Más y Menos were created exclusively for the series and had no prior appearance in the Teen Titans mainstream comic series. However, they have since been adapted into the mainstream comic line, making them the first original characters from the animated series to make the jump. 5/ 4:40:30 "To me, I've always interpreted this episode of how online predators go after young, impressionable children. He says and does everything to gain Raven's trust, and once she's no longer useful, he jilts her." From Shady Doorags's video
Beast boy is a shape shifting mutant that has the ability to tap into or use the elemental force or power called (the red) which allows him to save and copy every animal/alien organisms that’s connected to the red genetic codes , He has to witness or gain enough knowledge on the animal/alien to turn into it

From what I picked up over the years, here's all the info I can give. Robin: This is the first Robin, Dick Grayson, who later becomes Nightwing. Beast Boy: He was a genetic mutant, though I don't remember from birth or experimentation. He gets crazy strong in the future. I don't completely know how his powers work, though. Raven: A half-demon girl with powers beyond most other titans, including those not shown in the show. Starfire: An alien from planet Tamaran, her first meeting with Robin was her kissing him to learn english. Cyborg: After a horrible accident when he was younger, he got mechanical implants to replace what was necessary. As he grew, he began getting more mods to his cybernetic implants, turning him into a superhero. Not in the show are Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Speedy, Lilith, Hawk, Dove, Guardian, Aquagirl, Gnarrk, Harlequin, Bumblebee, Flamebird, Jericho, Phantasm, Pantha, Red Star, Baby Wildebeest, and many others.
3/ 4:40:30 "The introvert shut in falls in love with a character in a book, choosing him over hanging out with friends and it nearly destroys her life. This show was ahead of it's time. teen titans is one of those That just screams "I'M A 2000S SHOW" Like it's kinda hard to describe but the art style and writing are done in such a way you can just tell from a glance that Yep this show was made in the 2000s. Like it's some how super Dated yet super timeless. and honestly i adore that. There are a few shows like that that somehow REALLY feel like a product of their time yet are so well made that it makes them timeless all the same.
7/ 4:54:25 "Fun fact: Raven's one-liner to Malchior "You taught me spells, but I just learnt a curse" is a Shakespeare reference. It's from The Tempest, said by Caliban to the play's lead Prospero." From Shady Doorags's video
It's likely why Red X was there to show a contrast to Robin. He essentially is Robin had he gone down the dark solitary path he was taking, there's a reason he uses Robin's stolen suit from when he was working Solo against Slade and uses the same voice actor.
6/ Beast Boy 4:49:39 vs Malchior 4:52:04 "People can care about you, but not understand you. People who do understand you sometimes have ulterior motives. Know thy neighbor kinda things." From Shady Doorags's video
8/ 4:40:30 "As an adult, I was looking at this episode thinking it was about sex. Think about it. Malchior introduced himself to Raven when she was feeling lonely and vulnerable. He flirted with her and charmed her because he wanted something from her; and when he got it, his whole attitude toward her changed. I also remember Raven saying somewhere near the end of the episode: "He used me, and I gave him what he wanted" From Shady Doorags's video
10/ 4:40:30 "Honestly thinking back on this episode it feels one for one like a cult when they prey on someone who feels empty and alone. Gives them words of encouragement with the sole purpose of gaining something out of them. Distance them either mentally or physically and in the end basically trap them. Interesting how star fire was treated as a a literal outsider by the big white racist while raven was alone internally. Makes their friendship even stronger" From Shady Doorags's video
2/ 4:40:30 "I'm surprised you didn't touch on the hot button issue of Raven being, for all intents and purposes, groomed and gaslit by an older man. As a kid you don't notice that stuff, but as an adult...this episode makes Malchior much creepier and more evil than he normally would be." From Shady Doorags's video
every titan got the spotlight for each season except starfire. robin got season 1, terra for 2, cyborg for 3, raven for 4, and beast boy for 5. i wish they had one last season to center on starfire. she was the reason they became a team in the first place. i think it would have been fitting to end the series with a good character arc for her.
