Videos like this are why I’m subscribed. Nobody else on UA-cam offers the same perspective as Tiago. He’s quickly becoming one of my favourite figures in the AFOL community.
Tiago!! I think you missed the most amazing co-building experience for LEGO - the Build Together mode in the LEGO Builder app!!! Hundreds of sets support this new mode, you can have a various number of builders, and most importantly, everone actually gets to build every part of the set TOGETHET as the app asks you to swap your mini-builds woth other builders all the time! We've done it with many sets, with experienced builders and those who never played with LEGO before, hands down this is such a game changer! Perhaps a separate video on that?? Any set with a purple icon in the app can be co-built
Just commented the same before seeing your comment. Fantastic feature. They should promote it more. I only found it as always use the iPad app rather than the instruction book.
Have no idea how he doesn’t know about this amazing feature… it’s like he has never used the app. Telling people to get the pdf…..
@@Zer0G101Not building lego with paper instructions somehow feels like sacrilege to me. I know it's stupid to think that way, but I can't just change my mind so easily.
The lego flower peices are split into 2, perfect for couples! me and my gf made the orchid and the floral centerpiece and it was super fun!
They way he assumes we have friends 💀
😂
True 😭
That’s why we build LEGO 😉

My partner and I LOVE building Legos together. If it doesn't have multiple booklets, then we take turns. One picks out the pieces, the other places, switching off every bag. Sometimes it's obnoxious, but it's always fun. We're working on the Hocus Pocus house currently.
We do that too for date nights. If it doesn't have multiple booklets, one of us will get the instructions on an ipad
I would also think the massively repetitive Captain America shield could be a contender. Share the pain.
😂😂😂 why didn’t I think ok that!!
I think sets with many repetitions of sub-assemblies are also great as co-op sets which was a bit glossed over here. You get that part done twice as fast, and have company while doing it!
This video is so creatively made Tiago! If only we had friends…
You know it’s gonna be a good day when Tiago uploads:)
What about the build together options in the LEGO phone/iPad apps?? Those are great … no need for pdf and spilt manuals….
When I build with my little brother I find the pieces for him and he puts the together (with a little of my help if he needs it). It works for us, since I get to watch the building process, know I contributed and I can have an unofficial competition with him of trying to find the next pieces before he finished the step we're on. And he just gets to enjoy building and having an extra set of eyes and hands if needed.
Diagon Alley - great for up to four . Not for little kids perhaps but each building has a unique look and individually are fun builds.
I’m just here jealous on the number of lego sets you have. Great video!
Not really sharing in the same way, but I think the flowers work well with the right people. We got some for both our grandmas, and we mostly had them put it all together but when there were repeated steps (such as the bouquets having you make two or three of the same flower), my brother and I would tackle some of them. So grandma still got to do her own Lego set and make the flowers, and we got to have some fun helping them along the way
Homies who build together stay together 👊
Correct
Very looking forward to building the Alpine Cabin with my son and girlfriend this holiday season! Also a lot of the Speed Champions sets are really great for two people because they feature multiple vehicles and sometimes include other backdrop or playset features. My son and I particularly love the Ford GT and Ford Bronco combo set as well as the Dodge Challenger and Dragster combo.
Me and my wife build tons of sets together we just do 10 steps and pass it on. It helps to give plenty of breaks during especially large builds.
love to build lego with my kids. For example, I build the Saturn V (21309) and the shuttle discovery (10283) with my 5 year old daughter and she did many things on her own...
But it all started with the R9800 (42100) and they where my co-builders :)
That assumes I have friends……besides which I’m Sméagol like when it comes to LEGO! My own my precious!! 😂
Thank you for sharin this cool video! It’s so lovely to build together 😃😊
I agree life is alot better when you have a building buddy. I have fond memories of building the original large Eiffel tower w my mom. Each person sitting across from each other mirroring the others build, kragled the base plates to a IKEA lack table.
Me and my partner just got the Tales of the Space Age set and its literally perfect for both of us to complete a plaque at a time. Love this set!
The Mandalorian Fang fighter vs TIE Interceptor set we bought together with my buddy and split it according to our own interests 😊
When it's time to build a new lego set I turn into Gollum/Smegal and can't allow anyone else to build it. I mean what if they miss a part or God forbid they can't stop talking. No no, lego time is me time.
