Guruji aap mahaan ho. I could relate to each and every point whatever you said in this video. I am born and brought up in Guwahati. And for the last 2 years I have been posted in Silchar which is the typical Chhoti shehar with Chhoti soch. Posted here coz I applied as Medical officer under State Government. Each and every point, the place hasn’t prospered even after so many years. First day I came in service I saw people only gossiping even doctors who are considered highly professional. Pettiness way way too much. People take every word personally here. Paise nikalti nahi logo se. Sab kuch free me chahiye. Fokat me dawai de do, fokat me consultation kar do. Yahi scene hai yaha Silchar me.
In these 2 years however Guwahati has progressed like anything. Amazing infrastructure development. And so many startups have popped up there.
I myself felt my thinking horizon being affected after coming here in Silchar.
Honestly its been about 5 months since I have seen Guruji’s video and I have got hell lot of clarity on so many things.
And 2 things I am definitely doing within 2024.
    1. Leave Government Job 😂. Enough enough reasons to do so.
    2. Go to Guwahati and setting up my enterprise there.
There’s no point in living in petty Chhoti shehars. Sounds harsh, but is real.

Real estate prices like Ggn mumbai Delhi Bangalore is rising rapidly an average Indian guy will have to work for 25-30 years for clearing emi of a 2 or 3 bhk house. Also India's major cities are lacking infrastructure and money so incapable of handling such huge population.

Awesome classic topic ❤️😃👍- I have lived in metro as well as non metro city so can understand and categorize as advantage and disadvantages
Advantages - 1) Job opportunities and standard of living is high in big cities. Also package is high and approach to life is different .
2)"Time is money" nobody has time for gossip and spreading negativity as office is far from home and people spend 2-4(to&fro) hrs in travelling for job on daily basis .3) You learn to live life with challenges and face life more smarter way than in small cities. 4) People avoid creating mess unnecessary due to time constraints.all are in self msnagement mode .
Disadvantages :1) Health issues are very high in big cities due to pollution , stressful life 2) Difficult to stay with parents in small flats and parents find it difficult to settle in metro city 3) Loneliness- In case of health issues and no family members around chances of getting into depression is very high .4) With time you get disconnected with family members and lose interest in settling into non metro city.5) Post retirement life is very difficult as life is very fast and old people cannot adopt to drastic changes in metro life .

This is true for older generations coz u guys find it hard to ignore relatives and neighbors. Young people don't care about Pettiness of anyone, nor they give much time to others. Small towns with good internet facility, swiggy and other deliveries is very good for living. Less pollution, can afford bigger houses with gardens. Better food. Well educated Newer generations are living better and well rounded life in small cities. Interfering in each other's life is just a mentality, a habit and it can be changed by just ignoring like you ignore others in big cities. And the best place to live should be as per your profession and don't bother too much about how people are judging you.

If you can work remotely from a small town, there is nothing better than it.
In large cities you will spend 2-4 hours daily in commute and the traffic, noise, pollution, honking will heavily drain your energy.
In small towns, you will get more free time to work on your hobbies or side business or do self study. Also cost of property is far less. In large cities you can no longer afford your own house. You will be stuck in a tiny/small 1-2 BHK flat. It is like upper/middle class of small towns migrating to become middle/lower class of large cities.

    • @ClearCutRecaps
      @ClearCutRecaps 11 місяців тому

Right, scoring the same paycheck while working remotely from a smaller city is a massive win. Anyone wasting 2-4 hours commuting daily? Seriously dumb. Aim for a max of 1 hour by picking a decent place to live.
Pollution's everywhere unless you're in the boonies or up in the hills.
Housing comes at a lower cost in small cities, mainly because the folks there aren't pulling in hefty paychecks. And its a tough task to rent out your house in a small city.
The whole "tiny flat" thing? It's all relative. Even in small cities, houses might seem like matchboxes to rural folks.
Bottom line - if you're making bank in a small city, hats off! If not, stop hiding behind excuses and get off your lazy ass.

Sirji, You are speaking like a wise man. But pls consider these facts - some of our cities are already bursting at the seams with problems of exorbitant rent, traffic, drainage and hygiene problems, and in general pollution and lack of harmonious existence vis-a-vis environment. Its not sustainable and utterly so in Indian context where development and transactions of day-to-day are chaotic. We have to talk about bringing some of those development agenda to second and third tier cities for more manageable outgrowth.

Shridhar Vembu's founder of Zoho Corporation journey is a testament to the power of innovation and the untapped potential that lies within rural communities. By establishing Zoho in a village, he has demonstrated that geographical location is no longer a barrier to success. He may be outlier but people who are entreprenuer mind set can also achieve success in small city or rural location

In the end, it depends on the people with whom you are living, what mindset they have is the most important thing. even in small cities, people do not care about what neighborhood people are doing. they mind their own business. Then I saw Ningbo, a port city a much smaller city with Punes population. Then Qingdao which has many industrial and chemical goods manufacturing is also a port city.
China has about 30 cities of the size of Hyderabad/Pune.
There are cities which are specific to certain type of manufacturing. And if you look at the industrial parks you will be stunned. The cost to ship a product from a Chinese inland city to US west coast is less than half of India.

To modernize villages, towns and small cities we need capital which is not existent. Large metros have huge capital for everything and hence they are developed. Their GDPs are higher than some Indian states combined and Industry demands are met here faster in the form of mega projects like metros, IT parks, malls, high rise housing etc.
If everyone moves to large cities for example, take the case of Bengaluru, then people will experience the same kind of problems that find find there - high pollution, overcrowding, high cost of living, high rates of lifestyle diseases, water shortages, flooding, heat waves, social inequality, mental health issues, crime and dozens of other big city problems.
Big city model is an environmentally unfriendly and unsustainable western concept that is good for the profits of mega corporations. Successive governments in India have not developed
rural infrastructure resulting in poverty and lower standards of living (compared to cities). If you come here to the big cities, most will end up in low paid jobs and cheap labour.
It is practically not possible for everyone to end up in mega cities because there are not that many jobs given India's overgrown population. They are selling you dreams so that you can keeping chasing urban lifestyles than require you to keep buying products from companies - In short this success and make it big thing is a sales scam. Already flight of youth from the countryside has created an agrarian crisis and this in the long term will undermine India's food security and traditional social fabric.
Best thing would be to remain where you are, get highly educated, start enterprises that boost rural infrastructure, agriculture, sustainable local production, arts & crafts. Protect and preserve the environment and at the same time preserving the Indian way of life and culture.
Guruji here from his practical wisdom is giving us the best practical advice for you to move to large cities. Because there is such a big crisis of rural unemployment and under-employment, there is not other way to survive or lead a decent life.
But the best option would be to come to cities, earn big and move back. Use the money as capital for your local enterprise.
