I made one mitten yesterday to test myself. It looks so nice in gray, but the yarn I used is scratchy for a newborn. I will be getting new yarn and am going to make the mittens and matching hat for part of a baby shower gift in October. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Normally when I create patterns I work with a pen the old way. I Write down small notes it's all. I used a 3.5mm hook. Maybe In too tight with my stitches.
