Honestly I’m sick of the Rockets going after centers. Mobley looks good, but I just don’t think he will be as good as Cunningham or Green. But watch the Rockets take Mobley.

The way we say KD is a one of a kind talent and there’s no one to compare his height and skill set to. I feel if Mobley reaches his highest potential, we could say something similar about him. I don’t recall any center of his height capable of doing the things he can away from the basket. He really plays multiple positions, and can defend them as well. He’s far from what he can be, but man he can be scary later in his career😳

Mobley is gonna be a bust..
he has a skinny but more physical Anthony Davis game. I think hes gonna be a great secondary star (it is so hard to be the number 1 star as a big in modern NBA on a championship team)
The best part about this guy is his work ethic and stoicism. He really has a chance to be a Hall of Famer and get the Cavs another chip
I notice three players in particular concerning Evan Mobley's tactical approach. If you combine Chris Bosh in his prime, Ralph Sampson, and LaMarcus Aldridge, however, you've got Evan Mobley with muscle strengthening, quickness, and fully accessible reaction time. That's what I predicted.
Mobley has better Def. than those 3. I'd swap Aldridge for Kevin Garnett

All these casuals thinking he is going to be a bust just because of his weight lmao. If a player I was drafting had to have one problem I would choose weight because putting on weight is way easier than learning to finish, shoot, play defence, or even change mindsets. you know recent bigs that needed to put on weight. Giannis and AD. Mobley has all the tools to become a future superstar in the NBA. needing put on weight doesn't concern me as long as they don't look like Poku.
Remember how skinny Capela was when the Rockets drafted him. Look at what he did for the Rockets (made it to the WCF)and now doing for Atlanta (made it to the ECF), three wins from the NBA finals…And Mobley has even better game than Capela. So many casuals on the Rockets!! 🤦🏽♂️
Bruh drafting a center is a big risk. It's a huge hit or miss. In the last decade, there are only 3 centers lottery picks who's career really panned out (AD, Kat, and embiid). Centres like Ayton, bagley, and wiseman are good lottery players. They were also very hyped back then. But it's stupid to look back and say they're worth drafting over luka, trae, and lamelo ball who are all franchise cornerstones now. Drafting mobley over the jalens would be no different.

There is a jalen green in the draft every year, however, a player like this hasn't popped up since Anthony Davis and he is better on the offensive end coming out of college
Wiseman was just drafted last year lol and remember how Bagley was supposed to be this guy? you could say the same about Mobley there's a ton of bigs that don't end up being AD. And what recent player has been anything like green? It could go either way I'd be fine with Mobley or Green
@@nocap6000 neither Wiseman nor Bagley showed the same level of defence that Mobley has coming out of college. And when i say a green type player I just mean a great scorer that is a guard. But last year Anthony Edwards was drafted and is a lot like Jalen green. They are both athletic finishers that have a good bag and show promise on the defensive end.

You don't always get to draft leaders. Very few PF were leaders. Kevin Garnett. Tim Duncan. Mobley is more skilled than Tim Duncan. Duncan couldn't bring the ball up the floor and shoot 3s.

@@toxicrain5295 mobleys footwork is nothing special, and a lot of his skill sets, (such as his hook) won’t work nearly as effective on the next level. Mobley is still a raw prospect, and with the rockets already having olynyk, Tate and Wood, I just don’t see the fit with having Mobley alongside Wood. Especially considering how much faster the game is getting in the modern nba. The pace would slow down to shambles, and spacing would be a mess. Not to mention defensive adjustments…

As a rockets fan I would take mobley he can help us on defense rebounds and also protect the paint because last season we were getting clapped on defense and if we take jalen green I don't want the rockets to do small ball and we are gonna loose games and be horrible on defense.
See the issue was, we were getting “clapped” on defense because of defensive adjustments. We had 2 big men in Kelly and Wood playing most the time, this slowed the pace, and allowed for a guard to be guarded by Wood or Kelly 90% of the time. In today’s game, us taking Mobley would only prove that point MORE. we need to speed up the pace, going with Jalen green would compliment this so much.
