A Tron in the wild!!! Cool, might need to look at getting the 3D bezel kit for the sides of the monitor. I'm putting my coin doors a little lower, because of the cross panel on the inside of the A1up!
Great recap of your day! Was thinking a Stern Star Wars was the ultimate goal, a lot can go wrong with real pins as you saw...might need a rethink, the 4KP might be all I need! Enjoy the day today 👊
Always great ending with The Dude! This looks like my kind of crowd right here. Loved growing up at arcades and the feel of mechanical gaming was like nothing else today.
I was at that very convention center and hotel, for Minefair convention several years back. That looked like an amazing experience! Thanks for sharing it with us. :)
10:45 Phil you're right brother it's a ton of green in the front. I'm leaning more towards attack from mars now. But I guess we were right the displays were for sale.
Good morning Phil, awesome walk and talk, a complete tour of expo and how it looks😮. I like that they have a little of everything besides the pinball. Wish Atgames could have displayed all the tables, to compare all tables side by side. The peanuts does look nice, JP now that I’m seeing it might have more green on it than how it looks on the website and also agree with you Addams Family topper might be the best the topper looks sharp no washout. No wonder a lot went with that skin. I still would have loved Star-trek the next generation skin for Atgames pinball. Enjoy your Sunday Phil👊🏼
You all should be jealous...we got to hang out with the nicest UA-cam walk & talker there is! We had such a great time Phil! You are one of the good guys! By the way, that San Francisco Rush went for $250 at the auction that was held on site. By the way, that entire room of pinballs is owned by ONE guy...Bob Birk who is the founder of the Pinball Expo.
Hey Phil! Ask if you can take home any of the X-men posters. I'm sure they don't want to haul it back to wherever. Looks like a lot of fun man. I know you're not a super pinball guy but X-men is always our jam. One of these days I swear I'll go and auction a full size cabinet.
If you make a pinball that is bigger than Hercules, that playfield better be filled with the coolest of stuff and shots nobody has ever seen given the room you have to design... Unfortunately I didn't see that on Mothership 😢
I know they probably would never make it in a million years. But if any company released a The Dukes of Hazzard pinball table. That would be super tempting to pull the trigger on. lol And if I was at the Expo you would probably find me sticking out from the crowd. lol
Hey Phil, I sorry I didn't see you during the day. I got there about 11ish and stayed till 4:15. It was a great time and my wife (who was working) wants to go. Also, in the clip where you are talking about the X-Men banner my son walks past you.
@@PDX7 On the flip side, glad to know that there is a Costco nearby. Next year I will go there to eat and get drinks. I didn't get any at the show as I ate before going to the show.
They have multiple rooms that take up 100,000 sq ft. This is the biggest expo I have been to. Been going to this show for years. It use to be a lot smaller actually.
You made a good point about the Snoopy ALP. I love it, but how is that bright yellow going to look when I play other games like John Wick, Jaws, or Metallica. ALP HD trim is all black. So each game kinda makes the whole machine turn in to whatever you're playing. Decisions, decisions...lol
I think any of the skins will be good especially in a dark room the backglass and playing field will really make us think we have a dedicated pinball :)
seriously...... i'm at every expo for 11 years. i generally go for as many days as i can and am there THE entire day. plus a couple other public pinball events. i've watched hundreds of videos of these events. last year during one person's video, i caught 2 seconds of me in the background playing the atari pinball line-up. otherwise PAPA, expo, pinball at the zoo, MWGC. i never make an appearance. my brother shows up for half a day at expo. spends most of that tailgating and ends up not once but twice in the first video i go to watch. my superpower is invisibility.
@@PDX7 a little crowded, and i miss the old 24 hour free gaming hall that expo had years ago. but otherwise mr berk put on quite a show. placing the gaming hall in the carpeted room was a good decision. seeing the entire lineup of Hankin games is something i never expected to see. the homebrew section gets better each year. the one problem i have is that a lot of the big collectors don't bring out games any more. this puts the onus on mr berk. that squeeze means that i'm now waiting to play... even EM games have a line to wait. at some point it just becomes cheaper and better to drive to Girard.
@@PDX7 i'd been there twice. the first time in their old location was a disastrous trip for me and a friend. if they got a new venue, i said i'd try again. i did, but didn't care for it. part of the problem is that when you through in a bunch of non-pinball people into the mix, they'll play pinball but usually they'll start three games, play two balls and walk away. it would get so crowded that i'd be waiting to play even old EM games. and i hate waiting in line. i figured it cheaper and a better pinball dollar to drive to Pinball PA, pay my three month pass and play 180 pins in a mostly empty building for 7-10 days. the other thing i didn't like was that i enjoy tailgating between pinball sessions. from the game hall, out of the convention center, down the block, up four flights of the parking garage is kind of an annoying walk just to have a quick sit and a beer and i don't make the kind of money where i can be paying ten bucks a beer for convention hall beer. i go to expo cause it's super close. i go to pinball at the zoo in kalamazoo cause it's super laid back, and i know a collector out there who has after parties in his pinball filled garage.... 60 or so titles. but honestly i love either pinball pa or past times, or if i have a bit of extra money pinball perfection
@acidgougewaltz I completely understand, I’m glad you got to experience it and have an idea between the two conversations. I’d say both similar in ways, but totally different.
@PDX7 it was kinda of a letdown. I think the gameplay is good on them. I think some people disagree with me, but I think cosmetically Arcade1up Pinball looks nicer. I just wish you could combine the two. The chrome trimming and legs on Arcade1up make it look nicer. I want to see Star Trek. If I'm not crazy impressed, I might wait 9 months for the new skins to come out. It's too expensive to just settle with one that I kinda like
Was there last night went around midnight to 2 am best time to play, no lines. Can’t stand playing a game and someone breathing on you to finish up so annoying. Finally picked up Star Trek TNG at auction. Been wanting for 10 yrs and actually paid less then when I was looking back then. Not a Elton John fan but that pin is beautiful. X-men could have been better didn’t care for the animation and voice acting. The old Konami game looks better. Avatar was boring. Godfather is really bad. Some of these new pins are not good. A lot of these new pins seemed rushed. I played more vintage pinball than the new ones.
@@PDX7 I picked it up yesterday around 6. I didn’t want to waste time on Sunday over there because everybody will be tearing down that day. Probably be chaos there on Sunday.
Thanks for the tour and commentary!
Thank you so much for watching:)

I will definitely be rewatching this one again later today

What a really great walkthrough Phil! What did you think of the Looney Tunes table?? I'm a huge fan of Looney Tunes..
Hi Jason, I loved it! One of the coolest ones I saw, if I could’ve taken two home it’s Looney Tunes & X-men :)
How big is the actual expo space?? The main room doesn't look very large
Not that big, there’s the main room and 2 smaller halls.
They have multiple rooms that take up 100,000 sq ft. This is the biggest expo I have been to. Been going to this show for years. It use to be a lot smaller actually.
James hates everything, including the pinball expo 😂
lol I think he liked it :)
Jurassic Park might have still had the protective film on the topper making it look washed out.
I think it has the film on, I found this out after :)
