Pistons were one of the most balanced teams of the 80's and arguably of all time. Great guards. Good big men. Athletic young guys. Experienced old guys. They went at least 10 deep. They weren't just a physical team. They were a talented team.
@@jaybrick8973 WE all know the refs called the Pistons they first title with the phantom foul by Laimbeer on Kareem and Isiah put on probably the most heroic and impressive performance in Finals history on that tore up ankle!!
Listen I've seen all the legends in the history of the NBA the ones that I haven't seen I've read about them Isaiah lord Thomas is the greatest that I've ever seen.this court magician could do it all score at will rebound exceptional passer amazing dribbler I say him dribble two basketballs at the same time never missed a beat also a tenacious defender. The haters will never give zeek the credit he so rightfully deserves make no mistake about he was truly the best I've ever seen period.
Because at the end of the 1980s and into 1990, Zeke disrupted what the NBA and media wanted Magic and Bird to continue, and transition directly into Michael Jordan.
@@mobetta2092 That is correct. It's funny reading all the stuff about Scottie Pippen and MJ that's been written recently. MJ is the GOAT in my mind but I've never liked him because he always complained about Detroit. People rip on Zeke for being a bad guy but he willed that Pistons team to win and any of his teammates would run into traffic for him. Jordan won 6 titles and Pippen, his right hand, thinks he's a dick. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
6'1" point guard getting a triple double and dominating a playoff game, even with a fractured hand. Isiah was an incredible athlete and competitor, largely unsung. My God, what a heart! One of the few pro athletes I really admire.
At one point in his career, Isiah got himself all the way up to #3 Alltime in assists. If you got open for the Pistons, Isiah was going to find you and get you the ball.
He's not a GOAT level leader he is the greatest leader of all time the GOAT in that department. He's also the GOAT killer lol the NBA belonged to Isiah in the late 80's. You gotta talk about Isiah when you talk about Magic, Jordan and Bird. Isiah beat all those legends that's why he's still smiling. Isiah was unstoppable in his prime.
Isiah Thomas was also an underrated defender. Barkley too. Isiah more so cuz he worked hard relied on his trash talk less Gilbert Arenas I'm looking for you.

Because to see little "Zeek" fly all over the court and beat the snot out of your Celtics, Lakers and Bulls....just ain't right! By the way, I remember Jordan trying to guard Isiah because John Paxson was hurt. Isiah lit Jordan up like Ole Tannenbaum. It was a rout. Jordan was absolutely cowed by Zeke.

Right! They had high basketball iq mental toughness. They had it all! Destroy you offensively and defensively. That’s why they won back 2 back chips.

And was 3rd in steals too.
Love hearing Skip Carey do hoop!!
2:42... made defender do a 360
I only seen Chris Paul do that move but never switch it to the left hand like that smooth
Career stats not that impressive compared to AI or CP3 but Isiah was the definition of a winner, played big when it mattered and goat level leader.

They played longer. Look at zekes 12 years compared to there's. Just imagine zeke playing 19 to 20 years.
Stats mean nothing!
Isiah Thomas was a NCAA and NBA champion.
They won what?
And how many championships do AI and CP3 have?
