Don't do this the beans are already thoroughly washed before packaging moisture content of 10 to 12 % changing this can cause the beans to scorch and burn can be undercooked in the middle tasting burnt and grassy
I've tried today this roasting method ( moisturizes the beans prior to roasting ) and can say the coffee is different and in my opinion I found this coffee taste different than the normal . However thanks for sharing!!! It's one different way for homemade roasted coffee beans which roasted with traditional roasting method. Thanks a lot...........
I found washing the beans before makes the skillet temperature lower. And you don't scorch the beans when you put them in and it raises a temperature of the beans evenly when the skillet comes back up to temperature. I was washing it to try to get all the skins off of it and basically people walk on the beans and stuff so. Then I started wondering if you got a natural process bean would it wash the cherry flavor off. I don't know I think they taste better when you wash them. As long as you don't wash them too much but it's all in the roast. 🤷
I like the way she washes the beans so throughly. I will do this as well. Thank you.

Why do we watch 5 mins of washing ?
It is Coffee time. So, no need to rush :)
also it’s helpful to see what it looks like & how long it takes to wash the beans
Thank you for this! I absolutely love Ethiopian food and drinks 🙏🏽💚

This is my go to ASMR roasting coffee video lol😂
Removing the chaff in the water is a good idea since it's harder during and after roasting.👍
Did they wash them back in the day?
Never seen anyone try to pick up water before😂
why not use a sieve to filter ?
We are doing it the natural way
Yes. Sieves are artificial
So is the frying pan, oven and tap water.
It took at least 1 week to dry the beans under the sun, this is the way it process the beans.
Why you wash the beans?
good job dear ☺️👍🏽❤️
Biji kopi ini sudah kering dan keras, tidak masalah jika mencucinya, itu hanya basah dibagian luar saja, dan akan segera kering di atas pemanggang

Hello 😅❤
After all that looks rubbish 😂
Washed too much, the coffee soaked in water for long-wash, take time to dray, that's not the way to do, tray quick wash taste better.