I built the succulent set with my family last Christmas, and had a pretty good time with it.
One thing you didn't mention was that the Lego Builder app lets you choose how many people are joining your session. I'm not sure if that'll change how the instructions are presented, but it at least gives Builders 2-4 a way to see the instructions.
Brilliant to watch and some great ideas for family building.
Been looking for this kind of video! Thank you for putting this together Tiago. Would be fantastic if we could get an annual version for that year's 2+ builders sets
Can't belive Tiago has a twin brother :0
(on the thumnail)
I asked him for help to do this one :)
This is getting out of hand! Now there are two of them!
👀👀
A suprise to be sure, but a welcome one...
@@SeaBeast4Life Hello there
Surely Friends sets would be the best candidate for building with friends. Also the Friends (sitcom) set
Id like to add the speed champions to this list. You could either get one of the bundle sets and have a building experience for up to two people or get as many of the single sets as you want and have a shared experience for as many people as you want and at a very affordable price point of around $20 per car
You forgot the ninjago city sets. With 3 levels and 3 instructions, they are perfect to build with 2 of your friends
The Lego NES took me and a friend 6 hours. We were not racing, but we had fun the whole time. She built the TV, and I built the NES. I finished first and helped her
Even a lego set have 3 or more instruction booklets, i still rather to build it all alone. Because the long journey of the building is a good experience for me.
Building Lego together is only for the closest ones (who also appreciates Lego) for me, probably why I will build my sets alone forever *cries inside*
The flowers sets are good to build with others, as there are multiples of each flower meaning they can be built side by side
The four of us built toghether last years' Winter Village set, and I even convinced them to participate in my review video. Although the video was expectedly a flop (I don't really care, just film what I want), it was a lot of fun to do the whole thing as a family.
Rivendell is a great set to build with friends. Up to 3 at least.
The Saturn V rocket could also be a pretty cool set to build with someone, each person gets a stage though I think there's only one instructions booklet
Really good video can you do a video of all best value of last 10 years?
This is honestly such a cool video idea!!!
Ive shared the Nasa shuttle set and the bowser set as well
Love this content I find it great inspiration for my videos
This video seems highly underrated. Not really a thing I've thought of since I'm always helping my kids build but not thought I should have them build a section and let me to do other parts.
I need more booklets!😄
Hi Tiago!
I tried doing botanical collection flowers with my 7 years old, but it turned out not to be her thing, BUT Lego Lighthouse was superb:) she was doing the house portion of the build while I had fun doing Lighthouse part of it:) now she and my youngest 2y old enjoy playing with it (and slowly tearing it apart)
My sisters first lego set was the Hogwarts castle, which is not technically a 2-person set. But I did books 1 and 2 and my sister 3 and 4. All but maybe half a dozen steps we had to hold up on. Very easy changes to the instructions would make it a 2 person set.
With currently being 14 bags into the Lion Knight castle myself, I agree that it is definitely a set you want to build alone. I am trying to do 1 bag a day on my days off from work with my goal to have the whole set done and in my city by Thanksgiving on November 23rd which is when my family will have it on my moms side this year. I dont need my younger cousins going through my nearly done 4,500 piece castle just to break it with 1 to 2 bags to go.
THANK YOU FOR THIS! Was looking for a video exactly like this to build some sets with the family ☺️💗
Awsome sets this year I've got riverdell and greengotts bank
How do you get a job for a Lego Designer ?
There's also the builder app, sometimes sets in the app have a building together option
Awesome video
Im getting the Lion knights castle and I’m so excited to build it this Wednesday! However I’m splitting it with not one, not two, but three OTHER people 😢 wish me luck!🍀
I wish they started making modular(by design) technic sets where you can split chassis building from the body and build this by two people.
Diagon Alley
great vids bro. keep up the good work
great video, thank you so much!!
Really
Dig
You
Dude‼️
Built the Titanic with two other people, once of the best building experiences I've had.
Most of these are probably too complex/uninteresting for my little guy and I need to convince my wife to come build and my youngest is still too young. Being a parent is about patience for many reasons lol. Great video though especially leading up to the holidays
You forgot the Captain America's shield. That can be shared with 20+ people and you don't even need to download anything, as all of you will be on the same page
7:08 Also, Sanctum Sanctorum has 3 booklets.
