- So, the curtains fall. Here is the brand new 2024 Audi Q6 e-tron. A car that Audi themselves are extremely hyped about. There are lots of things to cover so lets go!
Yes, we all know that the Q6 has been delayed for almost 2 years, cause of different reasons, but now it’s finally here. Audi CEO says it’s the ”next technological leap in premium electric mobility”. The first car to have the brand new Audi interior, first to feature the new lighting technology, first to have the control arms positioned in front of the suspension arms, and much more things that we haven’t seen before.
So, the design language may look quite similar to the other Audi SUV, but the car really is stepping into new territory for Audi. First car of the PPE platform, that is developed together by Audi and Porsche.
The first two versions available are the 2024 Q6 e-tron with 387hp (285kW), 0-100 kmh time of 5.9 seconds, range of 625km (388 miles), and a top speed limited to 210 kmh. Then there is the SQ6 e-tron quattro that has a total output of 516hp (380kW), range 500km ( miles), 4.3 seconds times and top speed of 230kmh. Both cars use a 100 kwh gross new lithium-ion battery, which can charge to 255kmh in 10 minutes, and 80% in 21 minutes. The charging is 270kW as standard, with the 800volt technology. These two models are with quattro, but two later models will come with rear wheel drive, depending on the market. Around 95% of the everyday braking process is recuperated at up to 220kW.
The Q6 has a wheel size of 2899mm (9.5ft), and it allows plenty of legroom. The car is 4771mm (15.6 ft) long, 1993mm (6.5ft) wide and 1648mm (5.4 ft) tall. The trunk is 526l (18.5cuft) and frunk is 64l (2.2cuft).
There is a lot to cover on the interior but the most important things is the new curved panoramic MMI screen with OLED tech that has a 11.9” Audi virtual cockpit and 14.5” MMI touch display. Additionally there is a 10.9” passenger screen. I think I covered the most important info.

Third generation of Audi Q5 will have similar looking interior and exterior styling and is coming soon.
Textile seats, door trims and torpedo looks extremely cheap. Full leather interior is a must have for a premium car

The touch buttons on the door are awful. Hopefully they will get rid of them, not everything that's new is great.
While I do like this, the Q8 E-tron SUV is still my go-to electric Audi SUV at the moment.

how cool is that? You're not allowed to use your phone while driving but everything needs to be controlled using a touch screen. Magnificent!

Price and performance will be a disappointment since it will cost only slightly less than Macan and will be slower for sure

There is neither harmony nor premium feeling in this cabin. I like the exterior though.
Has Audi done enough to outdo the BMW IX? I don't know. Where is the Pan Roof?? This launch colour is a bit dull to be honest. The fabric in the cabin is nice and the lights are interesting. The success of this model will highly depend on the range performance and charging capabilities.

@@uunokailas8599 2024-2025 we will see almost the entire Audi fleet overhauled. New Q3, Q5, Q6, Q7, Q9, A4/S4, A5/S/RS5, possibly an A6, and new A7/S7 and the Avant version

It’s an elegant EV. Better than the Macan ev. But it’s too expensive and too heavy. I hope the 2nd row foot room won’t be similar to that in the taycan. It will face a hard challenge against Tesla and Chinese EVs.

There's the Q5 55 TFSI e that you can get. It has more power than an SQ5.

Worst car ever realised by Audi. What’s happening with them? Audi supposed to be futuristic, luxurious with a great interior quality, now it’s all the opposite.

the interior on this car is total dogshit. Nothing I would ever consider owning. They've gone from having the best interiors to a pig's breakfast approach to their design language. No actual buttons, all haptic single button shit, screens everywhere, fabric that will collect dust and look terrible in a year or two, no leather - it's garbage.