9/ 4:40:30 "It 100% is an allegory of grooming. Same with Slade and Terra, even though it was toned down a bunch from the comics." From Shady Doorags's video
4/ 4:40:30 "I also like the not-so-subtle 'be careful of who you talk to online' lesson. Phones & the internet were well on their way to their modern forms during this time & predators were adapting. Malchior is a perfect representation of them & their techniques to lure someone in. (A lonely kid thinks they've met a handsome prince when it's actually a monster in disguise.) I like shows that manage to convey real life dangers so well. Edit: It's also important that it happens to Raven. She's arguably the most logical & level-headed Titan, & she's usually suspicious of others. However, even she quickly falls for Malchior's words. This shows it can happen to anyone, & falling for it doesn't make you stupid" From Shady Doorags's video
As a teenager, I related more to Raven - a quiet loner girl who just wants to be in her room with her books and spells. As an adult immigrant with autism I now relate to Starfire more than ever before. XD
They never state exact ages but I'd guess that beast boy is the youngest at around 13, robin around 14 or 15, starfire about 15, Raven about 14 (and then 15 after her birthday) and Cyborg the oldest at about 17 or 18 ( having mentioned not finishing highschool and him being older then the other titans in the original new teen titans comics that the show is heavily based on)
So I don't know if you guys know but Slade is Deathstroke, one of batman's main villains and the reason they call him Slade and not Deathstroke is because Cartoon Network wasn't cool with the villain having the word death in the name. Slade Wilson is Deathstrokes real name
I remember Him As A Kid That He Is Batman’s First Sidekick And He And Batman Fight Gotham Villain And He Left As His Sidekick He Join The Teen Titans But They Add Nightwing Same As Robin. But It’s Would Cool If Batman Show Up To Save Robin From Slade Aka Deathstroke But I Get That Why They Choose Slade Instead Of Deathstroke Somehow
Winner Takes All is one of my favorite filler episodes of any show. But it’s truly upsetting that we don’t get to see the Tournament of Heroines because I think that would’ve been even cooler to watch than the Tournament of Heroes.
Raven would win IF she let her power express without checks. And it wouldn't even be remotely close, even if you added the guys in, too. Honestly, she would probably win even while keeping her powers supressed. Of the core group, the girls are by far the strongest, but Raven is beyond anything Starfire could even imagine.
@@JadusMoltriel Honestly, I think Raven would have a better chance if she stays in control and would be vulnerable if she gave in to emotion. Just like her battle against Terra. She was fine until Terra got her angry at which point she swiftly lost. I don't think it would be THAT extreme in the tournament, but someone MIGHT have a chance of beating her if they got her emotionally off balance. But I do agree that the Tournament of Heroines would've been WAY cooler to watch with how much stronger they are.
@@josephbiddle1637 Fair enough. I don't totally agree, but I concede I could be wrong. Either way, it would be cool. As a woman, I of course love the females in Teen Titans.
Weird fact but for some unknown reason, the last episode wasn't shown in the way the previous ones had been... the other episodes of the previous seasons had been on Toonami, but the last episode was randomly dropped several weeks later in the afternoon on a program block called Miguzi and was advertised as " a never before seen episode" .. it was an incredibly strange thing to say the least
It’s worse when you think about it black fire killed her and star’s parents and tried to kill star fire as well. Star fire escaped to earth and boom that’s how she met Robin.
The comics are actually worse. In the comics, on top of the above, Blackfire enslaved her sister and had her tortured (including ordering her soldiers to force themselves on her) for _years_ before Starfire ever came to Earth.
For anyone who doesn't know in the original comic that the Terra storyline is based off of called the Judas Contract I believe Slade was sleep*ing with an underaged Terra. So the creeper abusive angle in this version of the story is intended.
Just keep in mind that if the same character seems different, it's probably a different universe or something. Same characters can have different origins like this Beast Boy and the Beast Boy in Young Justice. I'm pretty sure this Robin is Dick Grayson since he becomes Nightwing in the time traveling episode and the one in Young Justice is also Dick Grayson, etc. Just saying this to avoid confusion if you guys ever watch Young Justice. Events here may not happen in the other and vice versa.
