Asura wins in experience because he was never a monster controlled by his rage. Kratos absolutely was at one point. That's why the "you are a monster no longer" "I never was" exchange happened at the end of that fight

The order that the characters are mentioned in the title is the same order they cover the characters in. Since this episode is titled "Kratos vs Asura," that means Kratos gets covered first, then Asura.

The problem is bro this is feats vs statements cause really think about it if you go back to old god of war games they say Kratos can do a lot of shit but has no feats to back it up unlike asura who has statements but has feats to back it up. Like how it said kratos killed Kronos right but he needed the blade of Olympus to do most of this shit while asura killed the god of his universe in his base form with no help or god killing weapons and Kronos was chained up and awaked while asura fighting his god while his god was a full power and in its peak
bro kratos started as not a calculating man it started as a man who wanted vengeance no calculation no nothing just a man getting god killing weapons and more god killing weapons to kill gods while asura is literally a diety who killed other dieties and god with no weapons just his rage. And let’s not forget kratos has died from basic head trauma from Thor and don’t say he came back to life Thor brought him back if Thor was like oh well jobs done kratos would be dead right there and then and in the last game it is stated that kratos doesn’t have any of his old powers any more and he has tried to use them and failed
@yaboi_kyle4089I just want to point out that Thor hit the world serpent so hard he sent it back in time; the fact that Kratos remained intact after getting hit with that hammer is a feat in itself. You are free to your opinion but by that logic I can argue that “Asura should lose because he was just dropped from orbit.”

Initially wrote this long ass multi paragraph rebuttal for another channel but then the boi reacted so I have to send it here too.
I'll start this off with I love both of these characters and I will admit upfront that I have a slight bias toward Asura because I just think he is just cooler. It isn't the first time my fav character in a battle lost, I won't say who because I haven't seen you watch those yet so no spoilers. But this one in particular irks me even with the alt ending. Okay so my main issues with this is quite simply, most of the feats they supposedly use for Kratos relies on assuming he can do the things that other gods can do without proof that he can.
Classicmand had two great videos on it but he took the later one down for some reason. But the one that is still up points out the same thing they do. Its written statements and assumptions on the side of Kratos vs shown undeniable feats of Asura.
For example, as the strength feats. The other god holding back ragnarok, as far as I'm aware, we have no idea by what means or power he is even holding it back with, and we have even less reason to assume that Kratos can do the same just because he is stronger. Alot of people even use the supposed flipping the 9 realms, but from what I've seen, he was literally just opening the gate with the literal gate opening mechanism.
I won't whine about him having the Blade of Olympus despite Kratos himself saying that he has no access to his powers or weapons from the greek pantheon with the exeption of the blades of chaos.
Because even with the Blade of Olympus, not only do we not have any reason to assume it can work on the energy that Asura runs on, but as far as I can remember the only person that it has worked on that is close to the level of power that Asura can muster at endgame is Cronos at his peak.
The same Cronos who was weakened, sealed in chains with a mountain on his damn back and trapped in the literal underworld when Kratos fought him putting him below Asura in strength. After reading the wiki for Cronos, apparently even when Zeus overthrew him with the Blade of Olympus, Cronos was already weakened because Hades had drained his soul.
Not to mention, Asura's endgame energy was so high than in his base form he had more evergy than the creator of his universe in his true form and was able to 1v1 him and kill him. Nothing Kratos has fought with and absorbed with the Blade of Olympus comes even close. They even use Asura's supercharged base form in the alternate ending for heavens sake.
Even the speed feats they tried to use for Kratos makes no sense. In the same clip they used as an example of him moving faster than light, has him slowly struggling to walk through sunbeams. The video used literally debunks the feat they tried to give him based on it. The only speed feat that would make sense for him in terms of combat speed would be his fight with Heimdall with him outspeeding near all seeing pregognition which is busted as fuck don't get me wrong. But is still not fast enough to match Asura's overall speed. Granted initially they would be on par with eachother, but in his other forms or even his max energy base form he would outspeed Kratos.
All in all, despite my gripes with how they did the scaling. I love this video so damn much because not only is finally Asura is getting more attention after so long of people just not knowing he exists. Devilartemis made this animation so clean I can't even be mad at it. The alt ending helped with that too. But man both the endings were just shots in the feels.
I will say this about if we just picked from the games themselves. So this is how it goes.
God of War vs Asura = Asura wins
God of War 2 vs Asura = Asura wins
God of War 3 vs Asura = 50/50
God of War (Norse Gods) vs Asura = 50/50
God of War Ragnarök vs Asura = Kratos wins
So i will explain why the first two would lose. So in the first god of war game Kratos was still a human/demi god as they state. The thing is that he didn't have anything until he got the blades from Ares. Now the thing is that Kratos does gain the power of hope at the end of the game. Which helps him win but in the end Kratos isn't strong enough in that game to beat Asura. In God of war 2 you could say Kratos has a chance but remember he still has no way to beat Asura as he has no weapons to drain Asura at all or give a killing blow. At this power Kratos is a god but not as strong yet. Now in God of war 3 he has something more powerful and kills all the gods and finds out that he still had the power of hope. The power of hope is what still keeps him strong even as he gets stronger. Also people for get that Kratos also scales higher then Asura as they say Asura is a demi god. While Kratos is a god. The only thing Asura had going for him was his wrath.
Kratos was a God in formal. Actually he was a demigod, especially after GOW 3. But even with Blade of Olympus it was hard for Kratos to kill Zeus. Only GOW 3 Kratos has chance to win because of boots of Hermes, but he would win only if the blade of Olympus would consume power faster than Asura recover it. But remember how fast Asura can get power Blade of Olympus can't consume power so fast. And Asura can just break the blade
One feat they seem to forget about kratos was invokcing flipping týr's temple. Its connected to all nine realms at once meaning by flipping the temple hes grabbing the weight of the other realms together as each door goes to the other realms at the same time. That has to mean something

The thing is, those are portals. No way they actually hold the weight of all 9 realms. It would be a pretty clean side feat though.
@Maxjb1242 I'm saying that temple is connected to all those other realms and would also mean the weight from them as the temple still is intact. The games states the temple is rooted into the other realms and it's the one constant of each realm.

Visual feats vs lore feats haha team Kratos all day 😁 but ya trying to break down feats is an impossible task for kratos he’s done so much haha even without the ragnarok feats I think GOW 3 Kratos still wins and both of them can just crawl back from death so it’s a never ending fight till one of them calls a time out haba
