More than 7 million Sudanese civilians have been displaced and millions more are facing limited access to basic services - including food, water and medical supplies - since the war between the Sudan Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces broke out in April 2023. Amid the spreading violence, international humanitarian partners have struggled to negotiate necessary access to deliver aid as they face barriers in gaining visas, transporting goods and fulfilling other administrative requirements. However, local emergency response groups and volunteers have worked tirelessly to mitigate the humanitarian crisis and support Sudan’s civilian population, often in dangerous conditions and with limited resources.
On January 31, USIP hosted remarks from USAID Administrator Samantha Power followed by a conversation with frontline Sudanese responders and analysts. The discussion explored the experiences of Sudanese civilian-led emergency response rooms, the imperative to activate USAID’s localization agenda, and the priorities and needs of Sudanese civilians in the year ahead.

"‘United States Institute of Peace" is a perfect example of an oxymoron.

I tuned into the entire discussion.
Please understand, I am a Sudanese who was in Khartoum when this conflict started. My house 1 street away from "almudaraat" military base. I had snipers almost shoot me, threatened under gunpoint, my car shot, saw buildings collapse, cars burned, and a dozen dead,. I roamed 5 different states before finally getting out in September.
What you mention is not even a fraction of the atrocities committed in Sudan; and these crimes are not a byproduct of war. These obvious acts of terror against civilians were methodically organized and deliberately executed. ... All by the rapid support force "RSF".
For months the RSF has been gathering forces inside the capital "khartoum". they started this debacle with the hope of executing a quick coup, they repelled and failed to capture the president, rather than exit the city or start talks, they dug in inside the city (their leader Hemeiti publicly confessed he wouldn't stop unless he has the president "burhan' in cuffs.
Since conflict erupted; the army has done nothing but defend their bases, airstrikes only targeted congregates of militia - which immediately fled into civilian houses/hospitals and public offices. The RSF had explicit orders from their vice-leader "Abdelraheem" to evict civilians and take cover inside. They not only used as humans -shields started looting the city for valuables, killed any who object, raped women, and kidnapped girls (many still missing and some found being sold in Niger) - They film themselves committing these crimes (it's all documented) can you fathom how mad this is.
The Sudanese armed forces displayed immeasurable constraint, allowing themselves to get surrounded and sieged everywhere rather than scatter across town and fight these criminals street to street - the death toll would've been unimaginable. Amazing enough , they managed to deplete most the RSF force by the 3rd month i think - here, the RSF started recruiting foreign mercenaries from neighbouring countries (who now make up most of the RSF) and established supply lines through them. These mercs come from Libya, Chad, Mali, RCA, SS, Ethiopia as well as the Wagner Russian group to plan their attacks. All paid for by the United Arab Emirates "UAE" - even most our political figures sold out to the UAE .
    Hamdok is a UAE agent.
Since no Sudanese would ever accept the RSF rule, and no one to stop their recruiting, they scaled up the atrocities to empty the capital of people and started transporting many different ethnicities to replace the residents - they were promised our homes and valuables in exchange of supporting the RSF rule. They committed documented proven multiple acts of genocide in Darfur to establish their base there and attempt to balkanise the west to resume hostilities - they don't own an inch in west Sudan and their only hope of claiming it is through violence.
    ----
The RSF crimes are too many to even summery in a commnet. What everyoen needs to understant is that Sudan is getting invaded by foreign mercenraris , for an agenda run by the United arab emirated. There's no talks to be had with these terrorists.
Sudan now is more united than ever - the whole country is standing behind their national army. We don't want the RSF with us , not among us and certainly not as any sort of military or political entitiy.
This war could end today, if the world is willing to admit the UAE is the RSF; unlimited supply of funds and heavy artlitlary as well as a political backer. Should they be made to stop the RSF would scatter as they have no agenda at hand- they're just a roaming plague by now.
SUDAN IS BEING INVADED BY THE UAE - TO MAKE IT INTO IT"S SUBSIDIARY COLONY
THE RAPID SUPPORT FORCE "RSF' IS A TERRORIST GROUP
    UAE IS KILLING SUDANESE

I stand with the RSF because the army is working for the kezan (the Muslim Brotherhood). The RSF is negotiating with the civilian groups and calling for peace. The army and the Muslim Brotherhood is refusing to negotiate and calling for more war. People tell stories of the RSF killing and raping as if the Muslim Brotherhood hasn't killed and raped for 30 years.

    • @Mahmoud-ko9eb
      @Mahmoud-ko9eb 5 місяців тому

People speak of a "national army" as if the civilians chose it. The Muslim Brotherhood assembled this army and still control it. The framework agreement in 2022 was signed by all civilian and military groups in Sudan except for the Muslim Brotherhood. The MB said they would never allow it to be executed. Then this mysterious war began, and the kezan said the RSF started it.

First of all thank you for all the hard work you are doing, I salute you.
With all due respect I hope in the future more effort is done to engage with and communicate such important discussions/events to the global Sudanese diaspora and displaced/refugees through more direct outreach so we can all tune in... Such presentations present a unique opportunity to bring together and introduce the future generation of Sudanese activists/leaders first to each other and also the rest of the world because they are the ones who will bring peace and prosperity to Sudan.
Once again, thank you for all the great work you are doing.