It's always been my theory that the creature in the final episode was the result of someone separating Terra's powers from her ( possibly at her request, in order to live a normal life ) and then who ever removed the powers somehow created the creature from them, with it either escaping to the city ( possibly with bits of Terra's memories to make it go to the city in the first place) or was set loose to see what it would do.. maybe it was a plotline to be used for a 6th season storyline, but was shoved into the 5th when they got confirmation of the 6th season not happening
Despite what we may wish, the crew never actually planned a Season 6 plotline and “Things Change” was the finale by design. Apparently, the 4th Season was expected to be the last one which is why they had the climactic fight with Trigun at the centre of it; they weren’t expecting a 5th Season but they plotted it out to be a proper conclusion and with more of a story arc. They did at one point get told they’d have 20 episodes, but this was revoked back to the usual 13; I believe that Slade might have also teamed up with the Brotherhood of Evil if we got those extra 7… But either way, the controversial final episode was by design. For my part, I’m ultimately feeling it’s not a bad episode but it’s definitely a choice to make it the last one. Putting the deliberate Terra vagueness aside, everyone besides Beast Boy is sidelined for the sake of the message; you’d think they’d all share in whatever the final note of the show was. “Trouble in Tokyo” at least gives us a story after this that finally resolves the Robin/Star romance as well.
25:21 "Did she just play the victim right there?" LOL Blackfire's plan to get Starfire sent to jail was a part of her seeking revenge. The backstory of their rivalry is extremely involved and the comics covered it, but I don't think they actually got into it in the show.
Hope season 3 supercut of Danny Phantom is coming up very very very soon. I'm so HYPED for Clone Wars to be a weekly thing on UA-cam! (I know y'all started it on Patreon, but as what you'd call "broke as a joke." 💜
I just know i'm binge watching this! Hopefully ya'll will also watch Justice League and Justice League Unlimited Animated Shows because they're definitely also a treat!
In the comics, the starbolts were the result of experiments performed on both of them. Starfire's were pink, and Blackfire's were lilac. Also, Blackfire lacked the ability to fly all Tamaraneans have, which was her start of darkness.
My favorite theory about the final episode; The creature is actually a stand-in for Cartoon Network itself. No matter what the Titans do, they can not defeat it. It constantly strings them along for unknown reasons. The creature is black and white (CN logo colors). It appears to be indestructible and malleable. And at the end of the episode, it's the only creature/villain that the Titans aren't shown defeating, with no episodes left to confirm if they do or not. The episode also ends the way death is described, with Beast Boy running into the light at the end of the tunnel (Signifying the death of the series). Terra was only brought back as a plot element and to please the censors. There's a rule in animation/kids TV programs that good guys can't be killed. The censors from CN probably ordered Murakami and crew to show her alive before the series ended. *Finally* let me tell you, as a person who was the exact age this show was targeted towards; this was my favorite animated series, and arguably besides BTAS, it still is. THE FACT THAT THEY BROUGHT TERRA BACK AND DIDN'T EXPLAIN ANYTHING LEFT ME HEART BROKEN FOR OVER A 2 DECADES. And when they announced and started Teen Titans: Go? I was LIVID. HOW DO YOU BRING BACK THE OG CAST AND CREW, AND *NOT* JUST DO A CONTINUATION OF THE SERIES. A CONTINUATION THE FANS DEMANDED FOR OVER A DECADE!!??? Anyways. The Terra episodes were, and still are my favorites from the series. So well done.
As much as one can respect other people's tastes, I simply cannot get over the fact that we've gotten "GO!" as some kind of a consolation award instead of a proper continuity of the original show. Now granted, I don't know what might have occurred for the show to be discontinued, and so abruptly, but personally I just can't stand the "humour" of "GO!". I get that the "gross" branch of it exists, but "GO!" takes it to places I would have never wanted TTs to go into (best current example for me: the milk / udders episode) It is, what it is, though. The show apparently is good enough for a big enough audience, sadly or not, that it keeps going
I can’t stand it either. It’s just a terrible show and it takes the characters and turns them into genuinely stupid, two dimensional versions of themselves. I’m getting mad just thinking about it🤦🏼♀️
I believe Beast Boy can turn itno any animal ( extinct, myth, or otherwise) as long as he has seen an image of it, meaning he can turn into other creatures hypothetically.......
