My 2c for what its worth. Considering they have a utility patent; one in which i assume is a mailbox that makes things 'disappear', i would pivot this product away from the seasonality of Christmas market and rebrand it "The Magic Mailbox" and cover all the childhood traditions including the Easter bunny, tooth fairy etc. I realise children don't usually write letters to the easter bunny and tooth fairy as they would Santa but there is no reason why it couldn't become 'a thing' and something which the family, kids and parents could bond over with children writing cute letters to all the traditional, mythological icons. The mailbox itself serving a secondary utility for the replies from bunny and fairy with the eggs or money returned back to the mailbox for the kids to find the following morning. Probably a-lot easier and more subtle than sliding tooth fairy money under a pillow! :)
And you could buy different magnetic casings / panels to change the design of the mailbox throughout the year which increases product line for business and generates more income… like 20 different themed sleeves / covers
Why would she?! It’s a seasonal one use product. That doesn’t seem like something that would have her rolling around in money. It’s just not a good idea.
I think it has to do with all the stuff they cut out of the pitch. They just have to find general statements for the Sharks offering or going out, so they end up using stuff that sounds contradictory from pitch to pitch.
I’d make it a more neutral color so it could be adapted for Easter bunny, tooth fairy, etc. I do not buy things specific to one holiday or season. I just hate all the clutter and work of bringing it out, putting it away, the space of storing it.
A lifetime ago I worked with a guy that put a trash bag over his Christmas tree in January, and just left it out permanently, merely removing the bag and recovering it once a year.
Who needs a shark? This product was in Macys , Bed Bath and Beyond and Hallmark this year. Looks like they are doing just fine! Love all the haters on here who clearly haven’t done anything in their lives. Good for these 2 for trying!
True, But I was more referring to the fact that people elsewhere in the world won't have spare money to buy toys that are used for a whole five minutes in their entire life.
No matter what you're considering, assume $50,000 for molds if you're going to go the plastics route. See if you can find a way to have it done anywhere but China though. Let's try, anyway. I always say that I'll gladly pay 20% MORE for Made in the USA, or Germany or Japan or The UK........I wouldn't even blink an eye. I wish more people felt this way, the change would be amazing.
They should make a mailbox connected to wifi where the parent types in what the child’s letter said and they write back with it having a built in printer that prints off “Santa’s” letter back
$49 for a mailbox that disappears letters for Christmas? I don't know about that, how do the Sharks know if this actually really work or is this a scam just because they showed a video of kids looking shocked I'm not convinced. Now a mailbox that can pop up free checks yes I would buy. 😂😂😂😂
Has no one noticed the flap in the mailbox if it did go to santa did santa know what they want if mailbox is just has a secret flap make kids think that it's magic?
Even with Seasonality we have Billion plus Christians :)But what that's fine. Instead of Magic or product, when real help gets to poor and needy,Saint Nicholaus will be happy.
The age range of kids between too young to care and too old to be impressed is so slim. I'd just put a letter in the mailbox and go take it out when they are asleep lol.
I think they should do social media marketing and pay an influencer to demonstrate how the product work. They should do Instagram, youtube, tiktok and even facebook marketing. They can sell direct to consumer online and I think they can sell it for $39.95
I feel a bit bad for them. It is a quite interesting kid’s product, and owners are seemingly very decent and humble people with a good equity offer.
They're Arab and half the panel is Jewish go figure
@@frazmeup they are Italian …

Wow people are dense these days. Terrible product idea.
Lori could’ve done a deal contingent on getting the price down
Why would she?! It’s a seasonal one use product. That doesn’t seem like something that would have her rolling around in money. It’s just not a good idea.
too mant two's, too much investment, too much time needed to build this, too high a cost of goods!!!!!!!!!!!!
They seem to go out for one reason on one business and stay in for the same reason on another business
I think it has to do with all the stuff they cut out of the pitch. They just have to find general statements for the Sharks offering or going out, so they end up using stuff that sounds contradictory from pitch to pitch.
Damn.. .that was a great product, too bad they didn't got a deal 😢
They're doing something right. They're still in business
Why are shark tank episode volume so inconsistent, I go from a low volume video where I maxed the volume bar to an ear exploding video
I’d make it a more neutral color so it could be adapted for Easter bunny, tooth fairy, etc.

Birthdays too
That’s an interesting point... I also feel like it’s a good marketing idea to say it helps with literacy

Barbara: I own seasonal businesses, and I'm out almost all of the days I'm here. for that reason, I'm out.
Why do these new edits cut out the follow up interviews with the entrepreneurs? They just fade out abruptly.
because they always look stupid if they`ve lost and they always say the same thing: "the sharks made a big mistake, i/we will keep going blabla"
And then Mr. Wonderful gave them a deal for no equity, 5 dollar royalties and 3 cookies from each house Santa visits in perpetuity.
I don't think product like this would sell anywhere in the world but USA.
Why not? If it involves kids, could be amywhere

Well most children around the world celebrate Christmas
Barbra: I invested in a reindeer and elf footprint maker for Christmas that’ll fit perfectly with this product… and for that reason I’m out.
😂😂😂😂
Who’s the editor that keeps cutting the video before the end of the scene?😠
The reality is that nobody likes seasonal products to invest... especially Christmas items, it's a highly competitive time of the year.

In Canada, letters to Santa are sent for free with Canada post...with no stamps!
As a Christmas person, I love this.
why does Barbras face always look like it has a blurry filter lol
If I was a business person. I would never do anything seasonal. I need all year around money.
that’s you :)
True. They should have integrate in all year business. He said his father is an engineer.
They should make a mailbox connected to wifi where the parent types in what the child’s letter said and they write back with it having a built in printer that prints off “Santa’s” letter back
Great add on! I’d say get into touch with them :)
"Make it even more expensive!"
I was thinking it was going to be something similar to that too!

I wonder were the letter magical dissapears to in the mail box 😂 lol
Didn't you see the pitch? It gets sent to the North Pole.
North Pole bro. Duh

I assume it's the same as those kids caldrons that are popular now. Flips into a panel underneath
re: "where do the letters go?" Obviously there is a trap door inside. Any other rhetorical questions?
I'd design magic boxes out of this concept
Barbra: ha ha ha I love this I'm out and for that reason I'm Barbra*

Ok so where does the letters go. I hate magic tricks
But what happens if you put one of those mailboxes in a bigger mailbox and it disappears?!

Sorry this is dumb, no repeat orders, seasonal, kids will figure it out pretty quickly where the letter goes if they play with it which they will.
Deffo a QVC product, needs the demo so people can see
But margins too low and mailing costs for it might be too high
