart broke into 1000 pieces for real. It is hard for her to choose who to be with and who to love for real when she loves them both and they love her too. I know it may sound sick but I finished these 51 episodes in 2 days. My hours just went for watching this drama. I love this drama for real. Still the ending broke my heart so much. I want to know more what happened. Theh all sacrificed themselves for her. I am so sad still. But I will never forget this drama. Love it💘

Historically, Ki and Togon Temur were one of the very rare royal couples who were actually in love. I actually know of one more: King Gongmin of Goryeo and mongol princess Noguk who then became Queen of Goryeo.
Still can’t get over with this drama. 😔 I’ve watched it through netflix and didn’t mind blinking an eye just to continue watching, it took me 5days straight to finish the whole season. skl. 😅 Can’t help my heart to cry and be fascinated with every episode, it’s really worth watching. 🥰😊

I think Togon "needed" Nyang. Wang Yu was quite self-sufficient. Nyang's love for Togon probably started from pity and sympathy for him. On the other hand, her love for Wang Yu started from admiration for him. I believe she's a wonderful woman truly loved by two great men. But to me, Wang Yu was the one who loved her for nothing in return. He dared to love without wishing for anything in return. And even when she married someone else, he loved and supported her. Wang Yu's love was unconditional and therefore, I believe Wang Yu loved her more.
I heard a lot of good reviews about this drama, but I did want to watch it because 53 episodes to me are way too long. Finally, I decided to watch the drama because I was so curious about Ji Chang-wook, especially his attractive and sexy smile. I watched the drama non stop because damn, it was so good. I did not cry until the last episode. This is my fav couple because they're so beautiful and acting so well. I adore Ha Ji-won beauty. Can't even believe she was 35 or 36 at the time. Unbelievably beautiful. I wish she is around Ji Chang Wook age so they can date. Omg! They will make the prettiest couple, and prettiest babies. Ok! I've just dreamed enough. Love them. I think Togon "needed" Nyang. Wang Yu was quite self-sufficient. Nyang's love for Togon probably started from pity and sympathy for him. On the other hand, her love for Wang Yu started from admiration for him. I believe she's a wonderful woman truly loved by two great men. But to me, Wang Yu was the one who loved her for nothing in return. He dared to love without wishing for anything in return. And even when she married someone else, he loved and supported her. Wang Yu's love was unconditional and therefore, I believe Wang Yu loved her more.
I heard a lot of good reviews about this drama, but I did want to watch it because 53 episodes to me are way too long. Finally, I decided to watch the drama because I was so curious about Ji Chang-wook, especially his attractive and sexy smile. I watched the drama non stop because damn, it was so good. I did not cry until the last episode. This is my fav couple because they're so beautiful and acting so well. I adore Ha Ji-won beauty. Can't even believe she was 35 or 36 at the time. Unbelievably beautiful. I wish she is around Ji Chang Wook age so they can date. Omg! They will make the prettiest couple, and prettiest babies. Ok! I've just dreamed enough. Love them. I dont want to watch things where the main leads die. As great as the drama was and as much as I loved it. I feel miserable now.