My childhood and oh my word!! I love it, seasons 3-4 are always my favorite... as a Raven lover. :) I love this show so much guys and can't find fans of the show often. Glad you guys liked it cause this is great. "It's like Ben Ten" When they going to realise Raven is Ben....
3:05:49 Yeah we have been waiting for that tournament of heroines for 20 years now lol… they have enough female characters (Starfire, Raven, Terra, Bumblebee, Wonder Girl, Jinx, Cheshire, Pantha)
I have to tell you this. Every time they bring up Control Freak, it's because they are realizing they've jumped the shark, and are trying to ground themselves. Control Freak is the Deus ex Machina.
So y'all asked about superhero therapy. There is a comic if your interested Heroes in Crisis that kinda a mental health PSA from DC comics. I don't want to spoil anything if u pick it up but it's sooo good.
When I first saw this show on Cartoon Network, my honest thoughts were "It's so cool that DC let Cartoon Network have Robin as part of this team of OC teen super heroes." It was YEARS before I learned that the Teen Titans were all canon DC characters that I had just never heard of because I was a Marvel kid who only really knew Batman: The Animated Series for DC.
Hey remember what Cheetah did to Wonder Woman in Justice League Doom. If you wanted the same effect without targeting civilians the dust from "Haunted" would be a very good way to deal with Wonder Woman since Cyborg said she doesn't back down and I think it's harder to remove and less detectable than whatever poison Cheetah used (Granted movie Cyborg may have better tech than Teen Titans)
Yeah. Canned spaghetti in tomato sauce on toast/toasted with cheese, Or spaghetti Bolognese. The two ways I will eat it. For me all my pastas go with mince except macaroni Most of the times I've cooked up some mince that wasn't for nachos (which I cook with a taco mix) I've thrown in some penne pasta. It's the only pasta we had. I'm still an amateur at cooking.
10 minutes in and I’m holding myself back from answering all your questions cuz ik most of them will be answered by watching the show - which you’re doing- LOL
Fun fact, the Titans video game features a competitive mode, where you can play as Mad Mod. And is 4 player co-op. I hear the GameCube version is the best one.

"Fun fact: Raven's one-liner to Malchior "You taught me spells, but I just learnt a curse" is a Shakespeare reference. It's from The Tempest, said by Caliban to the play's lead Prospero."
From Shady Doorags's video
Inside the brief case that Robin worked so hard to get back from Ding Dong Daddy, it was probably his true identity.
It's likely why Red X was there to show a contrast to Robin. He essentially is Robin had he gone down the dark solitary path he was taking, there's a reason he uses Robin's stolen suit from when he was working Solo against Slade and uses the same voice actor.
@@billbill6094 it's like looking in a mirror.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND *The* *Batman* 2004 show underrated as hell and you guys and gal would love it
Starting to think the last half of this compilation is a spaghetti debate and honestly I'm here for it.
When it's a comedy-based episode, the intro is in Japanese, when it's serious, it's in English.

"As an adult, I was looking at this episode thinking it was about sex. Think about it. Malchior introduced himself to Raven when she was feeling lonely and vulnerable. He flirted with her and charmed her because he wanted something from her; and when he got it, his whole attitude toward her changed. I also remember Raven saying somewhere near the end of the episode: "He used me, and I gave him what he wanted"
From Shady Doorags's video

"Honestly thinking back on this episode it feels one for one like a cult when they prey on someone who feels empty and alone.
Gives them words of encouragement with the sole purpose of gaining something out of them. Distance them either mentally or physically and in the end basically trap them.
Interesting how star fire was treated as a a literal outsider by the big white racist while raven was alone internally. Makes their friendship even stronger"
From Shady Doorags's video
2/ 4:40:30 "I'm surprised you didn't touch on the hot button issue of Raven being, for all intents and purposes, groomed and gaslit by an older man. As a kid you don't notice that stuff, but as an adult...this episode makes Malchior much creepier and more evil than he normally would be."