Digital instructions are evil. Lego is trying to pry you away from the screen, and you are holding onto it.
(it is great to have these as an archive after you tossed the instructions - no need to keep trash)
I respectfully disagree. I built 76419 using the Lego Builder app, and it made distinguishing new pieces to build and place so much better than the booklets, with the added bonus of rotating/zooming the 3D model when I needed a better look.
This year I discovered my mother enjoys building LEGO, so for Mother's Day (August 15th in Costa Rica), I gave her the Dried Flower Centerpiece, since we can build it together n_n I will try to acquire a Winter Village set, since my mother loves Christmas. I also built the Race Buggy Transporter with my best friend, a very little set, nevertheless, quite fun n.n
I also thinks some big Classic sets with many little constructions can be fun co-ops, especially for kids. The 3 biggest sets I have are The Majestic Tiger, the Indiana Jones new Temple of the Golden Idol and the Monster Fighters Dracula Castle. While the 2 first ones only have 1 manual, with the PDF I think you can build these three together with some friends: Temple of the Golden Idol could be 3 people, Monster Fighters probably 6 people, and Majestic Tiger up to 12 people (head, 4 legs, tail, body separated in 5 rather small sections and the side build).
The other day I was building techicnic with a friend the other day!
Nice video, audio was a bit soft though, compared to other videos
How about the infamous LEGO t e c h n i c?
Great to share with the trash bin 😈
This is great because I have family who wants to build with me but the stuff I get is usually for one person
If I had friends I wouldn't let them just touch my Lego bricks 😂
Maybe thats why you don't have friends...
Me neither. They’re vandals.
Currently I have more than enough sets to share, but I bet my mom would scoff if I suggested to build together.
Are you going to do a valentine's day version?
I found Lego World Map to be a great coop set. Since the set is huge, we took turns and it worked out great
I like to use build, the 3D versions are great
13173rd
Another option is: one is searching the right pieces, the other builds.
Are your videos getting quieter with every new video or is it just me? I need to crank up the volume to hear you
Ngl, i get the point in this video, but honest i build for years and years with my mom lego sets and it was always just me left page, her right page. And honestly, it brought us closer together and is rly nice to enjoy every step together:)))) good video as always tho!
I believe the Hogwarts vastleggen 71043 can also be built by two people independently, but lion castle rules still apply
I would say the lego nes.
I still prefer to build the sets I buy for myself by myself 😂
If anyone with enough cash to buy and enough space to display the LEGO Titanic needs a friend to help build it, I’m in xD
I built the wildflowers, jazz quartet, and Rivendell with my friends and those are easily some of the best moments I’ve ever had building legos. It’s interesting getting back into legos as an adult as there are many sets and QOL improvements that I had always wished for
I totally agree with you on this! One of my best friends and I have been building SO many LEGO sets together that I can't even name theme all. The bond that you create just by working together on the same thing is just amazing! And when you add music or a movie everything just becomes ten times better. Some of the best sets that we've built together by now has been:
Rivendale
The giant hogwarts castle
Diagon Ally
All 4 Hogwarts moments books (at the same time)
The ministry for magic
The shrieking shack
Hogsmeade
You might start to see a pattern but these were just to name a few of the best. We found that if you switch buildparts every other pack or so you end up both feeling like you built the entire thing and then everyone's happy :)
Came just in the right time after I wanted to build a speed champions set... with another person 💀
I had no idea :-)
Brickheads are alsof nice to build together with our children
I'd definitely add the Colosseum to this list as well! Because the build is divided in different slices, it's a great way to share the build! Over the building process I built it with friends, my roommates at the time and my partner, making it a memorable building experience for me, despite its repetitiveness.
Good call! It’s just that I don’t really like repetition so that one is a big no-no from me haha
@@TiagoCatarino exactly why it's a good set to share in building! 😋
I wish I had friends to do this with
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
What sets do you think are the worst to build with someone?
There’s no such thing
No, thank you.
NO! I build my own lego, anyone can help me 😂😂😂
If he means girlfriend here, I'll report this video offensive