From Shady Doorags's video
One of my favorite shows growing up I’m glad you’re watching it now. Such a banger opening. Also my favorite character is Raven and Starfire.
every titan got the spotlight for each season except starfire. robin got season 1, terra for 2, cyborg for 3, raven for 4, and beast boy for 5. i wish they had one last season to center on starfire. she was the reason they became a team in the first place. i think it would have been fitting to end the series with a good character arc for her.
THANK YOU SORTA STUPID this is gonna play in the background of my studies for the next semester

"It 100% is an allegory of grooming. Same with Slade and Terra, even though it was toned down a bunch from the comics."

after they pointed out princess bubblegum I realized that mumbo sounds like ice king
Ice king and mumbo jumbo have the same voice actor, Tom Kenny😤
@@BlackBeast457 well.... That would explain it
I find it odd everyone goes straight to ice king when no one realizes SpongeBob is the more iconic character
@@dragonsvideos6737 Nah Ice king and Mumbo Jumbo are more Iconic now, Sorry spongebob

"I also like the not-so-subtle 'be careful of who you talk to online' lesson.
This shows it can happen to anyone, & falling for it doesn't make you stupid"
From Shady Doorags's video
shout out the editor for doing 11 hrs

Someone probably already said this but the voice actress who does the voice for starfire also does the voice of princess bubblegum in adventure time
I knew it! I heard it instantly
As a teenager, I related more to Raven - a quiet loner girl who just wants to be in her room with her books and spells. As an adult immigrant with autism I now relate to Starfire more than ever before. XD
Bruh, that thumbnail. 💜
Looks like Starfire giving Robin that work😅
Huh so the thumbnail changed and I'll never know what the context of this is
@@billbill6094same 😅
They never state exact ages but I'd guess that beast boy is the youngest at around 13, robin around 14 or 15, starfire about 15, Raven about 14 (and then 15 after her birthday) and Cyborg the oldest at about 17 or 18 ( having mentioned not finishing highschool and him being older then the other titans in the original new teen titans comics that the show is heavily based on)

They couldn't afford batman, but they do hint at him once or twice
11 hours? This gonna be a movie!
I actually think Slade is a much more menacing name than Deathstroke, and I also think it fits him in this show perfectly. More mysterious and sleazy.
I grew up watching this show when I was little and this gives so much nostalgia 😢
the amount of people that watch Final Exam first ( despite it coming later) with Divide and Conquer being the actual first episode, is mind boggling
@@JadusMoltriel That's fair. I haven't seen much of Raven outside of the Teen Titans series so I could be missing something huge and be dead wrong.😆
The relationship between Terra and Slade (aka deathstroke) is so much creepier in the comics too
Hell yes! I love when these are all slammed together! Super helpful and enjoyable ❤
For anyone who doesn't know in the original comic that the Terra storyline is based off of called the Judas Contract I believe
Slade was sleep*ing with an underaged Terra.
So the creeper abusive angle in this version of the story is intended.
Batman wears all black because he doesn’t want to be shot
Robin wears bright colours because Batman still doesn’t want to be shot
Were breaking our sleep schedules with this one boys
Just keep in mind that if the same character seems different, it's probably a different universe or something. Same characters can have different origins like this Beast Boy and the Beast Boy in Young Justice. I'm pretty sure this Robin is Dick Grayson since he becomes Nightwing in the time traveling episode and the one in Young Justice is also Dick Grayson, etc. Just saying this to avoid confusion if you guys ever watch Young Justice. Events here may not happen in the other and vice versa.
I shamelessly went straight to my favorite episode and then watched the rest :>
It's always been my theory that the creature in the final episode was the result of someone separating Terra's powers from her ( possibly at her request, in order to live a normal life ) and then who ever removed the powers somehow created the creature from them, with it either escaping to the city ( possibly with bits of Terra's memories to make it go to the city in the first
place) or was set loose to see what it would do.. maybe it was a plotline to be used for a 6th season storyline, but was shoved into the 5th when they got confirmation of the 6th season not happening
12 hours!? I love this channel istg
10:00:05 yeah that's usually the case in most modern continuities. Check out My Adventures With Superman if you haven't, I love that take on them
25:21 "Did she just play the victim right there?"
LOL Blackfire's plan to get Starfire sent to jail was a part of her seeking revenge.

I give you guys my respect to watching the whole teen titans show, for almost 12 hours, amazing job❤
I mean this was split up over multiple multiple days/weeks/etc. Binging 5 seasons is a chore, but it’s just like any other series they have.
Given what Slade (Deathstroke) did to Terra in the comics, his creep factor is without a doubt intentional
Yeah, so only Starfire and Blackfire can throw Plasma bolts.
The difference is that Starfire’s are lime green and Blackfire’s are light purple.
In the comics, the starbolts were the result of experiments performed on both of them. Starfire's were pink, and Blackfire's were lilac.
Also, Blackfire lacked the ability to fly all Tamaraneans have, which was her start of darkness.
Can’t believe this series is over now 😢… one of my fav cartoons of all time! My 1st time watching the movie with y’all which was fun 😎
My favorite theory about the final episode;
The creature is actually a stand-in for Cartoon Network itself.
I get that the "gross" branch of it exists, but "GO!" takes it to places I would have never wanted TTs to go into (best current example for me: the milk / udders episode)
It is, what it is, though. The show apparently is good enough for a big enough audience, sadly or not, that it keeps going
it disturbs me that my niece only knows of the teen titans because of TTG 😂 maybe when she gets a bit older i'll show her the original series
I can’t stand it either. It’s just a terrible show and it takes the characters and turns them into genuinely stupid, two dimensional versions of themselves. I’m getting mad just thinking about it🤦🏼♀️
i found your channel through the regular show reactions but this will gain you a new sub💯
Speaking of the Batman influences, have you guys seen the DC Harley Quinn series???
3:05:49 Yeah we have been waiting for that tournament of heroines for 20 years now lol… they have enough female characters (Starfire, Raven, Terra, Bumblebee, Wonder Girl, Jinx, Cheshire, Pantha)
4:40:30
This episode is a great allegory for grooming/preying on vulnerable people
I always assumed Red X was Jason Todd the second Robin
I have to tell you this.
Every time they bring up Control Freak, it's because they are realizing they've jumped the shark, and are trying to ground themselves. Control Freak is the Deus ex Machina.
Finished the movie compilation yesterday, back at it with another half a day solo watch party😂❤
If you guys haven't already, I recommend watching the justice league and Justice League Unlimited TV Series (they're both connected)
12 hours?! Amazing.
This and young Justice are my favorite dc shows
Episode 1: "why didn't they do this before?" Yall do understand what being ambushed entails right?
So y'all asked about superhero therapy. There is a comic if your interested Heroes in Crisis that kinda a mental health PSA from DC comics. I don't want to spoil anything if u pick it up but it's sooo good.
When I first saw this show on Cartoon Network, my honest thoughts were "It's so cool that DC let Cartoon Network have Robin as part of this team of OC teen super heroes." It was YEARS before I learned that the Teen Titans were all canon DC characters that I had just never heard of because I was a Marvel kid who only really knew Batman: The Animated Series for DC.
9:37:06 If you wanna see a cartoon show about supers trauma dumping to their therapists might I recommend Young Justice?
Hey remember what Cheetah did to Wonder Woman in Justice League Doom. If you wanted the same effect without targeting civilians the dust from "Haunted" would be a very good way to deal with Wonder Woman since Cyborg said she doesn't back down and I think it's harder to remove and less detectable than whatever poison Cheetah used (Granted movie Cyborg may have better tech than Teen Titans)
The answer to every single mystery is Batman. By the middle of season three I just started anticipating that someone would say it 😂
You know who else reacted to every episode of Teen Titans?
MY MO…oh, wrong series…with quite the interesting thumbnail.
